Without another word, I threw the phone down, not bothering to grab a shirt, and bolted out of my place, the cool night air slapping against my bare chest as I sprinted across the yard to their house.

I'm right here," I whispered, my voice thick with emotion. She whimpered again, her body slowly beginning to still under my touch. I kept talking to her, my voice a steady, soothing murmur as I ran my hand gently through her hair, trying to coax her out of the nightmare.
"It's okay. I've got you," I repeated over and over until finally, her m breathing began to slow, the tension in her body easing as she drifted out of the nightmare's grasp. When she looked calm, I pulled away and stood next to her, watching to make sure she was sleeping now but then she CHAPTER 94 1288 Wouchers started moaning again.
