Chapter 167
Then, to the shock of everyone watching, the tensed Kolten hurried over to Liam, bowed deeply, and said with the utmost respect, "Mr. Cole! My apologies for being late and making you witness this mess! I promise you, I'll sort this out to your satisfaction!"
Liam was not interested in making a scene. He would not have even bothered talking to someone as insignificant as Yale if he had not insulted Calum by calling him a stooge.
"Mhm."

Once Liam had stepped into the elevator, Kolten spun around. His eyes burned with fury as he fixed his gaze on Yale, who was still in shock. With a swift motion, Kolten slapped him again and bellowed, "Get lost! You're fired! And don't even think about finding a job in Drunham City or anywhere in Willoughby ever again!"
After his outburst, Kolten swept his steely gaze over the crowd of gawkers. His voice was icy as he warned, "Keep today's events to yourselves. If I hear even a whisper of this, you'll be out of a job so fast, and you'll be blacklisted just like Yale. No one in Drunham City or Willoughby will touch you!"
With that, he shot a menacing look at the onlookers and at Yale, who was desperately pleading. With his assistant in tow, Kolten gave a curt nod to the team captain and rushed to catch the next elevator up.
As soon as Kolten was gone, the captain headed out to his post. The moment he was out of sight, the place erupted with chatter.
"Whoa, who is that guy? Even Mr. Reath had to suck up to him!"
"Shoot, I just called him a nobody! He didn't hear that, did he? If he's someone even Mr. Reath won't cross, he's got to be someone important."
"He's got to be someone really big..."

"Hold it! Security, kick this guy out!"
The receptionist pointed to Yale sprawled on the floor, her smile as fake as her concern. "You don't belong here anymore. Why are you still hanging around?" she said with a sneer.
Yale's face turned red with fury as he stood up, ready to lash out at her. "The nerve! Who do you think you are, trying to kickout? Do you want to lose your job?" he shouted.
The security captain, who had been summoned, hesitated to intervene, simply watching the scene unfold.
However, as Yale ranted, the receptionist's laughter rang out, dripping with scorn. "Oh, still living in the past, are we? Do you still think you're still the Marketing Manager? Remember, the chairman just announced you're fired! No one in Drunham City, let alone Willoughby, will touch you with a ten- foot pole now!"
She then turned her glare to the idle security captain and barked, "Why are you still standing there? Did you forget Mr. Reath's orders? If the chairman sees him here, there'll be hell to pay!"
That was all it took. The security captain gestured broadly, and his team swiftly escorted Yale out the door, tossing him onto the street before heading back to their posts.
