“We should respect Apollo’s and Alice’s decision. After all, we can’t force Alice to marry into the Rowland Family

without considering her wishes just because she gave birth to Keith’s son.” As James had a soft spot for Alice, he

sincerely wanted to respect Alice’s decision. “Let’s discuss marriage when she agrees to it. We should follow

Apollo’s wishes and keep this matter a secret for the time being.”

“Okay. Since Alice has no intentions of marrying into the Rowland Family yet, it’s better for her if we keep this

matter a secret for now.” Janice nodded in agreement.

On the other hand, Apollo was thinking about something different at the moment. His mother was currently married

to Ethan for his little sister’s sake.

She also claimed that she would divorce Ethan and leave the Knight Family after half a year.

Regardless of her decision, he would always respect her choice. He would never allow his mother to compromise

her happiness for his sake.

The Rowland Family was very nice, and he liked them very much. Be that as it may, his mother would always come

first.

“I didn’t get a good look earlier, but I just realized that this child really resembles Keith.” Janice had been hugging

Apollo all this time, but it was not until this moment that she took a closer look at him.

Keith couldn’t help feeling slightly guilty to hear his mother’s observation.

Then, she suddenly added another remark, “Luckily, Keith isn’t too ugly. It’s really fortunate that Alice is so good-

He felt his heart clench in pain at those words. Is she really my biological mother?

“I think he looks like me,” James cheekily added.

Keith nearly rolled his eyes at his grandfather. Grandpa sure knows how to blow his own trumpet.

“Alright, it’s getting late. The child arrived abruptly, so you should quickly prepare his living arrangements.” Even

though James was elated by the events that took place today, he did not forget about the things that needed to be

done.

“Right! Okay, I’ll go and make arrangements immediately. Sweetie, are you okay with sleeping together with your

father tonight?” Janice was worried that the child might be scared since he was young. Not to mention, he was

staying over at an unfamiliar place.

The truth was that she would have preferred if he slept with her instead. It was just that she knew her place. A

grandmother could never compare with the father.

Apollo stated immediately, “Grandma, I’ve been sleeping alone since I was three years old.”

“What?” She was stunned. Sleeping alone at three years old? Wasn’t he scared?

He added, “Please prepare a room for me so that I will also have my own room in the house next time, Grandma.”

“Okay. I’ll do that.” She immediately nodded when she heard his words.

“Alice has certainly taught the child well.” The longer James got to know Apollo, the more he came to like the child.

Not only was Apollo good-looking and well-behaved, but he was also very intelligent and quick-witted.

Naturally, James’ impression of Alice was also improving rapidly.

He had always considered the Rowland Family blessed if Alice would marry into the Rowland Family, and now, his

conviction was growing stronger.

“Yes. Yes, she really has taught him well. It’s simply wonderful.” Janice nodded profusely. Her impression of Alice

had gone through the roof at this point.

Hence, she couldn’t wait for Alice to marry into the Rowland Family as soon as possible.

It was not just for the sake of her grandson, but also for the sake of her son. It was very rare for her son to have

such strong romantic feelings for somebody else.

She took Apollo’s hand. “Apollo, I’ll guide you upstairs so that you can pick a room. Go ahead and pick whichever

room you like.”

“Great-Grandpa, Daddy, I’m going upstairs with Grandma now.” Apollo did not forget his manners or his etiquette.

“Okay. Go ahead.” James smiled as brightly as a blooming flower. “The child is so well-behaved. Truly well-

behaved.”

“How are you so well-behaved?” Janice could barely resist pulling Apollo into a hug when she held his hand. How is

this child so lovable?

“How is the relationship between you and Alice?” James waited until Apollo had gone upstairs before he started

questioning Keith.

“I haven’t seen her since we came back from the Woland Residence the other day.” Just talking about this matter

was enough to make Keith feel depressed.

“How useless can you be?” James was livid. When he thought about his well-behaved great-grandson, he forced

himself to suppress his rage. “You need to work harder. Don’t slack off and quickly bring her home as your wife.

Otherwise, Apollo will not feel at ease living with us here.”

“I know. I will definitely work harder.” Keith promised earnestly.

James glared at Keith in annoyance. “What’s the point of working hard? You need to focus on your courtship with

her! Alice is the type who is susceptible to gentle methods but rejects forceful approaches. Use your brain and put

more thought into how you plan to court her.”

Keith’s eyes brightened, and he looked straight at his grandfather. “Why don’t you teach me some tricks,

Grandpa?”

“Based on Alice’s temperament, she might not agree to meet you again after she rejected your proposal of

marriage the other day. The situation is different now that you have Apollo. You can look for interesting places to

bring Apollo and invite her to join you. She will not refuse to accompany her son.” James was certainly experienced

in such matters. Thus, he immediately came up with a good plan on the spot.

Keith was so amazed that he gave his grandfather a thumbs-up sign. “You’re amazing, Grandpa.”

“That’s enough. Stop fooling around. If you fail to convince Alice to marry you, then don’t bother coming home

again.” James’ attitude toward this matter could not be more obvious.

“Grandpa, are you throwing your grandson aside now that you have a great-grandson?” Keith was shocked. Is he

really my biological grandfather? Why did both Mom and Grandpa change as soon as Apollo came into the picture?

It feels like I no longer have a place in this family!

“Get lost! You have a wife to woo!” James shot Keith a fierce glare. “I’ve liked Alice from the first time I’ve met her.

Marrying her will be a blessing for both you and the Rowland Family.”

Keith was slightly stunned by the revelation. He had always known that his grandfather liked Alice, but he had never

imagined that his grandfather would have such a high opinion of her.

In all his life, he had rarely seen his grandfather holding such a high evaluation toward another person.

“Don’t worry, Grandpa. I’ll definitely marry her.” Keith’s expression became serious since he had set his heart on

Alice at first sight.

In all his life, there was only one person who attracted him and whom he wanted to marry—that person was Alice.

Therefore, he will do anything to marry her.

After Keith went upstairs, James remained sitting in the living room. Ever since he had gotten on in age, he didn’t

sleep as long as he used to. Moreover, he suddenly discovered that he had such an adorable great-grandson today.

He was so excited that he was not sleepy in the slightest.

Since he could not fall asleep, he thought about calling somebody to share the good news. He had gotten such an

adorable great-grandson after all, so he could not be the only one who knew such joyous news.

He immediately thought about Holland Knight.

James and Holland had been on the same squad in the army, so they could be said to have been companions for

half their lives.

James looked up Holland’s phone number and immediately made the phone call.
