"Ahahaha!~"
Suddenly, Zanqua erupted into a string of laughter before she stabbed the broadsword on the ground and lifted herself up before pulling it out and placing it on her shoulder.
"And here I thought my two little sisters were naive women who hadn't experienced battle and bloodshed. Even if not for bloodshed, it seems like you two are experienced with battle. I'm satisfied…"
She grinned, taking a battle stance as she waited for them to get closer.
It seemed like she wasn't going to give up and even try to fight them if they blocked their path.
"…"
However, as she held her stance, she suddenly realized the broadsword she held had gone missing, causing her to flinch and look back at a purple-robed man standing in the same pose as her.
"You let me steal your broadsword for the second time. What kind of bandit are you?"
"Shut up!"
Her cheeks turned red. She hated him for bringing her sisters here when, as a good husband, he should have convinced them to let go of her otherwise! If it weren't for him, she wouldn't be in this awkward mess right now!
She shot towards him, her claws extending out from her fingers, appearing even more sharper and deadlier than Panqa's.
Davis was about to cleave at her with the broadsword, but on second thought, he imagined that she wouldn't dodge as he knew she wasn't afraid to die but would even jump at that opportunity. He let go of the broadsword but still clenched his fist, unleashing it towards her.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"…!"
Zanqua reached out with her claws, intending to pierce through his skin, but she felt the space around her compress at this moment, forcing her to be unable to move. She felt her body turn limp at the pressure he emitted, refusing to move under the dual suppression of space and soul force.
At the same time, an incredible pressure crashed down on her from the fist he launched.
She was just flying towards it like a fool as she was unable to stop her momentum, causing her eyes to turn bloodshot from fear. She felt like she was going to die.
Clenching her teeth until her gums blood, she roared or at least tried to, thinking if she couldn't dodge, she might as well as go all out as she roared.
"Break!"
She burned a bit of her blood essence and tried to lash out but came to know that she couldn't. Since her counterattack failed, the backlash was going to hit her, but before it could even begin, the fist he unleashed was right before her eyes.
"Husband!"
Panqa and Lanqua screamed out, thinking he was going to kill her.
The fist Davis sent out unleashed an incredible pressure that was suffocating even to them. They could only see the figure of their elder sister stop in front of Davis, her body coming to a stop forcefully as though she had met an invulnerable force.
They saw blood land on the ground, causing them to believe that Zanqua's stomach was pierced through.
However, as soon as they came close, they saw blood dripping from Zanqua's lips while Davis's fist was still a few inches away from her stomach, which had caved in ever so lightly. It could be seen only the shockwave had made contact, or she might've been blown to smithereens with that kind of overwhelming power acting on her.
"Thank you for showing mercy!"
Lanqua yelled out and quickly held Zanqua by her shoulder, supporting her.
Davis finally dropped his fist and stood up straight, tidying up his purple robe as though he hadn't done anything.
"There- although Lanqua screamed out with such killing intent for me, she still would cry upon realizing you were going to die. Realize what's important for you before all is lost, or even if you want to fulfill your dreams, it would be too late to consider."
"Also, you're currently weaker than your two sisters even if you fought only one of them, so learn some humility."
"Shut up…" Zanqua muttered under her breath, her eyes still out of focus, "You're the one who made them stronger because last time, they weren't that strong…"
"What was that?"
"Nothing…"
Zanqua finally conceded, causing Davis's lips to curl inwardly.
It seemed like force or violence was the best thing to convince a bandit, although this also needed a little bit of emotional manipulation.
"Then let's go to that Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor. While you were mopping around killing your fellow bandits, my Reaper Soul Legion should've already decimated the entire bandit alliance…"
Davis yawned, "They should be sending me a message anytime now that only the Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor is left."
"…?"
Zanqua made a confused expression. Her ability to think slowly returned as she was still struck half-unconscious. Still, killing the entire alliance was easier said than done. From another perspective, it might be even harder than killing the Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor because their ability to flee and regroup is top-notch.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe underhanded means they also would be terrific in certain situations, so knowing what the bandits were capable of, she was going to warn him, but then he suddenly took out a messaging talisman.
"Legion Master, the Norther Sphere Bandit Emperor has escaped. He is wounded, but the others have been taken care of."
"Very good. Follow his trail and track him down."
Davis smiled. His starved Reaper Soul Legion had almost no campaigns and were like hungry wolves pouncing on their prey.
"You- I didn't ask for your help."
Zanqua clenched her teeth, not expecting this would happen. The Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor was hers to kill. She wanted to roar that poaching amongst bandits wasn't allowed!
However, was Davis truly a bandit? She didn't know as he acted like a family man despite his infamy.
"You think this is about you? He picked a fight with my Jadedrite Sword Mini Realm and committed numerous crimes, so I'm merely teaching him what it is to be slaughtered and robbed."
Davis said with some disdain.
After he left the Jadedrite Sword Mini Realm, a new group of bandits was sent. This time, the Poison Haven didn't seem to be high on their horses and obediently retreated, allowing him to retaliate against the Northern Sphere Bandits.
However, he didn't go personally but sent his legion, whose prowess made sure that none of them would die unless they were faced with a Late Stage Immortal Emperor!
And the result couldn't be any more straightforward, with them having decimated probably more than ninety percent of the bandits. It happened the same time Zanqua left, so his Reaper Soul Legion was a lot quicker.
Originally, he did it in order to make sure the triplets weren't overwhelmed when they fought the Northern Sphere Bandit Emperor. It was all supposed to happen naturally so that they could reach a good ending without knowing they were supported, but a few things made them delayed, causing Davis to shake his head and expose his own actions, as hiding destroyed bandit hideouts would be strange at this point.
"Will you finally accept our help, elder sister?"
Lanqua asked her tone somewhat pleading and even insisting.
"Please accept our help. Stay together with us…" Panqa also uttered with feelings of longing.
It made Zanqua's expression shudder a bit before she heaved a sigh, "Fine, have it your way since you two are strong enough to change my mind."
