A Gamma's Revenge by Ylyanah

Chapter 57 Silent Zalia Twilight is growling in my head as we listen to Deimos explain what happened while we were asleep and 1 let it all run through my mind as I am eating my dinner, I am not sure what to think of this revelation. Hearing Deimos say that he will resign if Alwin doesn't apologize before Axelle shows up calms Twilight down and I believe I have found the answer to my own predicament on what to do if I find out that what I have figured out so far is the truth.

I ask Deimos and Leander what they found on the Alpha floor and when Deimos says they found a lot of files from the original Alpha bloodline Twilight perks up, "We didn't read any of it, it has to be cataloged. and read to see if anything can be used during a trial and that will take a few days. Once it is all cataloged it will go a lot faster, because there will be a lot of Wolves and Lycans to sift through them at the Palace and then it will be easier to tell what happened here." Deimos answers.

I let my mind wander to all the information I found and I start with Dad's story about him and Mom, that Mom had been living at Mystic Moon Pack until the King had found her a new Pack to live in. Mom had been the Daughter of an Alpha that had gotten stripped of his title and his Son had taken over the Pack after that, but something about that still didn't make sense to me. There was a reason Dad sent Alpha Eros and Uncle Cameron, their Archives are meticulously kept.

Even though my paternal Grandfather was an Asshole, he had kept track of every leadership of every Pack ever since he had turned sixteen and Uncle Cameron had kept that in honor. It was in Uncle Cameron's Archive that had made things even more confusing, because according to one of the files Maxwell's Father had another Mate before his Mother and she had died in childbirth. There was a mention of a baby named Juliette being born that day, but no one had ever seen the Pup and after years of waiting Uncle Cameron wrote deceased at birth in that file after about six years.

In one of the files from Alpha Eros I found a notation from his Father, Maxwell didn't have an Alpha Ceremony after his Father got striped of his title. The only reason I could cup with for not having an Alpha Ceremony is the existence of another heir, someone who had more claim to the title than Maxwell did and if the file from Uncle Cameron was partially correct than baby Juliette could be the rightful heir to Moon Stone Pack.

And that madecback to the squestion I have had since finding out that both my parents are from an Alpha bloodline, which Pack did Mom cfrom? "Zalia." Twilight calls out to get my attention. "Why did King Alwin accept Queen Axelle's compromise!? As the King he could easily overrule her and change protocol Twilight asks and I have to recall my classes in school to find the answer to that question. "Because the throne belongs to Axelle and not to Alwin, he is only King in nbut with his actions he can get Axelle in a difficult position." I answer her.

"Does Alwin understand how much damage he could do to his Son by disobeying his Mate?" I ask as I look at Deimos and the entire room goes quiet, "Sounds like someone paid attention in class." Leander responds and Dad tells him that both his Pups not only paid attention in class but also when he would tell us things he learned as an Alpha's Son. "He is aware of it, but I doubt it went through his mind when you were asleep. Deimos replies to my question.

My team looks atas if I am speaking a foreign language, "Axelle is our Queen and the throne belongs. to her. She never wanted to beca Queen and she had every intention to pass the throne to her baby Brother, unfortunately he died at age sixteen after a year long battle against cancer. Alwin can't make any decision without the approval of his Mate, because he is only King in name." I tell them and Deimos and Leander both confirm what I have just said.

"What will happen exactly if they don't realize it before Axelle gets here?" Nyx asks as she places coffee in 1/3 Chapter 57 Silent front of us. "Then the Royal Family will lose their Royal Gamma, their future Royal Gamma and me." Leander answers as he hands Deimos anda mug of coffee and Nyx asks him why they would lose him. "Because Deimos has been my friend my whole life. After Eryx started his training as the future Royal Beta he also started to ignoreand even though we have a decent relationship, Deimos and Liam are more of a family forthan my own family.

If something is wrong or botheringI will wake Deimos up in the middle of the night and I know that he will be there forno matter what, the sgoes for Liam. The only thing I can wake my Father or Brother for in the middle of the night is Pack business and preferably only if anyone gets close to the Palace, other than that they don't wantto wake them. Don't getwrong, I know that they lovebut Eryx always has and always will be the favorite." Leder s my says.

"You woke Deimos when you couldn't figure out where was hiding and Deimos woke Eryx because he wouldn't react the sway to Deimos as he would have to you." I say and Deimos is nodding his head as Leander just stares at me, "You were staring atthat night, where the hell were you hiding?" He asks and Deimos tells him in which tree I had been that night. "And every other night I visited the Palace." I tell Leander.

Leander Leander asks and I smile as I ask Hestia to get the blue print of the Palace, which causes a look of shock and Deimos face. "Where did you get a blue print form the Palace?" Deimos asks. Those shouldn't) accessible by anyone outside the Palace." Hestia tells him where and how she found it and I wrap my arms around Deimos as he gets angry, I never asked Hestia how she found it but knowing that Mavka is responsible for sharing it with the public has my blood boiling. After we both have calmed down I place the map in front ofand point out the lining that runs over the entire blue print, "This is the corridor we used to get out of the Palace." I say as I point at the lining that represents the corridor.

"It wasn't that difficult to figure out that all those linings were corridors and someone that isn't paying attention will never see where you can access those corridors, but if you know they are there you can find every access point." I explain as I point to different access points on the blue print and both males mutter "Fuck" when they realize that this is a great breach of security for the Palace. Leander pulls his phone from his pocket at the stdoes, “I'll call Axelle, you call one of the Head Warriors." Deimos says to Leander.

A moment later I hear Axelle answer her phone and when Deimos tells her how I managed to get to their floors I hear her cussing and swearing, "I will take care of this, right away." She says before she disconnects the call and even if Deimos had wanted to tell her about what Alwin did, she didn't give him a chance. I know that he wants Alwin and Ammon to figure it out themselves, but I believe a part of him wanted to throw it in her face that she couldn't handle her Mate.

Leander walks back into the living room as he tells us that patrols inside and outside the Palace have been increased, "Axelle called them in for a meeting, she didn't sound to pleased or at least that is what I was told." He sits down in an armchair as he ask Deimos if he heard anything from Liam, "Not yet and I doubt he will take the risk as long they are all still together, my best guess is that he will wait until he gets to his room. Deimos answers, "I know I would."Twilight responds in my head.

Deimos Right now a part ofis still hoping that someone will figure out what Alwin did, but the more tpasses the smaller that part becomes and for a moment I wanted to inform Axelle but she hung up on me. I thought about calling back but Goliath stopped me, he felt that it was tthat Axelle took saction where it concerns her Mate and that the only way she will finally see that he has been trying to undermine 2/3 her is by letting this play out.

"You don't have to make a decision right now, but depending on how things go when she finds out you can chose to stay on as the future Royal Gamma or you cantel Ammon to go find another. "Goliath had said and I knew he was right, I could make that decision later but I would talk to Zalia about it first. I still don't know what she found out during the competition and I have no idea if that might hold schanges for the future. My first priority will always be my Mate, she will always cbefore anything else. I know that if I what Alwing sign two Lycans will follow me, tuy Father and Leander. Neither one of them agrees with what Alwin gets away with and I have,seen Ammon and Eryx cover for him over and over again, as long ast they keep doing that he will never learn until it is too late. Dad and I have been keeping track of his screw ups over the past seven years and even though they are all small breaches of protocol it shows a pattern, Alwin has trouble following rules when it is inconvenient for him.

1 Knowing that someone is looking into the blue print of the Palace becoming public knowledge settles my mind a little. I may not agree with Alwin but my first loyalty towards the Royal Family lies with Axelle and she deserved to know that the blue print is out there. Why or how Mavka released it I don't know, all I know is that this will have severe consequences for her and I will not be there to bail her out.

It is just after midnight when we all in turn in for the night and Zalia is fast asleep before she could pull the she is of to sheet up, I wonder why she is so exhausted. She slept in my arms for an hour or two and now si dreamland, while I am wide awake. The moment I lay down next to her she moves closer to my side and when I wrap my arm around her she manages to crawl onto my chest, I brush a strand of hair out of her face before I kiss the tip of her nose.

Apparently she doesn't like that because she scrunches her nose and I can't resist doing it again and again, each tshe scrunches her nose Goliath snickers "Okay, Buddy. Tto get ssleep."I say to Goliath as I pull Zalia closer to my chest and I hear him softly mumble that he doesn't want to sleep. I know he will keep an eye on our Mate during the night and after I wake up he will go to sleep, but just as I get comfortable my Father links me. "I hope you're still awake." He says and I know that if I don't respond he will back off, thinking I was about to fall asleep. However, my curiosity wins. I really want to know what happened on the Gamma floor, even though I could always ask Benjamin to showthe footage. "Yeah, I am still awake. Zalia is sleeping peacefully, so go ahead. What happened after we left?" I answer Dad and for a moment our mind-ink is completely silent.
