Chapter 2431 Sent To...
A sea of cultivators flooded out of a mountain. They appeared to be Ninth Stage cultivators running out of the cave entrance and flying away while visible panic could be seen on their faces.
The cultivators outside, especially the Immortal Kings, noticed the opening of the secret realm and couldn't help but narrow their eyes, trying to spot their people.
At the same time, above the skies, the thundering tribulation clouds shuddered ever so lightly as though it was unwilling before starting to disperse. The ninety-thousand kilometers of darkness dissipated from the edge, causing the eyes of the Immortal Kings to widen.
"This…"
"Did the tribulation succeed or not?"
Many cultivators held their breaths, unable to believe the sight they were seeing. Although it was an unknown anomaly that they had never seen in their lives, the fact that the tribulation existed for more than the time it took to finish nine strikes pointed toward the tribulation-taker's survival.
Moreover, they just had their horizons broadened over the many exchanges they had with other Immortal Kings in this short period of time.
It was said that all nine strikes occurring in the Annihilative Immortal Tribulation were heavenly dragon lightning manifestation strikes that would show up at the end of the Destructive Immortal Tribulation. Moreover, at the end was a barrage by the Paragon Magical Beasts, and at least three of them would show up, depending on the cultivator's weakness, excluding the heavenly lightning dragon.
Hearing such a thing had them scoffing, but when they imagined the heavenly pressure, they couldn't help shudder, especially with the Annihilative Immortal Tribulation's aura right above them. If they interfered, they had no doubt that it would be their end as the tribulation would grow powerful to their levels, striking them down.
Even if they were suicidal enough to destroy the Anarchic Divergent, it was useless since the heavens could perceive their thoughts. The tribulation would only get harder when people wanted to help the Anarchic Divergent. It was useless even if they were fearless and wanted to throw away their lives for the world.
Nonetheless, as the dark clouds dissipated, re-visualizing the skies with the light of the day, they couldn't help but heave a deep breath. It was like an immense burden had been lifted off their shoulders.
As Immortal Kings, they didn't know what it was like to relive their mortal or helpless days. But now, they did, but it went as quickly as it came now that they couldn't help but smile about it.
*Whoosh!~* *Whoosh!~* *Whoosh!~*
Instantly, everyone rushed towards the mountains amidst the roaring undulations. It could be felt that were many as seventy-four Immortal Kings at this moment, rushing towards the Void Dust Secret Realm with extreme speed.
Beneath the mountain, the mortals, finally having come out and just relaxed, felt their hearts skip a beat. The heavenly pressure that had just receded returned, but it was not heavenly. Instead, Immortal King auras brushed over their bodies, causing them to feel like their lives were hanging by a thread.
"Speak, who is the one that brought down the immortal tribulation of this scale?"
The Zyrus Family Patriarch was the closest one to the Void Dust Secret Realm. He quickly arrived and asked, but before the mortals could answer, the other Immortal Kings like Lumin Family Patriarch and Dark Void Flame Spirit Patriarch arrived next, followed by the others within a minute time frame that was no more than two seconds.
"…"
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe mortals didn't know whether to feel alarmed or cry out in despair. Their brains had simply shut down, but one of them was level-headed enough to answer.
"I assume that it is because of Mo Tian or Dead End."
Void Terror appeared out of nowhere, his brazen voice echoing throughout the Immortal King's dome of aura.
Instantly, the Immortal Kings couldn't help but raise their brows.
A Ghost Tear Hall's assassin?
Due to the thousands of mortals, they hadn't noticed his disguise, but he had stepped out to reveal himself. They couldn't help count him as smart because if they had found out, it would've been way different!
"Who is this Mo Tian or Dead End you speak of?" asked Zyrus Family's Patriarch.
"They're… monsters. I don't know which one of them brought down the tribulation, but if they don't come out soon, then they might die."
Everyone couldn't help but turn to look at the cave entrance. The spatial ripples emerging from the cave entrance were in a state of chaos and collapse. That much was clear.
"What about Klein Zyrus?"
"Klein Zyrus?" A hint of confusion appeared in Void Terror's voice, "Isn't he kil-"
"Everyone, I'll sell off the Imagery Stone of Mo Tian and Dead End's face off. Whoever pays me the most and escorts me outside will have this…! Otherwise, I'll crush it and die along with my brother over here!"
"What!?"
Abruptly, two figures became circled out by the crowd. They were none other than the two cultivators who followed Davis, Rayleigh, and the wind cultivator. However, the latter revealed the item at his disposal and included Rayleigh in the scene, causing Rayleigh to become panicked.
"Aiya, what do you think of me? We went through tough times together. I'll split the money with you fifty-fifty…!" The wind cultivator also panicked as he whispered into Rayleigh's mind.
Rayleigh didn't know what kind of tough times he had as he could only remember following Mo Tian and breezing the Void Dust Secret Realm. He wished for Mo Tian to survive rather than Dead End. However, he couldn't help but grit his teeth.
"Yes, the entire world is watching. This Imagery Stone can be considered a treasure, a record comparable to ancient records and, perhaps, more valuable. If you major powers think that you could bully two mortals into giving up their livelihood, the world would laugh at you then despise you!"
The Immortal Kings' expressions couldn't help but twitch. They had to admit that these youths had some way with their tongue.
Quickly, one of the Immortal Kings couldn't help but name a price, but it was overbid in an instant.
In the end, they donated a measly five million immortal crystals from each power and borrowed the Imagery Stone. After all, all of them wanted to make copies of it, but there was only one record, but they agreed to play it out here.
*Zzzz!~*
Quickly, a projection appeared and displayed the battle between Dead End and Klein Zyrus. It simply wasn't a battle but a horror movie, one that was directly aimed at Klein Zyrus being chased while Dead End easily thwarted Void Terror, even bringing out a Death-Attributed Scythe that shocked the Immortal Kings.
Then, not only did the Zyrus Family Patriarch's expression become twisted, but the entire family's expressions became unsightly as they saw Klein Zyrus beg Mo Tian for help but failed to secure it multiple times.
The amount that was offered to save Klein Zyrus simply staggered the rogue cultivators, knowing that they would never be able to make such a sum even if they worked till death, as a hundred million immortal crystals wasn't a small amount.
Nonetheless, Klein Zyrus was unable to escape from Dead End and got caught.
When it was finally a face-off between Dead End and Mo Tian, the projection got cut off as they had to run away.
"Woahh…!"
The mortals burst into a wave of cheers, unable to believe such mortals could exist within the same level as them. Even after seeing their prowess, they couldn't tell who exactly was the Anarchic Divergent as both of them seemed to be practically unknown when it came to their origins!
*Ting!~*
But at this moment, the Zyrus Family Patriarch's expression became even more unsightly as he had just received word that Klein Zyrus had died!
"Capture the assassins."
He quickly issued out a command, his figure trembling with rage.
As a Patriarch, he didn't dare kill the disciples of the Ghost Tear Hall as the terrifying beings of the Ghost Tear Hall wouldn't leave him or his power alone by then. Even if he was the head of a major power that conquered a Prefecture, he had to think about the overall safety of his power as he would rather not have the ire of three Supreme Assassination powers at the same time.
However, he could capture the assassins as it was a failed assassination attempt and deal a significant blow like selling them off to slave traders.
These were all unspoken rules. When overstepped, one has to reap the consequences, one that countless powers had seen and ceased to exist. However, he was the Zyrus Family Patriarch. How could he let go of this offense that easily?
He had his own ideas, his eyes flashing with silent rage as today was a tragic day for his family due to the loss of a heavenly talent.
'Dead End… Mo Tian… whoever both of you are… Anarchic Divergent or not, just be prepared to eat the consequences... the heavens are on my side!'
"What!? The secret realm has collapsed!"
Abruptly, the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan's Patriarch was the first one to notice, having the others reeling in shock as they confirmed the same with their senses.
"…!"
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmDead? The Anarchic Divergent was dead just like that!? It couldn't be…
The Zyrus Family Patriarch was dumbfounded. His senses weren't lying.
It couldn't be that the heavens displayed its middle finger to all of them, no?
But while everyone was distracted, they didn't even notice a spatial needle piercing through the void, perhaps because the remnant tribulation aura was still at large.
After that, two figures simply left the mountain forest region in silence.
They were none other than Nadia and also Nadia. She didn't even move as she dispelled her doppelgangers, essentially disappearing from the place, although it left her aura that wouldn't be erased for quite a while.
==========
"My good Nadia..."
Davis sighed in relief as he was stuck on the ground upside down.
The voice of a little girl could be heard, but his mind wasn't paying attention as he told Nadia to dispel her doppelgangers in order to not be found out.
He assumed that place was already encircled to the fullest. After all, who would be stupid enough to let an Anarchic Divergent escape? Therefore, he simply had Nadia leave.
Fortunately, he had that mother tree's help, which sent him flying through the spatial void to who knows where but he knew he was extremely far because of the connection he had with Nadia and the others.
"Big brother…! Is your head okay...!?"
That worried voice again shook him out of his reverie, causing him to incline his head to look at Stella Voidfield's spirit body hovering above him. His brows couldn't help but furrow over the light seeping into his eyes, making him understand that he hadn't gotten used to his body yet.
"Why are you calling me big brother?" he looked at her with some suspicion.
"Hmph!" Stella Voidfield kept her hands on her waist.
"I'm giving respect to your unbelievable strength, obviously. Also, I was extremely moved by the way you fought except for the part where you insulted the phoenix."
"Haha… that's my fault, but what can I do when the heavens are so ruthless…? I had to pick on their weaknesses or die."
"And that's why I didn't care about it that much." Stella Voidfield smirked, "That phoenix deserved it, just like the people who trespass my home to harm me deserve to die. Then, since I had helped big brother from that apocalyptic situation, you'll owe me more, right? Aren't I smart?"
"Too smart…" Davis blinked before he pursed his lips, causing Stella Voidfield to giggle.
He didn't know if it would work on anyone else, but he was aware sincerity was quite effective on him. Moreover, he couldn't sense ill will from this tree spirit. She was rather naive than cunning, but he wasn't going to take advantage of her.
Davis stood up from the ground, patting his robe off the dust before he looked around, wondering where under the heavens he was.
'Well, I'm still in the First Haven World at least...'
With him knowing the general direction of Nadia and Everlight, also Evelynn, he was able to find out that he had ended up somewhere in the west. His current range with Nadia was unknown as he didn't have the time to measure the limit, but he could say that he was quite far since the connection was barely maintainable.
