Thomas took a deep breath and said, "Mrs. Wickam, it's Elisa on the phone." Thomas had been upfront with Julia about his plans since he met her at Wickam Manor.
When she realized that Elisa was the one calling, her eyes narrowed into slits, and she glared at him.

Julia glared at him with a scowl. "Why haven't you answered the phone yet? Do you need her to call you again?" Thomas shook his head. "No. Of course not." He immediately accepted the call.
Elisa was about to give up when she heard Thomas' voice on the other end of the line.

If Elisa was going to be here in person, we wouldn't be able to keep the truth from her any longer.
Wouldn't it be worse if she found out the truth on her own? Julia's eyes grew cold with indignation. "Why are you so dense? If you tell her that you were lying all the while, wouldn't you be implicating Gareth? She'll think that Gareth made you do it." Her eyes burned with fury as she glared at Gareth.
Thomas was afraid to speak up, seeing how her temper sparked with flames.
Meanwhile, Will had Elisa at the Manor Residence within forty minutes.
