"Ralaza…"
Reo Heavenshade clenched his teeth, knowing that she was captured before she turned to look at Davis.
"You dare to kill her? Her father is a Mid Stage Autarch while her doting grandmother is a Peak Empyrean. They will not leave you alive if anything happens to her."
"Why don't you see if I dare?"
Davis's lips curled as he spread his hands as though he was an absolute rogue.
But inwardly, he was shaken.
'What…? Spare me from doting grandmothers…'
He already had enough of one grandmother, almost ruining his life for one Soul Emperor. Moreover, this grandmother appeared to be a Peak Empyrean, meaning she was most likely a character from Myria's era or even further back, as she seemed to have trained in the Immortal Cultivation System.
But the fact remained that the grandmother was a Peak Empyrean existence, capable of utter destruction, causing him to not know what to say other than act daring as he could not show any weakness here.
"…"
Reo Heavenshade's teeth rattled, a massive nine-inch tall horn growing out of his forehead as he radiated an immense might of the azure dragon. However, he felt regret at this moment as he felt like he shouldn't have said that, considering the other party was an Anarchic Divergent who would be hunted no matter what, but that also meant that they wouldn't fear death or any kind of threat.
He felt like he was at an impasse, unable to do anything, not even retreat.
Ralaza Heavenshade's felt like if she moved even an inch, she would die.
What's more, a damned little wolf was sitting on her head, and she didn't notice it until Davis mentioned it, making her think how long this little wolf was on her head. This very notion that her life was forfeit from the start for a prideful Azure Dragon Fey like her was hard for her to bear, causing her eyes to turn bloodshot.
"Aahhh!"
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtShe screamed out and exploded with immense power as all three of her energies flailed around her like thousands of whips, causing Nadia to retreat. She pounced forward and fell on Davis's shoulder, whimpering disappointedly.
"Master, she's too powerful to be stopped without harming her…"
"Don't worry. All is good."
Davis inwardly cackled at Ralaza Heavenshade. That move would've cost her her life, but since he relayed to Nadia not to kill her from the beginning, she took advantage of it. However, he was no longer willing to give her second chances, turning to look at her as he cracked the knuckles on his fists.
"Come. If you don't die, you'll at least get crippled, so go heal yourself after you leave this realm."
"…"
Ralaza Heavenshade stared at him with enmity. The other two Heavenshades also surrounded Davis, their stance rigid yet their footing firm and their hands shaped into dragon jaws up and down. Perhaps they were now going to use a battle formation to assail Davis, but he didn't seem threatened at all.
The faint smirk remaining on his expression only sought to imbue more doubts in the minds of the Heavenshade Clan's disciples.
"Enough."
Suddenly, Ralaza Heavenshade spat out blood from her mouth to the side, having seemed to bite her tongue to come out of her frozen state when Nadia cornered her.
"Your targets are those bastards, right? You can have them."
"But Ralaza-"
"I'm not a match… I lost this battle."
Ralaza Heavenshade's brows heavily twitched as though she seemed to be controlling herself from going berserk, causing Davis to blink.
"You do seem to have some hope if you can admit defeat."
"I only admitted defeat for this battle. It doesn't mean I lost the war."
"Fair enough."
She spoke coldly, but Davis shrugged as though this was enough for the moment before turning around and finally walking towards the Hexadra Clan's heavenly geniuses.
"And unlike her or the others I have captured, you vile beings won't even get an opportunity to be exchanged with your powers."
"Says who? The Anarchic Divergent who doesn't know the immensity of the heaven and earth?"
"I could even take you without a head, much less six heads."
"Pfft! Aahaha!"
The three brothers roared as they burst into laughter, causing Davis to smile more. He patted Nadia, telling her to disappear.
It instantly caused the three brothers to stop laughing and become alert as they saw Nadia disappear.
Ralaza Heavenshade had calmed down by now, but she narrowed her eyes. She had heard how this dark wolf was death-attributed in nature, but she didn't believe that initially, as such magical beast wolves have gone extinct, but now, she wholeheartedly believed it as she couldn't sense the little wolf's tracks even after having locked onto it.
"Don't worry. She won't be participating in this battle as I alone am enough."
Davis displayed Nadia's concealment prowess only to tell everyone here if they were to target his people, she might be on their heads, waiting to kill them in one move.
Nonetheless, everyone seems to be shaken at this moment.
Davis took out Yama, its white rod and black curved blade emitting a strange deathly air that caused the souls to shudder. The deathly air it emitted made the chamber feel small and restricted, as though they had nowhere to run.
"I heard you hydras can regenerate extremely fast, so I wonder if you could keep up with my scythe skills…"
Davis took one firm step forward and disappeared from the location, causing the Hexadra Clan's disciples to be alarmed.
'Too fast…!'
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThey thought at the same time, but simultaneously, water energy coalesced around them and turned into a thick water barrier, capable of stopping any attacks as it decreased their momentum and even squashed the overwhelming power.
*Whoosh!~*
Davis quickly appeared between them, directly piercing through the water barrier.
"Aha! Fool, our water has extreme corrosive prop- "
*Rip!~*
Davis wielded and swung Yama, the blade spinning in a mesmerizing and deadly dance. It caused the water barrier to burst like a bubble, and one of the three brothers suddenly stopped blabbering off his mouth, his eyes widening.
His pupils split horizontally, moving away from each other along with the upper part of the head. Another deep gash emerged as his body split into many parts, from underneath the right armpit to the base of the neck, from the left side of the hand to the rib to the right side of the waist, and from the hips to the thighs before a threatening swing completely sliced from the crotch to the head, severing his body into many pieces within milliseconds.
He wasn't even able to raise his voice before he was consumed by a shadowy light that sliced through him many times, causing blood to burst from his body in copious amounts before he fell to the ground, staining everything around him red.
"Second brother!"
The other two brothers screamed out loud as they attacked Davis.
By the time the second brother fell to the ground like a fish that had been butchered, thirty-one layers of water barrier encased Davis within. The deep viscosity of this strange dark water made Davis feel like he was millions of kilometers underneath the dark sea as the pressure was not only unbearable but also highly dangerous as it started to corrode his flesh.
"Not bad…"
Davis never pegged the hydras to be so strong, but he finally understood why they were part of the Twelve Paragon Magical Beasts. His Yama was quickly starting to rust or perhaps melt, causing him to throw it into his spatial ring before he punched out.
A ripple spread from his fist but disappeared without a trace.
"Bastard! You will die as all energies within our sea of darkness reaches nothing like it is endless…!"
The third brother spat out, his eyes bloodshot, but his lips curled into a cold smile.
"Too bad you failed to kill my second brother."
Within the many layers of the water prison that locked Davis within, he saw the purple-robed Hexadra he sliced and diced into pieces and even severed the soul appeared to tremble as though he was coming back to life.
