Chapter 1338 Don't Go too Far
Seeing him so angry, Beryl felt a little guilty. After all, he was injured today because of her, and he liked her. Would
it hurt his self-esteem if she said that?
Thinking of this, she became even more nervous, but she couldn't admit defeat. After thinking for a while, she went
to the water dispenser, took a glass of hot water, and brought it to the head of the bed. "Would you like some
water?"
"I won't drink it." His voice was extremely cold.
Beryl felt like she was coaxing a child. She sighed silently and said, "Well, in fact, you're not that bad. I shouldn't
have said that about you."
Unexpectedly, the man didn't appreciate it. "I don't need a hypocritical apology."

Marcellus didn't want to waste such a good night. It wasn't easy to trick her into coming home, and he had paid
such a high price. He couldn't use it all to vent his anger.
So, the man straightened up and signaled her with his eyes. "You feed me some water."
His request was extremely arrogant, and his tone was extremely rude.
He was certain that Beryl would not ignore him. That was why he dared to push his luck.
"Marcellus, don't go too far!"
"How did I go too far? My back is burned like this, and maybe there will be a scar. I won't be able to go to the gym
with my naked arms in the future, and I may be laughed at by others. Is my request ok?"
Beryl glanced at the glass of water on the bedside table and thought, "It's no big deal to feed him a glass of water.
His back is so hot, but he didn't say anything."
Forget it, she wouldn't lower herself to his level.
So, she handed the glass to the man and said, "Drink it."
Marcellus didn't even move his head. "I can't reach it!"
Beryl leaned forward and pressed the edge of the cup against his lips. "How about this?"
The warm water was right by her mouth. She had controlled the temperature just right, so it would not be too hot
or too cold. Marcellus was not in a hurry to drink it. Instead, he raised his hand and wrapped her small hand in his
palm. He brought the cup with him and lowered his head to take a sip.
He drank up half of the glass of water in one gulp.
Beryl watched as the water volume bottomed out and was about to heave a sigh of relief to withdraw her hand.
Unexpectedly, this person held on tightly and refused to let go. "What, what are you doing? Let go of me and I'll put
down the cup..."

when she was pulled by him, she lost her balance and immediately fell toward his chest.
In a panic, she quickly reached out to support both sides of his body, for fear that her pressing would worsen his
injury.
Marcellus didn't take it seriously at all. He wrapped his arms around her slender waist, put his head directly on her
neck, and took a deep breath. His nose was filled with the milky fragrance of her body.
Beryl was startled, but she did not dare to struggle free. "Marcellus! Don't joke around. If I had not stood firm just
now, you would be in pain now!"
"It doesn't matter. I won't let go even if it hurts."
"You!" Beryl glared at him angrily, but there was nothing she could do. "You're a rogue!"
"Yes, that's right. I'm just a rogue who just wants to hold you tightly." Marcellus leaned over and completely held her
in his arms. "Tell me, Beryl, why do I like you?"
Beryl rolled her eyes grumpily. "Yes, I also want to know why you like me."
As soon as she finished speaking, she didn't hear the man speak for a long time.
