Chapter 291 Revealing The Truth
"Andrei, what is your dream in life?" Alex questioned as he strolled through the bustling streets, accompanied by two individuals, one tall, a mountain of man, while the other was a cloaked figure.
Alex was back on the human continent, currently inside the city of Vlinas, and beside him were Venedikt and Andrei.
"Boss, I want to be the strongest," Andrei said in his cold yet friendly tone without even taking a few seconds to answer.
"Venedikt, What's your dream?" Alex asked, and unlike Andrei, he took a few seconds to think about his answer.
"Peace and Respect."
"I want to bring peace to my family, and I also want to be respected both in the real world and in the Ancient world," Andrei said, his words resonating with a sense of unwavering determination.
'Same as my previous life,' Alex thought, with a warm smile while questioning what was his own dream.
Alex knew that his desire to provide a happy and comfortable life for his family wasn't merely a dream, but rather, it was a relentless goal, a responsibility he would stop at nothing to fulfill.
'Let's start with revealing the truth about the organization and myself,' Alex thought, stopping his chain of thoughts.
Alex knew friendship was like a grand castle built upon the solid foundation of trust, and trust can never be constructed upon the shifting sands of deception and lies.
After staying in contact with Venedikt throughout the last few weeks, Alex had built a decent connection with his brother and knew it was time to start building back his brotherhood with him.
As for Andrei, Alex knew he was a simple man, and anyone his brother could trust, he would do so in a heartbeat.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAlex knew Andrei and Venedikt wouldn't just become close friends with him right away, but it was a start and a well-needed one to remove his image as an official in a mysterious and highly influential organization.
"What do you both think about the Shadow Oblivion Organization," Alex asked after reaching into the narrow streets of the outer area with no one in sight.
"Rich and Mysterious," Andrei said.
"Strong and Highly influential," Venedikt said.
"You are not wrong about the organization, but your perspective is also not completely correct," Alex said, making both of them give him a look.
"I am the organization's leader, and it has no other members except the ones you know about," Alex stated, delivering the first bombshell that left both of them frozen in their tracks, staring blankly at him.
"I am also a simple man in real life, belonging to an average household with no real influence, but in the Ancient World, I've had some fortunate encounters that allowed me to establish connections," Alex said with a smile.
"If this is true, which I don't believe it is, but then again, you don't have a reason to lie to us," Venedikt mumbled like talking to himself.
"Why, Why tell us this information?" Venedikt questioned while Andrei stood to the side, his carefree expression replaced with confusion as he looked toward Alex for answers.
"Because I trust you," Alex said from the bottom of his heart.
"You see, I am building an organization so strong that no power from the real or Ancient world could stand against it, and even though I have all the means to do it, I can't possibly run it alone,"
"So what I want beside me who I can depend upon are not allies who flip-flop with the winds of change or those who nod when things are easy,"
"I want faithful brothers who can weather any storms with unwavering loyalty and be prepared to lay down everything to defend what we will build." Alex began, his voice being casual, like he wasn't talking about anything significant.
"How, or I should say why, would you trust me, whom you met a few times and talked to for less time than I can count on one hand, let alone my brother?" Venedikt asked, his normally stoic and calm expression looking puzzled and alert.
"Trust is built upon actions, not just words or time spent together. I gave you responsibilities, and you delivered."
"You didn't ask for things, and you didn't try to win me over with words, which showed me you are not a greedy individual and, top speed, trying to keep up with Alex.
rather someone whom I can trust,"
"As for your brother, he is an honest and straightforward man whom I liked from our first meeting," Alex said as he stared into Venedikt's eyes with a calm and unwavering gaze.
"You can give me your answer after thinking it over, but for now, follow me," Alex said and vanished like a ghost, appearing tens of meters away before looking back at the two men standing in silence.
'Brother, Do you believe him?' Andrei whispered as he sprinted at top speed, trying to keep up with Alex.
'I do, but now I do not know how much of what I know about him and the organization is true and how much of it is just lies and smoke,' Venedikt said, his mind filling with questions.
'We are taking his offer, right?' Andrei questioned, seeing his brother lost in thoughts.
'He had helped us immensely, so not accepting his offer would be an insult to him and our beliefs, but I first need to understand what kind of person he is to decide whether to stay entirely professional or get more involved with him,' Venedikt replied, deep in thought, as they followed Alex outside the city.
'Well, we will find out sooner or later, so don't overthink things,' Andrei said.
Alex left the city and only stopped after reaching a remote area in the mountain canyons, far away from any prying eyes.
After moments of wait, Andrei and Venedikt also arrived, and as they came to a halt, Alex threw two dark rectangular badges made of polished dark metal.

"Don't keep me waiting for long," Alex said before he used the badge in his hand.
Instantly, the dark surface of the metal started to get filled with nano runes that created a magic circle below his feet, and before the stunned eyes of his brothers, the space around him began to twist, turning hazy within a few seconds.
"Brother, Is this real," Andrei said his expression that of disbelief as he shifted his eyes between the badge and the twisted space before his eyes.
"At this point, I don't even know what is going on," Venedikt said as he used his entry token, and Andrei followed his lead.
Moments later, Alex appeared inside an underground area with a dome-like ceiling covered in lights, well illuminating the room, and the moment he gained his sight, he saw an amiable old man standing before him with a smile on his face.
"Elder Zaff, thanks for your help," Alex said as he placed his hand on his chest to greet the old man Zaff.
Elder Zaff was a great elder of the mercenary guild and also responsible for providing a private place for players to get teleported to.
When Alex tried to mark the city as the teleportation location, he instantly received two notifications from Zero, telling him how to find a secure and private place of a certain size.
While also informing him how the moment he marks the teleportation location, every inhabitant of the domain connected to the system would receive the essential information related to players.
Alex already expected this to happen, as it also had happened on the Human and every other continent weeks before the 'Game' launched.
Lady Margaret was the one to contact Elder Zaff, who looked thrilled at the news that thousands of immortal adventurers would be arriving in this city and the various other clan cities and happily took care of the large place needed in the city.
"The city inhabitants are having various thoughts related to the arrival and usefulness of immortal adventurers, but most importantly, they are taking the news well and positively," Elder Zaff said, in his calm and elderly voice, as he stared at the two new space distortions before him.
"The Immortal adventurer would be very useful, especially in a city constantly in need of brave adventurers," Alex said, and Elder Zaff chuckled slightly.
