Chapter 1304
"I know you're a good person, but Eugene, why waste so much ton me?" Lydia continued shaking her head.
"There's no future for us together."
She had no feelings for him beyond friendship. That was all they could ever be.
"You still can't get over Quincy."
"It's not like that. It's completely over between us."
"If it's really over, then why not givea chance? Lydia, you're still young. Do you really plan to spend your life
alone because of one worthless man?" Eugene pressed, refusing to back down.
Growing up, he had always gotten what he wanted, and he was determined to have Lydia, too.

Lydia didn't know how to explain it to him. Maybe it was better to let him think what he wanted.
She said nothing, effectively allowing him to believe he was right.
"Lydia, you're really not thinking clearly. If you had a child together and didn't want to remarry for the child's
sake, I'd understand. But now, there's nothing left between you two." Eugene's gaze dropped to her stomach.
He was secretly very happy. He had already decided he wouldn't give up on her, even if she had Quincy's child.
But knowing there was no child made things much simpler.
Now there would be a clean break, with no ties to Quincy, and he could take his place in Lydia's life.
"That's enough," Lydia snapped, her voice suddenly intense. "If you chere just to say things like that, you
should leave."
This child hadn't just been Quincy's, it had been hers, too. Quincy might have been a terrible partner, but their
child had been innocent.
Eugene quickly apologized. "I'm sorry. | shouldn't have said that."
"It's fine. Just go. | want to be alone. | don't want anyone aroundright now." Lydia turned and walked away.
Eugene didn't follow her. Instead, he
lifted his phone, capturing her retreating figure in a photo, positioning his hand to make it
appear as if he was touching her
waist. ,

When Mrs. Perez saw the photo, she was livid. She slapped the table in anger, interrupting dinner.
"What happened?" Mr. Perez put down his chopsticks, seeing her sudden fury.
She thrust her phone at him, clutching her chest with her other hand. "These two are going to givea heart
attack! Look at this. Lydia just left htoday after that huge fight with Quincy, and now she's already with
another man by the ocean!"
Poor Quincy was at home, defending Lydia, while she was off with someone else. What kind of nonsense was
this?
Seeing her breathing grow labored, Mr. Perez quickly set the phone down and guided her to the sofa, gently
patting her back to help her calm down.
Finally, Mrs. Perez caught her breath and, with renewed resolve, said, "You can't go easy on him. We need to be
on the spage and bring him back. We can't keep letting him do as he pleases." en
