We are in King Alwin’s office when he gets a message with the request to call Alpha Brad and each of us is sitting
on the edge of our seats. Once | hear Zalia say that he has an email | am on my feet in a split second and | nod
my head when | see it, “It is an aufile from alia.”| tell them through the mind-link and King Alwin mutes the
call on our end.
“Dad hasn't said it in those exact words, but it was clear he hoped to retire in a few years. | doubt Elinor and Kali
will be able to learn everything they need to know that fast and their Gamma is completely inexperienced. |
need you to tell my Father that it would be better if he didn’t hand over the Pack to Elinor and Kali, | know he will
listen to you.
He has always been in your corner, he has never had doubts about putting a female in the Gamma position.” We
hear Donovan say and | know what this means, but we need to hear him say it out loud.
“You and Gibson just don’t agree with him, do you?“We hear Zalia’s response and Goliath roars loudly when we
hear Donovan respond, “We totally disagree with him on that, a female should provide for a male and raise their
Pups.” Has the fucking Idiot lost his mind, | would gladly stay at hto take care of our Pups if | had a Mate like
Zalia.
King Alwin unmutes the call but mutes it again after Zalia tells him she send him another recording, if the first
one hadn't been enough to grant Alpha Brad his request this second recording definitely did and | have a huge
smirk on my face when | hear that Donovan and Gibson will be keeping us company for a while after the
competition is over.
For a few moments we just sit in silence, “What are your ideas in regard of Donovan and Gibson?” Queen Axelle
asks and Eryx shoot up straight in his chair, this is something he always looks forward to. He loves giving the
lectures on our laws and he can make them really boring, than he will give them tests at
random.
What they usually are unaware of is that as long as they fail Eryx will keep giving them his lectures and
sometimes it can take along tbefore they figure out how to get back hfast. “Well, my Love. | have this
feeling that Eryx has a few ideas.” King Alwin says teasingly.
“Eryx, would you mind if | helped you out?” Sila asks with a wicked smile on her face and we all know why she is
asking to help him, Donovan and Gibson will make mistake after mistake with Sila around. “OF course, | look
forward to having you around the entire day.” He says before he kisses her on the top of her head.
I walk out of the office in deep thought, I let everything from the past few hours pass through my mind and |
have trouble controlling Goliath. “Want to go for a un?” | ask him and I high-tail-it out of the Palace once he tells
the mind-link.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtTen minutes later | am running along our borders with Leander by my side, for almost an hour we don’t say a
word as we keep our eyes and ears out to find Rogues. We are halfway through our first run along the border
when Leander finally breaks the silence, he askswhat has Goliath so agitated and I tell him. about the phone
call with Alpha Brad.
He nearly tumbles to the ground when | tell him about the second recording and we slow down to a jog as he
tries to wrap his head around my words, “Why is it that smales will never accept a female in a high- ranking
position?” Leander asks me, but we both know | don’t have an answer to that question.
Once we have completed our run around the territory, we shift back to our Human form and after we have

put our clothes back on we sit down against a huge tree not far from the Palace. We spend the next few hours
taking about the female we met almost five week ago at the meeting, “Do you think Zalia will stay within Moon
Stone Pack?” Leander asks.
“No, once the competition is over she wants to start traveling to find her Mate and if she doesn’t find him she
will move to the Palace,” | answer him and | have to explain to him how | can be so sure about her plans. “Then |
hope her Mate is around here somewhere, it will make things a little more interesting around here.” Leander
responds.
Zalia
After our meeting with Alpha Brad is done | head back to Gaia's place and I quickly put on my device before | run
out of time, but Kianda tells| have enough tleft to take a shower. | see Nyx and Jasmine looking at the
hints | wrote down and | decide to take a shower before | start to figure out the best way to find the rewards.
I let my mind run free as the water cascades down my body, | don’t pay the thoughts much mind as everything
passes through my mind. There is nothing could do or could have done to chance anything. Donovan never
wantedas his Gamma that much is clear and | doubt anyone could have changed his mind.
“How can he be so different from his parents?” Fortune asks me. | let it run through my mind as | wash my hair
and body. | know every Pup can have a different view on things than their parents and | know | have had my run
ins with Dad about things on a few occasions.
| was always able to talk to Dad about the things I didn’t agree with and Dad would always letspeak my
mind before he would explain why he did something the way he did. In the end | would always figure out is was |
who had the wrong view and | am glad Dad always allowedto speak my mind.
| turn the shower off as | try to remember if Donovan has ever spoken out about his disagreements, but I never
heard Dad or Alpha Brad mention it and | truly believe Dad would have toldif Donovan had. | dry myself off
before | walk out of the bathroom to get dressed and | push every thought about Donovan “and Gibson out of my
mind, | need to focus on getting those rewards from the Palace.
“Any idea on where to find the reward for Amber Moon Pack?” Nyx asks the moment | walk into the living room
and | pull out my phone to show her the picture took, Enter the Palace from your western border. Find the one
legged King for your reward. Jasmine asksif | know what they mean with that description and | nod my head
as | sit down with my coffee.
“King Alwin’s great Grandfather lost his leg when he saved a little girl from a group of Rogues, he was only
sixteen at the tand he never regretted it for a moment. They were unable to find her family, so they decided
she would stay at the Palace and in the long run it was the best decision they could have made. She was his
fated Mate.” | say as | try to remember where his painting or statue is located in the Palace.
“His statue is standing in the garden behind the Palace right next to the entrance to the large meeting room.” |
tell them as | point at the map on the screen and | really hope that Leander won't be on patrol tomorrow night,
he might be one of the few people that could discover my presence. Not that he is allowed to interfere with the
competition, but if | can avoid anyone finding out | am still in the competition | would prefer it.
Dad printed out a map of the Palace and a map of Mystic Moon territory, | wrote down their patrol from the first
night | went to the Palace along the edge. | am certain that they will change their patrols on a regular basis, but
how often or when it will get changed don’t know and that means keeping my eyes open at all times.

out those corridors can be used to hurt the Royal Family. | trace my route a few times to memorize them, | want
to get in and out of the Palace fast and get those rewards without getting caught.

spend in a relaxing manner, | have a
normal night sleep and | pelea
