I stepped out of the formation and appeared in front of the grand mission hall. The building is big and beautiful.
It is the only mission hall. From Primary-I to Sky Sovereign, all receive the missions here. Soon, I entered the central wing's massive lobby and took the left. I walked a few floors before appearing in front of the door at 22A.
Knock Knock!
I knocked on the door and a moment later; it opened on its own and walked inside. In a plainly decorated small meeting room; there are two people sitting behind the table. One is a woman who looked to be in her mid-twenties; she had red gems in her skin, from which one could see inside her, like her bones and blood.
She didn't seem strange, but beautiful; more beautiful than the elvish man beside her.
"Smith, take a seat," he said. "Thank you, Sky Sovereign," I said to the elf man.
There was a silence for a few seconds before the man spoke again.
"It is not a mission we have asked you here for, but training. Only a select few, the organization deemed important, were chosen for this training," he said, and I didn't get a good feeling.
I don't think I am going to like, what they have for me.
"Exactly what it is?" I asked directly, and both of them smiled. "It is administrative training; you will serve under the governor of our border cities," informed the woman, and my expression turned ugly.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Serve in what capacity, exactly?" I asked.
"It depends on the governor, but it is likely to be administrative in nature," He replied, and I wanted to curse, but was able to control myself.
"I have experience with that. I am a crasher and have been a head of an organization in my world. I don't think I need any training in administrative work," I said to them, but all I got smile.
"There is nothing we could do; it came from above. Our job is just to tell you this," replied the woman, and I nearly cursed.
Instead, I sighed.
"I really don't want to do it; I will do anything else. In its place instead," I said, with my voice nearly pleading.
They shook their head at my plea.
"We could do nothing. There is not even an option for us to request; it is a set-in-stone, you will have to do it, whether you want or not," said the woman. "For how long?" I asked finally, accepting it.
"One to four years; it depends on the Governor. If you do well in his eyes, you might be able to leave early. If you do bad, you will have to spend a full four years there,"
"So, we would suggest that you remember all skills and impress the city lord. He is also a crasher and rules the small world, before walking into the gate," informed a woman and I wanted to bang my head on the table.
Instead, I put a smile on my face and listened to the mission details, not mission administrative training.
"Thank you," I said and listened to the mission details.
The moment I stepped out of the room; I connected to my badge and began writing a letter to the only person who, I knew could help me.
Prime Volsnorth.
I wrote everything, like how I am progressing fast and how I don't want to be bogged down on this mission, which will slow down my speed. I wrote everything that I thought might help me, before sending the letter to the prime.
'Hope, I will receive the answer soon,' I thought, with hope.
Hun!
I reached a grand lobby and was about to walk out of the doors. When I nearly stopped. I quickly controlled myself before gently turning to the handsome-looking man, who is so different and similar to the skin he wore.
Rynter.
Unlike me, the spatial wave hadn't affected me; it had simply passed through him without doing anything.
I had asked about him after I came back from the pod and was told he was fine. While we had disappeared, those had remained had finished the mission, without any casualty.
Though it had created some panic, that had created some mess of the things.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThat scaled woman had also hadn't swept by the spatial wave, because she wasn't in the pod. Maybe she had, but had the bad luck of appearing in front of the Sky Sovereign critter, or worse, the queen.
However, the chances of that are the time are quite low.
I have her energy signature. If she is alive and ever comes across her, she will not be able to leave this time. She was the most important member of the organization. She had come from the cult that had controlled it all. If we had caught her, it would have helped her tremendously in getting information about that cult.
I got out of the building and stepped into the teleportation formation, but I didn't go back to the home.
No, instead I went to the shopping center. It is huge, covering miles of distance. I don't have to buy anything in particular, but my clones are omnipotent and sometimes, they would see the things I would need.
So, I am going to browse the stores and pick everything I and my clone want. I don't usually do this since I have better things to do with my time, but since I am leaving for a year or more; I want to get everything I can.
They clearly told me, I was going to the border city, and it is hard to find things there, and while I will be able to get things through the organization. It won't be instant, like now.
Depending on my luck, it would take days or even weeks.
Hun!
An hour and a half passed, and I was browsing through the huge shelves when I got the mail and it was from Prime Volsnorth.
I didn't think he would reply quickly.
I quickly opened the message and began to read it. When I finished, I sighed. "Looks like I really have to go," I said. Though, I am not as sad as I had been a few seconds ago. If I read it right, then things wouldn't be as boring as I thought they would be.
