Chapter 1199
At an outdoor bar on the outskirts of the city, Nash poured a drink for Joe.
With a slight smile, Nash asked, "As a man, | have to say | don't understand you. There are so many women in
the world. Why are you so fixated on Yvonne?" Joe sneered, "Then why are you so obsessed with Nina?"
Nash met his gaze, speaking each word deliberately. "Because she feels the sabout me."
Joe fell silent, unable to respond.
Taking a swig of his drink, Joe let out a cold laugh. "Cut to the chase, Nash. No need to beat around the bush."
Nash set his glass down, his face turning serious as he locked eyes with Joe. "Removing Yvonne's uterus. Is your
plan to keep her mad for the rest of her life?" Joe shook his head, not answering directly.
A cool breeze blew through, and Joe glanced up at the sky. Suddenly, he heard Nigel's voice nearby.
He turned to see Nigel sitting with a beautiful woman. She was likely his new love interest, judging by the way
Nigel looked at her.

Joe scoffed. "Honestly, Nash, I'd rather Yvonne stay crazy in her own little world. It's better than having her wake
up and see Nigel with someone else."
Nash did not agree with Joe's logic, but he did not argue either. From the Gibson family's perspective, Nigel
moving on made sense.
If Nash were in their position, he might have done the sor maybe even more ruthlessly. However, right now,
as Yvonne's best friend's husband, he was here to discuss things on Nina's behalf.
"Other people's business isn't ours to control," Nash said, his voice steady. "But when it comes to Yvonne, | have
to step in. You can't make that decision for her. Removing her uterus isn't your choice to make." Joe laughed
bitterly. "Nash, don't fool yourself. Yvonne is mine. I'll do whatever | want with her."
Nash leaned forward, his hands pressed firmly on the table. "She's a person, Joe. She's not sobject you
own."
Joe's eyes narrowed. "Letask you this, what if she gets pregnant? What then? Should she have the baby?
And how would that child grow up, with Yvonne in this state? She can't even take care of herself, let alone a
child."
Nash had no response. Joe's reasoning, though cold, was disturbingly logical.
Joe stood up, brushing off his jacket. "I've had my drink. Take care, Nash."
As Joe walked away, he cast a mocking glance at Nigel and his date before heading out.
Later that evening, Nash recounted the conversation to Nina, her heart growing heavier with every word. She
had anticipated Joe's reasoning, but it still felt deeply unfair to Yvonne.

Yvonne was sick, but she could be treated, and one day she might recover. How would she cope with the
realization that she could never be a mother?
Nina knew they had to stop Joe but
realized they could not confront him directly. Nash, sensing her frustration, pulled her into his arms and
whispered, "It's okay. I've already spoken with the hospital.

They've agreed to refuse the surgery, citing her recent kidney
transplant as the reason."
Nina nodded, knowing that this was the best temporary solution. They would have to bide their tand figure
out how to take Yvonne away from Joe.
Later that night, Joe returned hand found Yvonne asleep on the floor. His heart ached as he scooped her up
and carried her to her room.
Yvonne woke up when she felt his arms around her, and tears immediately welled up in her eyes.
"Don't yell at me, brother. I'll be good," she whimpered.
Joe smiled faintly, wiping her tears. "I won't yell, but you have to be good. If you're not, I'll have to scold you."
Yvonne nodded, though she did not fully understand. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she whispered, "Kiss,
kiss. If | kiss you, you won't yell. You like it when I kiss you."
Joe's eyes softened with a smile. Lowering his head slightly, he murmured, "Okay, then. How about you give me
a kiss, hmm?"
