“If you think it's safe, then try it.” Thane encouraged me. He pulled open the bottle before returning it back to
me. | stared at the liquid, a bit hesitant, | lifted the bottle to my lips and | drank it all. It had a bitter-sweat taste.
“How do you feel?” he asked, and | shrugged.
“I don’t really feel anything.” | say, placing the bottle back on the table. “I expected ... something.”

He was covered in blood, and silence filled the hall.

| opened the door and she walked in. “I got your message, and | cas soon as | could.” She said to Thane.
“I'll give you stalone with her.” Thane said before leaving.
Mother hugged me.
“I heard about everything; | had been so worried. | am glad you are fine. You are one strong she-wolf” She said, |
could see the pride in her eyes.
“It will take smore months to finally see him. Daisy says she would communicate Ethan's progress with
me.”
“lI can’t believe you are going to be a mother and-1'm going to be a grandma. | still think of you as a child. And
