Elisa remained silent, not daring to say anything since she was unsure at that moment.
Gareth shot a glance at her before retracting his gaze.
Silence resumed in the big room as though it was empty. They couldn't even hear each other's breathing; they
merely sat silently without moving.
As time passed, Thomas finally arrived with many samples.
Gareth went to meet him. Since he didn't change into scrubs, he wasn't allowed to enter the lab.
Even now, he had no idea what was happening; he was following Gareth's instructions.
After everything was settled, Gareth said, "Ask a few people to stand by at the hospital. They might need to send
some stuff over. And you can just stay here to keep in touch with them. That's all for now."
