“Save, huh?”
I looked at her with disdain.
It was easy for her to say. But what she was saying was absurd (and wrong), and it was too late to do anything about it.
Now that the villagers have been released, it’s as if the impoverished village has vanished from the map. Well, it was not yet known publicly.
If the word gets out that the villagers of the impoverished village have been liberated, all hell would break loose.
“I’ll study a lot, improve my magic, and definitely turn the impoverished village into a good village!”
She looked at me with fierce eyes.
She still did not know anything about it. It would be difficult to create a good village out of a village that didn’t exist, though. Anyway, keep up the good work, Liz Cather.

It was a deserted village now, though.
I was not interested in what she had to say, but Liz Cather kept talking on her own, and I listened to her idealism for a while.
She went from right to left, saying she didn’t want anyone to suffer, that she wanted to build a village where people could purify their hearts, and other such nonsense.
She was the kind of person who understands the value of happiness because she had suffered.
The more I talked to her, the more I couldn’t understand how she could be so innocent. In fact, how could she be so optimistic?
Still, why did it irritate me so much?
“Do you have the courage to venture into the village with the highest crime rate by yourself?”
I interrupted her and spoke up.
“What?”
“If you really care about our happiness, can you afford to do that?”
“But I’m not ready yet…”
“You always say that but do nothing. It’s all about your ego. Why don’t you go to the impoverished village and ask the villagers directly what they want?”
I could see her wince at my words.
I may have pushed her too hard, but she was too weak-willed that she got upset over a few harsh words from a boy younger than herself.
I was not convinced that Alicia disliked Liz Cather. In fact, I think she was indispensable to her.
But to me, she was just an obstacle. She can do whatever she wants, but she should not be in the way of the person I adore.
Well, if Liz Cather did whatever she wanted, this country may be destroyed.

“Well, you don’t need to worry about that now, you know.”
“…What do you mean?”
Liz Cather stared at me with her eyebrows arched.
“Because that village is gone.”
“Gone?”
“Gone. So, you don’t have to worry about it anymore. …You have one less burden to bear.”
I felt a sense of discomfort even as I said it. But, well, for now, I should at least be a little gentle.
“Then what happened to the villagers? Where are they now?”
Why would you be so interested in the impoverished village? Maybe she was doing a lot of research on her own without my knowledge.
Well, it was too late for that.
If someone solved the problem first, no matter how hard others worked, the results would not be recognized. It would be like a researcher or a scientist creating a cure.
Of course, only the first to invent it will be honored.
