Seeing Lily's bewildered look, Anastasia laughed. "Lily, | was just joking. Don't take it to heart!"
At this time, Lily called the nanny and handed Galen over so he could play in the yard. As she got up to pour herself a glass of
water, she asked, "Aren't you afraid your father will scold you for staying here for so long?"
"Nope! Anastasia smiled. "I've already explained things to him. He agreed to letstay with you on a three-month trial."
"Three months?"
"Yeah!" Anastasia nodded. "I told him that since I'm already like this, another three months won't hurt. If | don't gain weight and my
physical condition improves in three months, he can't stopanymore. If it doesn't work, there's nothing much to lose anyway."
Lily noticed that this time, when Anastasia spoke, her face did not have a layer of gloominess. Instead, she seemed calm. She was
looking at things more positively.

"Will your father agree?" With Cameron's rigid front, he didn't seem like an open-minded man.
"Surprisingly, he did, but | don't think he has much hope for me. After all, my body doesn’t have a terminal illness that will kill me
anytsoon."
"Tasia..."
Anastasia raised her head and said, "I'm not sad, so you don't have to comfort me. I'm used to it. Before, | would indulge myself in
overeating. This is just the punishment | get for tending to my emotions. To be honest, my father lovesvery much. I've never
had to worry about what to eat or wear. I'm lucky compared to most people."
"But..." Lily paused before continuing, "You trustthat much? | never said | could help you lose weight."
Since the beginning, Lily only said she could help Anastasia fix her diet. She had never said she could help Anastasia lose weight or
told her how much she would lose. Lily did not like making such promises.
Saying such things would only give Anastasia expectations, and if Lily did not meet them, it would destroy Anastasia’s spirit. By
then, she would be even more discouraged.
That was not the result Lily wanted to see.
"I know! You never said you'd helplose weight, but how you taughtabout food madefeel more comfortable in my own
skin. Also, | feel more energetic. | haven't been as sleepy as | used to be in the past two days."
Anastasia was all smiles as she spoke. Lily studied her face and Anastasia's complexion had indeed improved a lot.
Back then, she had a sickly fair face. Now, her cheeks were tinted with a faint pink color, making her look healthier.
"Do you always feel lethargic when you're back home?" Lily asked casually after thinking about it.

Anastasia's face scrunched up into a frown as she carefully pondered it. "Now that | think about it, | do feel more lethargic at home.
However, it might also be because | don't go out much. | feel comfortable at home, so I'd sleep more."
"Do you feel uncomfortable here?" Lily asked half-jokingly.
"Of course not! | feel comfortable here! It's more comfortable here than at my own house! There's delicious food and fun things to
do, not to mention the cute baby running around. If it weren't because I'm afraid of disturbing you, I'd stay here forever and never
leave!"
Although that was a joke, Anastasia sincerely meant the first half of her sentences.
After all these years, this was the first place besides her own where she felt at ease. Even being at her uncle's house made her feel
uncomfortable.
"Then, do you not feel sleepy here?" Lily smiled.
Anastasia was stunned for a moment before answering, "I don't think so! | did feel a little sleepy after lunch, but it went away. |
don't feel tired at all!"
