Abigail replied, “It’s not that he’s looking for a girlfriend. Zack’s just worried about you. He’s afraid of you getting

All in all, it was a pretty lousy birthday. They didn’t even get to have cake because the birthday boy got too drunk
and completely lost consciousness.
In the end, it was Nash who helped Zack to his room.
Abigail had planned to go back to Nash’s hometown with him in the afternoon. They had already bought train
tickets, so they couldn’t, stay to look after Zack. So, the responsibility of cleaning up and taking care of Zack fell on
Cornelia and Marcus.
After all the eating and drinking, the living room and the kitchen were a complete mess. It would take one person at
least an hour or two to clean up.
While Cornelia was cleaning, Marcus made a call and soon a cleaning crew arrived. In no time at all, the house was
spotless..
After the cleaning crew left, Cornelia turned to Marcus, “I gotta say, the most powerful spell in the world is money!”
Marcus chuckled and ruffled her hair, “Tired, huh? do you want to take a nap?”
Cornelia replied, “Mmm.”
They both went back to her room, where Cornelia said, “I don’t have any pajamas for you, so you’ll have to make
do with this clothes.”

Marcus responded, “Okay.”
Cornelia went to the bathroom with her pajamas. When she came out, Marcus was already asleep on the bed.
The air conditioning in the room was turned up high and he didn’t have a blanket. Cornelia was worried he would
catch a cold, so she quickly covered him with a blanket.
But as she got close, Marcus suddenly opened his eyes and pulled her into his arms, “Cornelia……”
Cornelia responded, “Hmm?”
Marcus asked, “What do I have to do to be more important to you than Zack?”
This guy, he really got jealous over anyone.
Cornelia looked at him and said seriously, “I’ve told you before, Zack and Abby are my childhood friends. We’ve
known each other for over twenty years and been through a lot together. To me, they’re like family. They’re really
important to me, so important that I can’t lose them.”
Marcus asked, “What about me? Am I not important? Can you afford to lose me?”
