Selene stared at Gloria in shock. The best friend she knew to be gentle and dignified had morphed into a shrieking

She was only spouting nonsense to Tyler earlier in the day, insisting Vicky had something to do with Gloria’s
kidnapping. Deep down in her heart, however, she knew she did not do it.
After all, today was Vicky’s birthday. Why would she want to ruin her birthday by hiring somebody to kidnap Gloria?
Of all days, she could have chosen the day when Gloria was not under the limelight of her own concert.

“I want to see him.”

Vicky could not help but wonder if there would actually come a year when she could get to celebrate her birthday
with her husband.
