Meanwhile, within Kevin's room, he was currently seated on his bed with his back against the wall and his hands around Dahlia while she rested her back against him soaking in the warmth from his embrace.
"You dyed your hair?" Kevin asked, placing his chin on her shoulder.
"Yes, I wanted it to be like yours. Do you not like it?" She asked worriedly, pulling a few strands forward to look at it again.
"I like it," Kevin replied and Dahlia felt his arm tighten around her while a smile bloomed on her face in pleasure at his words.
Although he noticed the change in her hair colour when he woke up, he had been distracted by Drake's sudden entry into his room.
But now that things had calmed down a bit, he could now focus on the minor details that he had overlooked.
Also, he liked her new hair colour which was dyed brown better than the previous black colour. This new hue made her hair look lush and complimented her beautiful black eyes.
"I'm really going to miss you," Dahlia stated sadly.
"I won't be gone for more than a couple of weeks, besides I can't leave Victoria all alone to spy on the enemy without protection."
Kevin recalled Dahlia saying something about Brian Stark being one of the infamous mobsters in Amber City.
If Victoria continued snooping around, it was only a matter of time before the enemy took notice.
Dahlia understood what Kevin was trying to say. He had to find his mother and he needed answers as quickly as possible. But if she really knew more than she did, she would have loved to tell him everything without even thinking once.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtSuch was the trust and affection she had for Kevin now.
'Wait a minute,' Dahlia thought, looking like she was trying to recall something.
'I've only answered two out of his three questions. Which means I can still try to be of help to him before he leaves,' Dahlia beamed internally and was genuinely pleased that she would be of use to Kevin.
"Did you know she has a sister?"
"Hmm?" Kevin said, not understanding her train of thought.
"Vanessa. Did you know she has a sister?"
"Really?"
"Yes. Sasha Snow is Vanessa's sister. Vanessa rarely talks about her, but I'm certain she cares about her little sister a lot."
Kevin said nothing, listening attentively.
"She used Sasha's picture as her wallpaper as well."
"Do you know where I can find her?"
"I don't know her address but I'm certain she lives in Amber City. I'm sorry I can't be of more help to you." Dahlia said, feeling depressed.
Kevin cuddled her a bit closer and thanked her. "You've done enough. Thank you for telling me this."
Dahlia smiled at him while covertly making her own resolve to do whatever it took to find out more about Sasha.
"But what about Drake?" Kevin asked if Dahlia knew anything about Drake that could help him to get his revenge against him in the future, but Dahlia didn't.
Ever since Drake became close to Vanessa, it felt like he had become someone else entirely and Dahlia could barely recognize him.
Kevin wasn't really worried about the final question. He had something planned out already and could simply use that as a means to get back at Drake, but now that he knew that there was someone who Vanessa cared about a lot, he could use her against Vanessa in the future.
His lips morphed into a smile when he saw that he still had two quests that were yet to be completed. With two days left, he had more than enough time to complete both of them.
But until then, he would think about what his next course of action was after eating breakfast.
"So, what's for breakfast today?" Kevin asked, raining kisses up Dahlia's neck to her earlobe.
Dahlia giggled from his lips tickling her sensitive skin.
"Fufu... I'll whip up something delicious for you to eat, but wait.....hehe," she said but Kevin didn't stop.
"I'm serious, there's something I have to tell you," She said, trying to suppress her giggles and moans.
"What is it?" Kevin's playful demeanour turned serious instantly.
"It's about Drake. I think he's an Awakened just like you."
Kevin's forehead creased. "What makes you think he's an Awakened?"
"That's because he's recently been doing things that shouldn't be possible for any human."
"Also, a few days ago when I was talking to him in the kitchen, I noticed that his eyes turned crimson when he became mad."
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmDahlia continued. " I know that you are also an Awakened but I just thought you should be careful around Drake. He tends to be short-tempered and can be out of control sometimes."
"Thanks for the warning," Kevin smiled, planting a kiss on her cheek before getting off the bed.
He found it ludicrous to be called an Awakened by Dahlia, but he understood why she would come to this conclusion.
Also, it was better this way, because he couldn't just say 'I'm not an Awakened, but I've got a system in me that grants me powers whenever I sleep with women.'
Dahlia would certainly think he had gone bonkers or something.
"What are you looking for?" Dahlia asked noticing how Kevin began rummaging through his bag.
"I need you to do something for me."
"What do you need?" Dahlia hurriedly got off the bed but then she recalled Kevin saying something about needing her help concerning Drake.
Kevin leaned towards her ear, whispering a few words.
Dahlia nodded in understanding and couldn't contain the excitement swelling within her as her smile slowly turned into an ominous grin.
"Do you think you can do it?"
"Absolutely, I promise, I won't let you down," She assured Kevin who merely smiled in response.
Now, all that was left was to complete the last Quest within two days.
Ding! Ding!
Kevin received a message on his phone and he quickly grabbed it from his desk. He typed in his password and scrolled through his phone to find something which made his eyes bulge out of their sockets.
It was a text message from Victoria.
