Feeling a bit embarrassed by Nina's words, Freya looked down shyly.
Micah's deep voice broke the silence. "Since we've run into each other and it's about tfor dinner, why don't
we eat together?" Nina immediately jumped in. "We've booked a stay at a nearby guesthouse. Follow me."
Leading the way, they soon arrived at a cozy guesthouse.
Nash called a server, and with Nina and Nash being regulars, they recommended the house specialties to Freya
and Micah.
The meal was ordered with variety in mind. There were about a dozen dishes to give their guests a true taste of
the local cuisine, though in small portions.
When Freya reached for shrimp, Micah, ever the gentleman, peeled them for her without hesitation. Meanwhile,
Nash was not about to be outdone in serving his wife, making sure she was equally pampered. As they enjoyed
their meal, Nina poured Freya a drink. "There are plenty of sights to see around here. Since we've bumped into
each other, how about we explore together?"

"That sounds great!" Freya agreed instantly.
Freya and Micah's interactions had been a bit awkward. Micah was not much of a talker, and Freya was careful
not to chatter too much, afraid of annoying him.
She worried that if he got irritated, he might end their relationship prematurely. This one-month trial period was
an arrangement she had worked so hard to secure.
"I'll go ahead and book you two a room here," Nina offered. "The food is great, and the place is comfortable."
Micah had no objections, and Freya could not have been happier. "We'd love that," she replied with a smile.
Nina arranged for a room with a small, modest-sized bed on purpose. When she handed them the key, neither
Freya nor Micah noticed anything off. However, Nash, who had been observing quietly, caught the mischievous
twinkle in Nina's eyes.
Once Freya and Micah headed off to settle in, Nash pulled Nina aside. "You really are something! You're full of
tricks, you know that?" he said with a grin.
Nash could not help but wonder how he had missed this side of Nina before.
She had always seemed so compliant, almost reserved, during the seven years she had been by his side. But
now it was clear that Nina had a clever, cunning side to her that he had not fully appreciated before. Nina raised
an eyebrow and grinned. "I'm just trying to help. What's wrong with that?"
For Micah, a bed that small was practically child-sized, and now he had to share it with someone else?
The room was not big either, with just a small couch in the corner. Nina had planned everything out, ensuring
that upgrading to a larger room would not be an option.
Being the determined woman she was, Nina made sure to handle everything herself. Initially, the front desk was
not too keen on helping. However, after spersuasion and the sight of swell-placed cash, they agreed.
And just as Nina had anticipated,
when Micah entered the room and saw the tiny bed, he was completely taken aback. The last the had slept
in such a small bed was during
his teaching days in the north, but that was when he was alone.

Now he had to share it with Freya? That was out of the question.
Without wasting any time, Micah headed straight to the front desk, hoping to change the room.
But the receptionist, prepared by
Nina, gave him a polite but firm response. "I'm sorry, sir, but the
els
room your friend booked is our last available one. It's peak tourist season, so if you try to find another place, you
probably won't have
much luck."
That explanation effectively left Micah with no alternatives. He had seen how crowded it was when they arrived, ©
and with Nina and Nash staying in the sguesthouse, there were not many other options.
