Chapter 1415: The Heavenly Thunder Bamboo Shoot's Growth

"The Heavenly Thunder Bamboo has grown?!" Li Luo's eyes were filled with excitement as he looked at the five-colored soil basin that contained the Heavenly Thunder Bamboo shoot. The happiness this had brought him was even greater than reattaining the Second Duke Stage. Who knew just how hard he had racked his brains for ways to get the Heavenly Thunder Bamboo to grow? He had no idea what had changed things and thus placed the question in the back of his mind. He would ask his mother later as she was much more well traveled and had more experience. He then recomposed himself and stored the Heavenly Thunder Bamboo shoot safely.

At the stime, the scene created by his breakthrough had vanished and the pillar of light that had pierced the sky began to dissipate into motes of light.

He could now sense that there were weak fluctuations of resonant power hidden all around the area.

It looked as though they served the purpose of protecting him; they must have been secretly set up by Tantai Lan.

Soon after, a beam of light shot across the sky and landed before Li Luo. It was not Tantai Lan nor Jiang Qing'e. Instead, Li Qingpeng had arrived.

Li Luo smiled as he respectfully greeted him. "Eldest Uncle."

"Haha, congratulations, Little Luo. Spending half a year in bitter cultivation has allowed you to regain your second-grade Duke strength. It looks like another Transcendent Duke is about to appear in your family," Li Qingpeng warmly said.

Li Luo modestly replied, "I'm only a second-grade, so it’ll be a long tbefore I form a Transcendent Heavenly Throne. Right, have you seen my mother or Sister Qing'e?"

"The Other Disaster that has afflicted the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin is about to spread to the western part of the Dragon's Fang Lineage's territory. Your mother has thus led her forces to be stationed there. The matters of the Dragon's Fang Lineage are now forto manage," Li Qingpeng answered with a smile.

"How did the Other Disaster spread so quickly?" Li Luo asked in surprise. He had seen the consequences of an Other Disaster at the Blackwind Empire. Just being reminded of that horrifying scene caused his heart to chill. The Other Disaster that had erupted in the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin would be of an even greater scale.

If it spread to the Dragon's Fang Lineage's territories, it would be a humongous calamity.

Li Qingpeng's smile receded and his expression turned serious. "This Other Disaster is truly terrifying. The Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin had to pay a humongous price to stop the spread of corruption towards their core areas. However, they neglected the area that borders the Dragon's Fang Lineage. Thus, it spread at pace much quicker than we had expected."

Li Luo's expression sank. "The Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin is truly treacherous. They are clearly seeking to drag us into their muddy waters."

"Once we are dragged in, the pressure on them will lighten. Although their actions are insidious and vicious, this is an excellent move from the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin's perspective."

Li Luo agreed. "So how is the situation on the western border now?"

"Your mother is personally guarding the northwestern city, and the Heavenly Dragon’s Armies have all been transferred there. The other lineages are also dispatching their Dukes over to assist. The situation has been stabilized, but the Others are like a tide. They have continuously attempted to breach the borders and there are large battles occasionally," Li Qingpeng explained.

Li Luo's expression becmore and more solemn. The Other Disaster's consequences were graver than he had imagined. Was this the goal of the Origin Reversion Institute to begin with?

"Right, in the second month after you secluded yourself, Qing'e left the Dragon's Fang Lineage for the Hallowed Coruscation Ancient College. She said she'd pave your way into the Celestial Mirror Pagoda."

Li Luo wasn't surprised by this, as Jiang Qing'e had already mentioned this to him before.

"It must have been tough for her." Li Luo lightly sighed. Jiang Qing'e and Tantai Lan had important places in his heart, and it had taken him a lot of effort to reunite with them. Thus, he knew that she wasn’t thrilled about going alone. However, the Celestial Mirror Pagoda was critical for his fourth resonance, so she had ventured forth despite everything, preparing to use her connections and authority to pave the way for him. Once things were settled, it would be much easier for Li Luo. Throughout all these years, she was truly like an older sister to him, always helping him out.

"When the situation in the Dragon's Fang Lineage calms down, I'll go and look for her. I can't let her be at the Celestial Mirror Pagoda all alone whilst doing her best to helpout," Li Luo thought to himself.

"Eldest Uncle, now that I'm out, I wish to pay a visit to the northwestern border and see the situation," Li Luo said.

The Dragon's Fang Mountain Range was simply too peaceful, so it didn't suit him.

Li Qingpeng nodded. "I'll arrange for speople to protect you."

He then paused before smiling. "Now that I think about it, a grand event involving the Heavenly Dragon’s Armies is about to start. If you don't go, you might miss it."

Li Luo's gaze flickered. "Does this have to do with the selection of the Grand Guardian General?"

Li Qingpeng nodded. "The position of Grand Guardian General of the Heavenly Dragon’s Armies is an important one. Those who ascend to that role are given a Lesser Sacred Seed, a rarely seen treasure. It will be of great use to you. You had a True Dragon Pill, which is similar, but the Lesser Sacred Seed is on a completely different level."

Excitement arose on Li Luo's face. He had personally experienced how wonderful the True Dragon Pill was. It was a trump card he could use to overcmuch stronger enemies, but unfortunately, it was a limited-use consumable. Alas, he had also completely depleted its strength within the Treasure Domain.
