Chapter 340: After 3 Weeks
Beneath a sky stained red, but hovering with an eerie yellow glow, a woman’s sobbing could be heard, pitifully.
‘No….please….wake up…….’
‘….Papa….Papa!… Wake up… Sister!…Quickly…Try….’
‘…I…can’t…do…anything…with…my…strength….’
Noises coming from somewhere.
And then a man’s cracked voice, very faintly audible.
‘Kuluk…sin…do….’
‘…drawer….th…row….top….’
A mumble, and a sob, were heard again.
‘Don’t…don’t…die…aren’t you…hmmm…hmmm…hmmm…hmmm…’
Behind the sobbing woman, the sky was gradually sinking heavier and heavier.
‘….give up…can’t….not see…my….’
I was looking at the scenery silently, as if watching a movie and then someone grabbed my shoulder.
I turned around and I saw the figure of a man wearing a black hat and a white mask covering half of his face.
The man in that familiar outfit opened his mouth to speak to me.
“Don’t make a choice you’ll regret.”
‘…..’
That was the last time I heard his voice as I woke up from my dream.
“…Haaah.”
Another dream.
I sighed, drinking the water I had placed beside my bed.
It was a strange dream I’ve been having a lot lately.
I don’t remember much of the beginning, but the end is always the same.
At the end of a ruined landscape, a figure of ‘me’ speaks to me.
‘…I don’t know if I’m dreaming this because I’m having a bad day, or if I’m just…’
Maybe the dream had a message for me.
I muttered to myself, drank the water again, and thought to myself.
‘Don’t make choices you’ll regret.’
That’s what it said.
…But what, exactly, is a regrettable choice?
With that unresolved question, I went back to bed.
…I dreamt of something serious, and I think I heard an important message, but it’s early morning. I’m still sleepy from the trip.
With that, I fell back into a deep sleep.
It was three weeks after I retired from being a villain.

After retirement we’ve been traveling abroad as a group, just the members of Egostream.
We’ve actually spent more time at vacation spots like hot springs, pools, water parks, and beaches than at tourist attractions. Come to think of it, they all have water. Hmm.
Anyway, I had a great time.
It was enough to make me feel better about the idea of parting ways with Stardus.
Seo-eun, Soobin, Ha Yul, Cha-yoon, Choi Se-hee, Mr. Desik, Seo Ja-young, Shinryong, and Ariel, everyone else traveled with me.
Actually…It’s not a good idea to go abroad at this point because security is much worse abroad than in Korea. There are more and more villains and the chances of getting caught up in terrorism are much higher.
But then I realized that the villains are us, and we’re so strong that it’s not a big deal anyway, so I went on the trip. Of course, I made sure to fly safely on the private plane she lent me, just in case.
It was also the last time we could travel anyway.
The current time is in the middle of the third part of the original.
Normally, the still rampaging monsters of the Moonlight Church, the Wish Granter who is slowly starting to align with them, and the White Witch Seo-eun would have been a chaotic collaboration…
However I stopped the Moonlight Church, Seo-Eun is now on my side, and I killed the final boss, the Wish Granter, in advance.
Unexpectedly, it was quite a quiet time compared to other times because I took care of everything in advance.
Of course, there’s still some nasty stuff left to do, and I had a huge task of wooing Celeste during this time…but considering the world is going to go to shit again when Part 4 starts, it’s a pretty relaxing time.
So, yeah. Let’s enjoy this time.
With that thought, I walked out of the room.
Warm sunlight shone through the window.
It was one of my favorite things. Something about the morning sun producing vitamin D or something…
Anyway, ever since I was in my previous world, the warmth of the sun on my body has always made me feel good.
Anyway, when I walked out into the living room, I saw.
“Ugh…”
On the couch, Seo-eun was lying down with Eun-woo hugging her from behind like a stuffed animal.
In Seo-Eun’s arms, Eun-Woo was sleeping with her eyes closed like she was dead.
“…..”
And I smiled, thinking how cute they were together.
Even though they were both bigger than they were when they were younger, it was still cute to see two kids who were the same size cuddled up together.
…But Seo-eun was always a morning person, so that’s one thing, but what’s wrong with Eun-woo? She’s not like this.
I felt such a question when I saw Eun-woo with her black hair tied back, her eyes closed with a white face and not moving.
“Uhh…Uh…Are you awake?”
Seo-eun rubbed her eyes and got up from the couch still looking groggy from sleep.
I stroked Seo-eun’s hair with my hand and asked her.
“Hey, Seo-eun, did you sleep well too? What’s wrong with Eun-woo? She looks like she’s dead asleep.”
“Hmm… Oh, that’s right.”
Seo-eun giggled at my comment and explained.
“It’s because she played a game yesterday.”
“Game?”
Eun-woo doesn’t play games. Usually Seo-eun and Choi Se-hee play games at our house.
In response to my question, Seo-eun began to explain that this was not the case.
Apparently, Seo-eun and Eun-woo played a board game last night, like chess but Eun-woo kept losing, so she kept trying to win, and they played until dawn.
While Seo-eun went to bed, Eun-woo stayed up all night studying how to win.
…and the result is the now-collapsed Eun-woo.
Hmm. Eun-woo is quite the competitor…
As I stared in wonder at Eun-woo sleeping in her shrine maiden outfit, Seo-eun, who was wriggling around on the couch, giggled and spoke up.
“Anyway, Da-in, it’s a good thing. Why don’t you hang out with me today?”
“Huh? Yeah, sure, let’s do it.”
“Hey, Baek Eun-woo, did you hear Da-in? He’s coming over to hang out with us?”
“Mm-hmm…”
“Did you say yes?”
Seo-eun wakes Eun-woo up with a barking laugh and shakes her body impatiently, but Eun-woo can only spit out a sound with her eyes still closed.
Seo-eun jumps off the couch and stretches her hand across the room, saying confidently.
“Come on, then, Da-in, let’s go to the basement!”
“Okay.”
And so Seo-Eun and I set off on our adventure…to the basement.
***
“Come on. I’ll show you the new room I made.”
The basement of the Egostream Mansion, a place under a house somewhere in Seoul, technically only connected by a teleportation device.
We descended together to what had been our first residence.
Seo-Eun is walking down the basement beside me, chattering away.
As we did, I thought about the old days when she was two heads smaller than she is now. We used to walk together like this back then, when Soobin had just arrived.
I can’t believe Seo-eun was so small back then. Well, if it was the original, she’d be destroying Korea by now.
I look down at Seo-eun and get overwhelmed with emotion.
At one point, Seo-eun grinned at me, grabbed my arm, and pointed to a room.
“Come on, Da-in. Here.”
She led me to a fantasy room.
A big, fluffy beanbag chair sat in the middle of the room, with a large, movie theater-like monitor on the wall in front of it.
And underneath it, all sorts of gaming machines connected to the monitor.
There was also a bookshelf full of comic books on the wall.
It was a fantasy space for a homebody.
“What do you think, Da-in? I’ve never shown you this before. My paradise!”
With a hoodie that was bigger than her arms, Seo-eun smiled as she took a step backward.
“Cool. This place is more convincing than a manga cafe. Once you enter, you won’t want to leave.”
“Hehe. It’s nice, right?”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm“Yeah.”
“Then sit down!”
Seo-eun said, tugging on my arm, and I laid myself down on a large beanbag.
It’s so fluffy, I literally feel like I’m being sucked in.
With momentum, I grabbed a comic book from the bookshelf right behind me, saw the red 19 marker and casually put it back in, and then grabbed a normal book from the bottom row and laid down.
“Awww…Good.”
“Isn’t it?”
Seo-eun, who was sitting on a beanbag next to me, smiled wryly and said so.
After sitting down, she fiddled with a remote control and turned on a large monitor on the wall in front of us.
“I’m in heaven sitting here watching this.”
“What is it?”
I asked, looking up with interest.
Seo-Eun, her silver, short hair now slightly longer, flowing slightly to the side, smiled wryly and pointed in front of me.
The speakers above her are playing soothing classical music, while a large monitor like a movie theater shows.

“…..”
The image of my fan cafe was on the big monitor.
I feel dizzy because that big monitor is not a movie, but an internet community.
As I squeezed my eyes shut, Seo-Eun smiled and said to me.
“What do you think, Da-in? Isn’t it fun?”
…I had a feeling that today was not going to be an easy day.
Watching my own fan cafe is torture…
