"…Sold," said the auctioneer, and the last item on the top hundred had been sold and now, only the top ten had remained.
I had brought six things in the top hundred. Some I had got cheaply, while for one, I have to pay a lot, but as I had said before, it didn't matter if I have to pay a lot.
The only thing matter is getting what I want.
"Now, it is time for the top 10, all of which have been waiting for," she said with a smile before her expression turned serious.
"The bidding will be done in celis crystal and only those approved by the management will be able to bid," she added.
A second later, a cart came and removed the cloth, before taking the thing in her hand, which was now floating above her hand.
It is a mirror; it is square with a handle.
"It is a Peak Level 5 runic computational artifact. The best tool for any rune-master among you,"
"Its bidding start from twelve hundred celis crystals and will be increased by ten," she said.
"Twelve hundred-ten,"
For a second there was a silence before finally someone bided.
Seconds passed, but no other big came. I have to give it to the auctioneer; Her expression didn't change in the slightest seeing that.
It is not like the artifact isn't good. It is, but not many people could use it. Most people only have basic knowledge of the runes, not enough to break the formations they come across.
So, it makes the artifact pretty useless to them. They have also prized it a little high, which stopped many people from bidding on it.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtI am sure the person who made a bid might regret it.
As for me, I do not intend to bid. I have many rune-breaking tools, and few are even better than it is.
"Twelve hundred and ten, one. Twelve hundred and ten, two. Twelve hundred and ten, three, sold!" she said, and the people took back the pen and a second later, another cart came in.
My heartbeat quickened seeing it, and my heart nearly jumped out of my chest when she removed the cloth. Revealing a broken bluish pearl encased in the crystalline sphere, which made the look pearl whole.
If one concentrates, one could see the cracks in the pearl.
"This is alom pearl of Sky Sovereign grade. It had been broken, but nearly all of the energies were intact," she informed.
If the pearl hadn't been broken and some of its essential energies didn't seep out of it. It wouldn't have been here; I am glad it happened.
Those things might affect 99% of people wanting to buy this thing, but not me. I could sense the pearl, and could it have everything I need, and I will have it, no matter how much I need to pay.
"The bidding for it will start with the two thousand and five hundred celis crystals and will increase by ten," she said.
"Three thousand," said someone immediately. "Three thousand two hundred," "Three thousand four hundred,"
"Three thousand five hundred,"
The people begin to grow big one after another. I didn't start immediately and waited.
"Four thousand." Finally, the big one reached four thousand, where I wanted it to be.
"Five thousand," I said. Increasing the bid by a thousand.
The silence descended, and I waited for each second for someone to outbid me, but it seemed like nobody want to spend a massive amount of money on the broken pearl.
Even if it is at Sky Sovereign.
"Five Thousand, one. Five Thousand, two and five thousand, three, sold!" said actioner and a big smile appeared on my face.
It is the thing; I had wanted the most since stepping into this ship and now, I have got it. I could now start collecting the resources, but first I have to design the abode.
Currently, I only have a rough idea of what I want, and I have to bring them onto paper.
Only then I could start collecting the things I would need to start bringing them into reality.
Soon, other resources appeared. It is not something I had been interested in, so I didn't bid. The one after that was a hidden one and when it revealed itself, I couldn't help but get disappointed.
It is something I have and have in great quantity.
The only difference between them is that they are at the Earth Sovereign level and I have at the Peak Sovereign, but currently, I do not have the need for the Earth Sovereigns grade.
The other two after that were the same. One was the artifact, and the other was a resource that I do not have a need for.
I had bid for the fifth one, but its price went too high, and stopped. The fourth one was uninteresting.
I had a huge hope for the top three; they were all secret, but when I saw the third and then the second, I felt like cursing, but what made me angry is the first one.
And also surprised.
"This is a fire crystal. It is from wonder, created by the fire-type grand art, hundreds of thousands of years ago," she said as she showed the crystal, which is encased in the safety.
People could still feel its power.
I have several of these and so could I. It surprised me because it released the same energy signatures as the ones I have.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmIt is definitely from that ruin.
The bidding started, and it is wild. Everybody seemed to want that tiny piece.
If they got to know how much of these crystals I have, and the types of I have, they would tear me apart.
"Five hundred and seven thousand, one. Five hundred and seven thousand, two and five hundred and seven thousand, three, sold!" she said.
This time, gravel appeared in her hand and struck the ground, making a loud nose.
"Thank you all for being wonderful customers. It was a great pleasure to be selling these treasures to you," she said.
A moment later, the stage darkened, and she disappeared.
Knock Knock
People started to leave, but I started in my spot and a few seconds later, a knock rang out on my door.
"Come in," I said and an old monkey beastman of Peak-Sovereign stage came inside.
"Did you enjoy the auction, Mr. Mark?" he asked, to which I smiled.
"Have you decided what you want in exchange?" I asked him. "Yes, this is the list," he replied, sending me the long list.
I had given them a long list of resources I have. As we may be big with crystals, we need to buy the bided item with the resources.
It is the rule for the things in the two hundred.
"Here," I said as I checked the list of things and their pricing. It is fair.
"It is nice doing business with you. Mr. Mark," said the old man. "Likewise," I replied.
"My higher-ups had told me we will be able to provide you most of the resources, in that long list of yours," he said, surprising me.
I didn't share with them directly, but I did take survives of their staff. So, technically did.
"I would appreciate it," I replied and slid another list toward the old man. This one is even bigger.
