I have to admit, It was quite cinematic. Like on those catastrophic movies. Also, quite loud, to the point my ears hurt a bit after all the noise passed, and a large cloud of dust covered the massive mountains of rubble.
I watched it for a moment in my stupidity, not realizing that this place, as The Great One said, had a number of ghosts roaming around. I was too used to chasing after them for days, to even once think this place might be different, and it was.
Fortunately, I wasn't so dumb as to miss the arrival of another ghost but to my surprise, two more arrived almost immediately, and they didn't come just to say hi. They came for blood. My blood.
I spare you how the fight went, but let's just say that I had to cheat a little bit to win it, despite my recent discovery about my movement in fights. I tried my best, but still ended up having to pop back to Loistavadvaar to use the device to replenish my strength, so I could actually win over the three by drenching them from all their additional resources because as undead they didn't really grow tired.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtI had too much on my plate to even consider delivering any damage to them directly. I managed to do it a little bit indirectly, though, as some of them hit one another while trying to get me.
Around an hour later, four other platforms, with massive chunks of the city, were destroyed, crushed into the surface of the planet down below, which also had infrastructure on it, but I somehow managed to take down the three enemies.
Quite tired, despite wanting to continue my hunt, I was forced to go back once again.
My first thought was to get Druoag and gift him one of the stones, but replenishing my strength also made me realize that I was quite close to unlocking the fifth evolution of my 'Shadow soldier' class, which was simply too tempting to ignore, considering the fact that in a short amount of time I already scored big time. All the noise I made was going to only lure more ghosts to me, so I could have other crystals in my reach almost immediately after.
Yes, I know what you think. I was just trying to build up my case for getting that upgrade despite my previous plan, and yes, you are right. But I was still the one with the crystals in his pocket, so it was my decision. And yes, I made it!
Cashing on 1 170 247 788 735 000 regular points, and 53 672 class points, for a total of 1 242 312 554 233 000 and 115 503 class points, thanks to my savings which reminded untouched in Loistavadvaar.
I finally bought that 'Wrath of the void' class upgrade, which gave me access to two new skills. 'Void strike', which allowed me to put some of the void essences into my strikes. It basically worked like wind slashes you might know from comic books, or animated movies, but without wind, and instead with the void essence.
The second skill was weird, as I couldn't really buy it. It had only a single upgrade and quite the mysterious name - 'Unknown Void skill'. Yeah I know, the device could do a better job naming this. Or maybe it was just some weird cover of the real skill name - which was one of my first thoughts, but at that point, I didn't really know.
There was no further evolution of the class, which kinda surprised me.
I upgraded nine skills. Eight twelve times, and 'Void essence V' fully, because there is never enough essence. Never.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe price tag on that was 888 890 888 888 000, which left me with 353 421 665 345 000 regular points, and 15 503 class points.
A good chunk for further upgrades, but at that moment, I didn't really care for anything more than simply filling my stomach with some food as fast as possible, and then returning to finally bring Druoag his crystal, so he would also be able to hunt and strengthen himself.
So after stuffing myself with some quick pizza, I jumped back. My fans were already gathered there, and I have to admit, they were so happy to see me, that they all jumped straight at me. There was no room for anything else, but to get the hell out of there by a dozen shadow walks. As I was running away - Yes, I'm gonna admit that - I also used all my other usual repertoire of skills.
Something funny happened during this procedure. As you already know at this point 'Shadow fusion' allows me to fuze with my shadow, which is getting stronger and stronger with all the void skills I get. Before my recent upgrades, I was able to fuse myself in around 60%, but the new ones allowed me to go past that. As I reached around 70%, a surge of pain traveling through literally every part of my body, prevented me to go any further. As a bonus, I almost paid for that piece of knowledge with my life, as a massive freaking ax fell almost right at my head.
At the last second, I used 'Telekinesis' to slow it down and before it chopped me in half, I managed to evacuate myself using 'Shadow walk'.
It slammed into the ground, making a part of yet another platform crumble.
With this annoying, yet crucial piece of knowledge about my skills, I kept gaining distance, jumping through the air, to reach a different platform and continued activating the shills, because the process, for obvious reasons, got interrupted.
Overall, there were five ghosts there, attacking me at once, but thanks to increasing strength, I was able to face them relatively easier, than before. I identified the weakest one, and over time managed to kick his ass, and then evacuate to Loistavadvaar.
After, I found Druoag and gifted him with the biggest gift he has ever received. A nice crystal, full of points.
