“What? The Black Dragon Army sealed the city? How did this happen so quickly?” Tyrus’s

face changed. He nearly jumped out of his seat.

They thought they could delay for a few days. But overnight, Julius had already brought

his army to their doorstep. The efficiency was terrifyingly fast.

“Quick! Assemble the troops immediately, prepare to escort Her Highness and His

Highness out of the city!” Wyatt shouted.

“It’s too late. The Black Dragon Army has already sealed the city. We can’t escape.” Eloise

shook her head, her expression grim. Despite being mentally prepared, facing this was still

hard to accept.

“We have to try. We can’t just sit and wait for our demise.” Wyatt urged anxiously.

“It’s futile.” She shook her head again.

She added, “With the military insignia in Julius’s hands, our fate is sealed. Instead of

scurrying around like mice, it’s better to face it head-on, at least with some dignity.”

“Your Highness-”

Wyatt was about to say more but was interrupted by Eloise. “Sir Mitchell, you and your

loyal companions are a blessing to West Lucozia. So, there’s no need to sacrifice

yourselves in vain.

“In my opinion, surrendering would be wiser. We should preserve your lives first.”

“Surrender?” Wyatt frowned with a hint of determination in his eyes. Having fought all his

life, he had never surrendered. This time would be no exception, even if he knew defeat

was inevitable.

“Report!”

“Grand General of the Iron Stallion Cavalry, Julius, accompanied by many generals, is

outside the castle gate.

“We request instructions from Your Highness!” Another guard rushed into the council hall,

reporting the situation.

“So fast? It seems Julius couldn’t wait any longer.” Eloise took a deep breath.

She lifted her sword and walked out of the hall, calling, “Open the gates! Let’s welcome

our guest!”

The heavy castle gates slowly opened. Then, she walked out with her sword in hand.

Julius, clad in golden armor, stood outside the castle gates with an imposing group of

warriors. His countenance remained composed, his gaze piercing, enveloped in an unseen

aura of authority.

Elijah, who had seized the military insignia the previous night, stood at his left, while two

trusted generals, Everett and Shane, flanked him on the right.

And behind them was a contingent of officers from the Black Dragon Army, a formidable

force comprising of several hundred highly skilled warriors.

An individual was required to have an illustrious military record and considerable strength

and earn the respect of fellow soldiers to ascend the ranks within the Black Dragon Army.

Consequently, every officer and leader in the Black Dragon Army was a formidable martial

artist.

It was no exaggeration to assert that with just a few hundred individuals, they possessed

the capability to cut through an army of ten thousand on the battlefield.

“Grand General Rhys, you brought so many people to my doorstep. What’s the meaning of

this?” Eloise stood at the entrance, asking loudly.

“Your Highness, you’re a smart person. You should know what to do. If we lay everything

out, it might not look good on both sides,” Julius said calmly.

At that moment, with the Marshal’s military insignia and leading the Black Dragon Army,

he was like an uncrowned Prince of West Lucozia. Anyone daring to oppose him faced only

a dead end.

“Grand General Rhys, you indeed have the upper hand. We concede defeat.” Eloise

dropped her sword to the ground, her face serious.

She added, “I can support you in ascending the throne. I can even help you seek a royal

title, allowing you to become the Prince of West Lucozia legitimately.”
