Chapter 21 Laughing

Deimos

“Goodmorning. Deimos.” Eryx greetsas | walk into our private dining room. “Did you get any sleep after

Leander woke us?” He asks and | grab a coffee before | sit down in my seat, this is answer enough for him as he

chuckles.

Ammon asks why Leander woke us, “He felt someone watching him last night, but he couldn't locate the source

and decided to wakeand Eryx to help him out. | even peeked out the window after Leander had continued

with his patrol, but there was no one out there.” | answer him.

“Could it have been a Pack that cto the Palace to find their reward?” Asha asks and | jump out of my seat to

run down the stairs, my first stop being the main living room. “Fuck, they found it or should | say found it.”

Goliath says in my head and | quickly check every other location, Moon Storm Pack collected

their reward as well.

“Moon Stone Pack and Moon Storm Pack have their reward.” | say as | walk back into the room, Asha asks me

what tLeander wokeand she gets a strange look in her eyes when | say that it was near four in the

morning. Ammon asks Sila if anyone has been taken out of the competition yet and Sila tells him that we won't

know until the competition is over with.

| decided to run border patrol tonight and | use the afternoon to rest, because | want to be able to check the

locations in the morning. Leander joinson patrol and | ask him if it could have been Zalia that had been

watching him, “Damn, | hadn't thought of that. It could have been any of the Packs that want to get their

reward.” He responds.

| ask him if any of the patrols saw anyone that entered the competition, “No, so far none of them has left their

territory. | hope Moon Stone Pack makes it until the end, | want to see if Zalia managed to take out a few of those

Assholes.” He says and we both laugh at that prospect.

We talk to a few of the Warriors on patrol during the night, but they all confirm what Leander already told me.

None of the competitors has left their territory yet and | wonder if they might barricade themselves in their Pack-

houses to survive the challenge, but that wouldnt explain how two of the rewards are already gone.

“Does it say in the rulebook that they can’t barricade themselves in their Pack-house?” Goliath asks and | tell

Leander | need to cut my patrol short, before | rush back to the Palace. | link Sila and Eryx as | Palace and both of

them are waiting forin our private living room, both not looking very happy withwaking them up..

“Sila, is it stated in the rulebook that they can’t barricade themselves in their Pack-house?“” | ask her and | see a

very surprised look

n her face. | explain to Eryx what | had thought of and what Goliath's question had been as result of that

thought.

Sila is going through the rulebook over and over again, Fuck, we never took that into consideration. If they stay

inside their Pack-house it is within the rules and we can’t do anything about it.” She says. “Let’s just hope they

will not be that childish and maybe they didn’t read the rulebook at all.” She continues, but | think at least two

Packs did read it.

Zalia

have managed to get enough sleep during the day and as soon as | am finished with dinner | am out the door,

“Sundown Pack, here | come.” | say in my head and wilight just shakes her head at me. As | near our border |

hear someone coming and | quickly climb the nearest tree to hide in. | patiently wait to see who is

| smile when | see the leadership of Amber Moon Pack and | decide that they will be my target tomorrow night, |

wish | could see the look on their faces when they see Donovan and Gibson's devices. The moment the coast is

clear | get out of the tree, | take my clothes off and I shift into Twilight.

We go past the eastern border of Mystic Moon Pack as we head north to Sundown Pack and with her speed and

fur color | know the Warriors on patrol won't be able to see her. | keep an eye on every

border we pass. it will cin handy when | go after the leaderships of Amber Moon Pack and Spirit Moon Pack.

Like last night I climb into a tree to watch Sundown Park’s Warriors run their patrols and | wonder why there

aren't more reports on Rogue attacks from this Pack, “Maybe they rely on the King’s Warriors to scare of any

Rogue that passes through here.” Twilight says in my head and | turn my head to look at the patrols the Palace

Warriors run.

“I doubt they can see a Rogue that is close to the border of Sundown Pack. I think it is for another reason they

don’t have many Rogue attacks. “I respond to Twilight and we watch the border a little closer to see if we can

find out their secret, suddenly an eye catching smoonlight catches our attention.

“They have ssort of look-out point inside their borders.” Twilight mumbles and as we look along the border

we see a look-out point every few feet, this might be a little more tricky than I had thought. We get out of the

tree on the side facing the Palace and | take my clothes of once more to shift into Twilight.

She finds the perfect spot to cross the border and she keeps watching the Warriors run their patrol, suddenly she

sprints towards their border. She doesn’t stop until we have left the look-out points far behind us and between

strees she hands over control to me, | quickly put my clothes and vest on.

| find a dark corner in the garden next to the Pack-house and | wait for the lights to be turned down inside, it

givesthe tto find my entry point. A door that leads to the dining room of Sundown Pack and the moment

the last lights are turned down | walk towards the Pack-house, but movement from the dining room makes me

duck next to the door.

““Daniel, leavealone.” | hear a female say. “You made it clear that you don’t want me, but for some

reason you can’t just rejectand letlive in peace. | peek around to corner to see Daniel and their Beta’s

Daughter, she is one of the few people that never gavea bad feeling and | hope he isn’t planning on harming

her.

“Liza, my Wolf won't allowto reject you. He will never allowto take another female as my Mate or to

have sex with. All he wants is his Mate and that happens to be you.” Daniel responds. “I know what | said. when |

found out you were my Mate, but it wasn’t because of you personally. You have always been like a little Sister to
