Chapter 314 Return of Yughragh
"A summoning whistle." The Death King narrowed his eyes as he sensed a powerful entity emerging from the green smoke.
"Rooooar!"
A primordial roar echoed through the air, signaling the arrival of a formidable foe. The wind itself stopped, and the raging waves calmed down as if it were calm before the storm.
Pitter-patter—at the same time, dark clouds gathered in the night sky and rain started falling as if the heavens were preparing for the impending battle.
When the raindrops fell to the ground, it sounded like a bunch of pebbles hitting the ground.
As the storm grew heavier, the small rivers that were formed on the ground washed away all the blood, dust, and pebbles that had accumulated on the ground.
The once-barren landscape was now transformed into a stormy landscape with flowing rivers and a scary atmosphere.
It was like the whole world was evolving in front of their eyes.
Only half an hour ago, the barren landscape was filled with a bustling atmosphere with Haventown still standing proudly—then, it was destroyed and became barren landscape—now, it had raging rivers with waterfalls, and from the ground, a few flowers bloomed mysteriously.
"Third Gate user?" The Death King's eyes shrank, and his heart started to race with nervousness.
Stomp—a single stomp stopped the rain momentarily before it continued falling down.
As the green smoke vanished, a green-skinned creature with prominent tusks and a broad frame stood proudly with a wooden mace in hand. His green eyes looked like a pair of green vortexes, able to suck in souls and unleash unimaginable destruction.
"Rooooooooart!" Yugragh roared loudly, as if he were nothing but a mindless beast.
However, then he closed his mouth and smirked. "Hahaha, it has been quite some time since I have smelled this fresh air, filled with the rich scents of life."
'Yughragh is acting completely different than before!' Ambrose's eyes shook. 'Before, he couldn't properly speak a human's language, and he was nowhere this strong!'
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtYughragh looked around until his eyes landed on Ambrose.
"Hahaha, I wondered why you hadn't summoned me in some time." He grinned. "You need me to fight someone in your stead again? Or perhaps you are finally ready to face me?
"I can sense that you have become more powerful. That is good. It means you can keep me here summoned for longer durations of time.
"However, I have also become stronger!"
"An orc." The Death King narrowed his eyes. "Also, a chieftain of a tribe. How come he is able to summon a creature of this level?"
"Yeah, mind keeping him busy?" Ambrose pointed at the scythe-wielding man.
"Hmm?" Yughragh glanced at the Death King and smirked. "Sure. However, I need something from you."
"What is it?" Ambrose asked with a frown.
"I can see that you are in Dark Waters." Yughragh looked around with a nonchalant look. "I haven't visited this place before, but it doesn't interest me.
"When you've returned to the Light Continent, I want you to summon me and allow me to roam freely till the time is up and the summoning ends."
"What are you planning to do?" Ambrose asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Sightseeing." Yughragh cracked his neck. "I am curious, that's all. Give me your answer, quick. The longer we talk, the sooner my summoning ends."
"Fine!" Ambrose shouted, even though he didn't really believe that Yughragh would only be there to sightsee.
"Good..." Yughragh grinned, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
"You seem to be intelligent." The Death King floated off the ground and spread his arms wide, his hands open, and then two tiny balls of black light appeared on top of his palms.
"However, you are still just an orc, and your intelligence never reaches the level of humans."
Then the Death King threw the balls of black light into the ground.
As the black light seeped into the ground, a hand suddenly sprouted from the ground, and a figure climbed out of the ground. Its skin was rotting and decaying, and its eyes were filled with a malevolent glow.
"..." Yughragh lifted his mace and smashed it through the zombie, causing its body to explode like a ripe tomato.
The zombie's remains were splattered across the ground, leaving behind a pungent stench.
However, immediately afterwards, hundreds of hands emerged from the ground, and decaying figures continued to rise from the ground.
"There are a lot of corpses hidden far below the ground." The Death King pointed at the ground with an echoing voice. "Many have murdered and hidden under the ground.
"But there were also corpses that just died by the kraken. So, there are nearly a thousand corpses, and I can use them as I wish.
"This is my—Frenzy Fatality."
Boom—Yughragh suddenly stomped the ground, and it sent a shockwave that destroyed every zombie near him. The ground shook violently, causing the zombies to crumble and fall.
"After opening the third gate, my eyes were opened to a new realm of power!" Yughragh laughed loudly. "I have reached the pinnacle!"
"A beast reached the third gate before I did..." The Death King frowned. "How did he do that? I haven't even managed to manifest the third gate door yet."
"The third gate is not what you think it is." Yughragh smirked. "You'll never catch a glimpse of it with your current self. You don't lack ambition and are clearly strong, but the third gate is something much more!"
"Much more..." The Death King frowned.
"Well, I now promised that brat to keep you busy, so I might kill you!" Yughragh laughed and lifted his mace high in the air. "If you survive, you might have the potential to reach the third gate!"
"You might not know me, but I am not easy to kill!" The Death King jumped high into the air, and black wings grew from his back, allowing him to fly like a bird. "I am the lord of death!"
"Death El Fatale!" Yughragh grabbed his mace with both muscular hands, then spun around and swung it in front of his body with fierce power.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe air exploded in front of the mace, and a powerful shockwave shot out from the mace, flying at speeds faster than light and destroying every raindrop that appeared in its path.
The Death King used his black wings and dodged the shockwave attack with nimble movements. Then he descended down like a vulture and swung his scythe towards the green-skinned creature.
Yughragh then stepped to the side and moved down fluidly across the ground, as if the ground below him were made of ice. He dodged the scythe with room to spare and then grabbed one of the black wings with his free hand.
Rip—he ripped the black wing from the Death King's back and dropped it to the ground.
The Death King's eyes shook with pain, but then the last remaining wing returned back to his body, and so did the destroyed wing, which only had bones remaining.
There was still a bleeding wound on his back, as if there was something important missing.
"Agh..." The Death King touched his bleeding back, let out a groan, and then covered his wound with some kind of black smoke.
"Aight..." He whispered and waved his hand as if he were wiping a windshield, and then black smoke rose from the ground, flying all the way to the rainy sky.
The black smoke created pillars, an interior of the temple, and a massive stone statue of the Death King. It looked like a temple had rose in the middle of the barren land out of nowhere!
"What is this..." Yughragh looked at the black temple with a curious glance.
"Ever heard of the Black Smoke of Verhan?" The Death King asked while standing in front of the large statue that resembled him a lot.
"Of course." Yughragh smiled. "Everyone from the Dark Continent knows what it is. It is what surrounds Dark Continent's capital city, Verhan, and is very deadly."
"I happened to catch a sample of it a while back." The Death King said and pointed his finger at Yughragh. "I managed to recreate it. It's not as powerful or deadly as the real one, but it's still a dangerous weapon of mass destruction.
"I heard that in a city called Amaterasu, there was a Black Smoke of Verhan outbreak. Apparently, they came from crows, who were infected with that.
"However, they were also fake, and those were creations of Dark Magician Karma. He happened to be a follower of mine a while back, and he stole my research and recreated it.
"Yet, his was weak, and yet, that still managed to put one of the major cities down to its knees. Mine is not weak."
"Heh." Yughragh narrowed his eyes. "Interesting."
