'I wasn't expecting a warm welcome, but this is blatant disrespect.' Alex thought, looking at the branch head.
'Varos Aedigarr, a half-giant / half-dragon.'
'He looks more intimidating than I thought, but it's only natural as he is a Rank Five Warrior with the bloodline of the two most superior species on this planet.' Alex thought after seeing the giant of a man from up close.
The branch-head Varos stood at Nine feet tall with steel-like muscles covering his body with two crimson black horns protruding from his skull, making him an intimidating person.
"If you think I am joking, keep wasting your one minute," Varos said, staring straight into Alex's eyes.
'The way he is talking, I don't think I could get any information I wanted from him.'
'I was thinking of giving you a discount to make a good first impression and acquire some information, but now I have changed my mind.'
"Sir Varos, If you don't want this piece of Space Udriutium, then I can leave before the one-minute end?" Alex said as he took out the pitch-black glistering rock.
'Now, This is a good start.' Alex thought after seeing Varos didn't show any emotion after hearing the stone's name, but without even him realizing he took the black stone from his hand.
After observing the stone for a few seconds, Varos' emotionless face was replaced by a big toothy grin.
"What do you want in exchange for this small piece of Space Udriutium?" Varos asked.
"We can discuss a price, but let's talk while we sit on those comfortable chairs," Alex said, as he didn't like bending his neck back to see Varos eye to eye.
--------------------
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Mr.Varos, The Space Udriutium price is two hundred thousand Merit Points," Alex said after getting comfortable on his chair.
"A Space Udriutium of this Size is at most worth One hundred thousand Merit points, and you are asking twice that amount," Varos said in an emotionless tone.
'I can't tell if he is angry or just questioning my sanity.'
"Mr.Varos, you don't need to buy it if you think it's not worth my asking price," Alex replied, making his intention clear not to lower the price.
Alex planned to give Varos a little discount, but after the greeting he received, he wasn't in the mood to get acquainted with him.
Alex was not worried about Space Udriutium price, as the metal supply was non-existence, so finding one at the market price was nearly impossible.
"I will pay One hundred and seventy thousand Merit points, and If you think it's low, you can keep your stone and leave my office," Varos said, not showing a hint of emotion.
'The price is a little lower than what I would like, but if I pushed my luck and he didn't buy the Space Udriutium, things would become troublesome for me, and it would be a headache finding another buyer in a short time, that could give me this many Merit points.'
If Alex wanted to sell the stone for money, he could find hundreds of buyers in a few short hours, but he needed the merit points to acquire the second legacy.
'If I get stubborn on the price, he may outright reject the offer leaving me with a wasted golden ticket, and my chances to meet him in the future would be close to zero.'
"Mr.Varos, I will take One hundred and seventy thousand Merit points for the Space Udriutium Stone," Alex said after considering how much trouble he would need to go through to sell the forging metal to some other high-Ranking adventurer.
"I have transferred the merit points to your card," Varos said as he vanished from his chair, leaving Alex alone.
'If he treats every player like this, I don't even know how that guild got the legendary chain quest from him.' Alex thought as he stood up to leave the room.
Alex picked Varos and not any other High ranking adventurer to meet and sell the Space Udriutium because he was hoping to find some clues to acquire a legendary chain quest from him that would give very lucrative rewards.
Alex didn't know much about the quest, as the guild who completed it didn't release much information other than the NPC who gave them the quest and some of the rewards they got after completing it.
'I would have more than enough time after I acquire my legacy to find a way to get the quest.' Alex thought as he left the room.
Alex was so interested in this quest and not other legendary quests he knew from his previous life memory because one of Varos' quest's rewards was necessary to acquire one of the most broken [SSS] Rank legacies in the whole world.

After reaching the building's ground floor, Alex navigated his way to the bar in the building as he needed to wait for his purchased item to arrive at this adventurer building for him to get them.
Alex knew after he bought the Shield and scroll, it would take close to an hour before they got delivered to the adventurer guild, and the bar was the best place to waste time hearing other people gossip.
'I could buy the Summon Plague Master and Formless Sword Style skill right now, but as I am not going to use them, it would be a waste buying them right now by spending all my merit points.'
After deciding not to spend all his merit points, Alex only bought the Shield and the unsealing scroll, and as there was nothing more to do, he decided to do some research on the private auction he planned to join in a few hours.
'The Auction will start in two hours, and the item list is still unknown.' Alex could find the exact time the auction will start with the help of the game website as AI Zero updated the list of the available auction on the whole human continent every few hours.
'There should be some information on the forums.' Alex searched the forums to get at least some information about the items appearing in the auction, as he didn't want to go blind.
After spending more than an hour in the bar, hearing other adventurers gossip and finding some valuable information on the private auction, Alex left the bar toward the collection counter to collect his items.
After collecting items from the collection counter, Alex left the Adventurer Guild toward the teleportation building.
----------------------
'I could unseal the Shield after reaching the Gold Kingdom Capital [Quivira].' Alex thought as he entered the teleportation building.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe Ice Kingdome only has one big Main teleportation building with hundreds of Rooms with different preset teleport destinations of all the available places one could teleport in the whole Ice kingdom.
Alex didn't stop at any room and went straight to the highest floor as it had special teleportation rooms that could teleport him to any place on the human continent.
The highest floor was less crowded than the other floors as this floor only had three rooms with teleport destinations to the White Flame Empire and the two kingdoms.
After reaching the floor, Alex walked straight to the VIP counter as he didn't have time to wait for the Gold Kingdom teleportation room to reach total player capacity.
As there was only one teleportation room for each kingdom, the rooms needed to reach a certain number of people before they get mass teleported to their destination.
"How much for a VIP Teleportation Ticket to The Gold Kingdom Capital City [Quivira]," Alex asked the cat Demi-Human lady at the VIP counter.
"Sir Adventurer, Please Show me Your Travel Permit." The Cat Lady replied in a sweet voice.
'The Travel Permit is a genius way for every kingdom to earn free money and controls the player population in each kingdom.'
The Travel Permit was a primary requirement to travel to other kingdoms, and getting one was easy as a lifetime permit to any of the two kingdoms only cost three hundred gold coins.
There were two other ways to reach the other kingdoms without a travel permit, one traveling through dangerous roads or being a D Rank Adventurer.
As Both alternatives were more troublesome to achieve than earning three hundred gold coins, most players would spend three hundred gold coins to get a travel permit rather than choosing other options.
The White Flame Empire didn't require any travel permit, but the player needed to complete his second promotion quest before he could travel to the Empire.
'Dose having a beautiful woman at the expensive counter bring more sales, or do they appoint such staff to give the rich customer more eye service?' Alex thought as he handed his Adventurer card.
"Sir Adventurer, The price of a VIP Teleportation Ticket to The Gold Kingdom Capital City [Quivira] is twenty-five Hundred gold coins." The Cat Lady said as she returned Alex's adventurer card.
'Before being sent back in time, I could never have even dreamed of spending twenty-five hundred gold coins just to save a few hours of my time.' Alex thought as he took out twenty-five white flame coins and handed them to the cat lady.
