CHAPTER 460 - Celebration
After the main event, Liu Xueyi hosted a celebratory dinner for Andromeda. While she was bothered by winning, he was very confident about it.
All their friends were present; even Xie Tian was aware and graced the occasion for her sake.
That was also a hard decision for Liu Xueyi, but he knew it was her moment and she would love the few friends she had to be there with her.
"I'm so proud of you," Liu Xueyi said with tears brimming at the corner of his eyes while holding out his hand towards Andromeda, who stood beside him.
She smiled softly before taking his hands into hers. Thanks, hon, for everything."
"Rather than thanking me, I want you to enjoy this moment to the fullest. It's a start to bigger events."
Nodding, Andromeda resigned her fate to doing exactly that as the two of them took the bold step into the hall where the event was held.
Several rounds of applause followed their grand entrance as the venue was lit up with smiles on the faces of everyone present.
The vent kicked off with a bang, and soon she was stolen from Liu Xueyi by Peng Xiaoli, Jian Xiaofei, and his sister, Liu Xiao Xin.
At one point, Liu Xueyi began getting jealous of how they all flooded her, stealing his woman from him. It wasn't until his friends' teased the life out of him that he pushed it all back.

"Then I guess I would have to work my charming self more into her line of sight so she is reminded of what she is missing," Liu Xueyi countered.
"She can have you at home. Just get ready. You have a celebrity as a girlfriend."
"Look on the bright side, Bolin," Hong Chaoxiang cut in, placing his hand on Rong Bolin's shoulders. "He is a bigger celebrity. I bet Andromeda would get jealous when his fans began flocking around him."
'His fans are far away. I bet his co-stars The females, to be precise. What was that name again?" Xu Fang asked, lightly placing a finger on his jaw.
"Fang Qian?"
"Ah yes. Thanks, Fengjin. Fang Qian. I haven't heard from her in the last couple of months. Did she lose her crush level now that you have a girlfriend?"
Liu Xueyi gave a shrug. He was the least interested in the conversation. All he knew was that no matter what happened or how high Andromeda climbed, he would always be by her side as her one and only.
"Anyways, I think I would be alright. It is time to present my gift to her."
With that, Liu Xueyi excused himself, adjusting his tie as he made his way to the front of the hall.
Clink! Clink!
The attention of everyone present was garnered. He cleared his throat, ready to make his speech and present her with his surprise gift.
And then... silence filled the air like an ominous cloud over their heads while they waited for him to speak up once more, but nothing came out of his mouth except heavy breathing.
His eyes darted about before settling on Andromeda, who stood beside Lian Rui at the other end of the room. She looked so beautiful standing there all dressed up in white—a perfect picture of elegance.
Her hair had been done perfectly into soft curls, which framed her face beautifully. It fell past her shoulders, giving off a gentle glow. A smile played across her lips, making them look even prettier than usual.
Her dress hugged every curve of her body, leaving little doubt about why she won this year's fashion competition. The fabric clung tightly against her skin, showing just enough flesh without being too revealing or vulgar.
"It is with great joy that I stand before you all today to celebrate this wonderful achievement with the love of my life. Andy, I love you, and I wish you greater heights than this. Thanks for coming into my life."
A round of applause followed after he finished speaking, and it seemed like no one wanted to stop until he did something else.
When he noticed Andromeda blushing slightly as a result of the praise from those around her, he smiled softly. Her cheeks were flushed pink from embarrassment as well as happiness from knowing how much people loved her work.
She was truly happy as tears brimmed at the corner of her eyes as she watched Liu Xueyi walk towards her slowly as if savouring each step taken forward.
His heart thudded wildly in his chest while his hands shook nervously. It had been a while since he had done something like this. He felt proud yet humbled but most importantly, very grateful to have such an amazing girlfriend.
Coming to a stop in front of her, Liu Xueyi took Andromeda's right hand and beckoned at one of the waitresses present before fixing his attention on Andy.
In no time, the waitress was beside them with a small tray in her hand and a small box the size of a palm.
Curiosity filled Andromeda's eyes as she waited for what was to come next.
"I've got a little gift for you, love. I hope you like it."
He released her hand, picked up the box and opened it gently. The moment he did, Andromeda gasped.

Her heart swelled as the scene unfolded before her eyes. The smiles and jubilation going all around her, the round of applause, all brought back a memory.
As her vision changed, Andromeda found herself in a very similar scene.
The big smile on her father's face, the pride in her mother's eyes as she was presented with her very first car on her big eighteenth birthday, a big step into adulthood.
Unlike then, the faces present became her new family, but more than anything, she wished her mother was present to witness this day with her.
Before Liu Xueyi or any other person could understand what was going on, a tear slid down Andromeda's cheeks.
"Andy?" His deep voice pulled her from her trance and back to the present. The blur became clearer by the second and she could see all eyes on her.
Mustering up a smile, Andromeda shook her head before responding. "It's nothing, Xueyi. I'm just glad."
"Sure?" he asked, making sure all was well.
"Very sure. I just miss Mom."
As soon as she spilt the truth, he pulled her into his warm embrace, gliding his hands slowly over her back.
Not understanding what was going on, the crowd erupted into a big cheer, thinking it was tears of joy.
"I'm sure she is proud. Be happy. I'm sure she would want that," he whispered into her ears before pulling away.
He presented her with the gifts as the cheers once more filled the air. The evening went on, filled with music, glee and eating.
