Chapter 24 If that was the case, then Edith's job would be much easier.
She was disappointed to miss such a good opportunity to have Willow fired, but oh well. She quickly fixed her demeanor, and spoke to the police officer.

"Mom, the kids cover to my workplace. Are you with them?" What worried Willow the most was the children running off by themselves.
"Don't worry, I found them. These brats finally cback to my side. I let them out for a bit, but who would've thought they'd run off so quickly? Lord, what have I done to deserve such punishment?" cried Lara in a frustrated tone. Lara's voice was so sharp, Willow had to hold her phone away from her ears to avoid going deaf. Although Lara complained a lot, at least Willow knew that the kids were finally by Lara's side. She could finally sigh in relief.
"Thanks for helping out, Mom. We all love you very much. Take good care of the kids. I'll bring hsomething delicious tonight," Willow said, in an effort to appease her mother.
Her call was interrupted when the door suddenly swung open. Noisy footsteps filled the room as many people poured in.
Willow turned around, and immediately caught sight of Edith and two police officers standing at the door. She hastily whispered into the phone, "Something cup on my side. I'm gonna hang up now." After she said that, she ended the call and slipped her phone into her pocket.

Sure enough, those boys were hers! And she was certain that one of them was Jasper's son! Edith almost turned green with jealousy. Still, given she was at her workplace, she had to maintain sdegree of professionalism.
"Lara Smith, you have sexplaining to do to the police." Even though Edith restrained herself when she spoke to Willow, her tone was harsh. It was evident she had something against Willow.
Willow nodded. She walked up to the officer and explained, "Please hold on, sir. I haven't found Mr. Ward yet. Letask for his number. I'll give him a call." "Sure, go ahead." Willow was about to head over to the HR Department when she realized that Edith, being Jasper's secretary, must have his number.
It looked like this trip could be saved. And so, she asked Edith politely, "Ms. Price, can you please giveMr. Ward's number? I'd like to give him a call."
