With his eyes on the video monitor and his hands holding Chen Meili's, Han Tao's body trembled in excitement. He couldn't believe it. This woman had first given him two healthy twins and now triplets! She was truly the hope of the Han family. The shining light in their bleak world of impending extinction.

He looked over to her, "Meili..."

Chen Meili looked away from the video monitor then too. She also couldn't believe it. She had expected a child that could possibly be a boy or a girl and not three boys! There was no way the twins at home could beat that... Right?

She smiled at Han Tao with flushed cheeks. "Brother Tao~"

A wide grin appeared on Han Tao's face and he didn't hold himself back from reaching forward and smashing their lips together in a floor sweeping kiss.

'...'

Surprise covered the faces of everyone but a second later, the Han Madam, Min Yanyu, Han Rong, Han Yi and Han Jiao were smiling helplessly whilst Gu Longwei's smile froze on his face.

Next to her husband, Fu Lan had no idea whether to feel warm or conflicted. Afterall, Han Tao was, at present, still married.

The husband in question, Han Yuanjun, let out a drawn out sigh and took out his phone to send his assistant a message.

[[Contact the lawyers to draft a divorce agreement and have it sent to the Han mansion by the end of today.]]

Where she was seated, Han Wen's eyes almost popped out of their sockets. What... What was going on? She was already bewildered by the fact that Chen Meili was pregnant and yet everyone was so calm about it. Now this??

She began coughing and when everyone turned to her she smiled stiffly. "Han Tao, you and Xu Lifen are... no longer together?"

Didn't her mom send her a message whilst she was in college abroad that Han Tao and Xu Lifen had gotten two babies through surrogacy? It wasn't even up to six months yet so why was Han Tao kissing Chen Meili?

Chen Meili's face turned stiff and Han Tao stroked her head before turning to the third triplet. "We're getting divorced."

Han Wen blinked in confusion. "Oh. It's like that." She fiddled with her book. "Why? What hap-"

"A'Wen that's enough." Han Rong gently cut in. "This is a happy moment, do not ruin it."

Han Wen swallowed her words and the hospital ward went back to being filled with hapoy laughter, appreciative words and conflicted expressions.

They all spent a few more hours in the hospital because Han Tao wanted to make sure Chen Meili was completely okay before they returned home.

In the Han mansion, He Yuan sat in the living room with a bunch of papers in his hands. Next to him was the stroller and in the stroller were Xu Xiaoli and Xu Cai, fast asleep. He looked through the papers one more time before placing them in a large brown envelope.

From the moment he bought the house last week, he'd been transporting Xu Lifen's and the twins' luggages little by little and now all that was left was a single bag that he'd placed on the lower part of the stroller.

After the divorce papers were signed, he was ready to directly leave the Han mansion with the twins and take a flight to City Y.

He'd also contacted the doctor to have the twins' medical records sent over to the general hospital in City Y. As for feeding the babies, he planned to switch to baby formula. The cost of a wet nurse was considerably higher in City Y and after buying the duplex and reinvesting in various ventures, funds were a little tight.

Anyways he'd watched the servants and the wet nurse bathe, change and take care of the babies. He personally knew how to feed them so he planned to handle the babies himself until he left this realm and the leaser transferred back.

How hard could it be?

888 was aware of his host's plans for the babies and he was a little doubtful. He eyed the cot and cleared his throat. [Are you sure about doing this on your own?]

He Yuan shrugged. "Of course." He smiled. "I took care of Xiwang remember? I also helped out in the street shelter I lived in as a child and I've been paying close attention to the servants and wet nurse whenever they handled the twins. I've got this."

888 adjusted his glasses. He hadn't been present in He Yuan's Origin realm but he had been present in Xiwang's and he'd also seen how things have been going in this realm.

Both times, all his host had done was either watch or feed the babies whilst the servants and wet nurse handled everything else. He opened his mouth to speak but then decided against it.

He Yuan was surprisingly efficient. Maybe he really could do it....

At that moment, the front door opened and the Chen Meili walked in, assisted by Han Tao whilst the rest came in after the two of them.

They all went straight to the living room but paused when they found Xu Lifen calmly steated on the sofa with a straight posture.

Turning around and leaving would look odd. Besides, they saw no reason to avoid one Xu Lifen in their own home so they continued on like nothing happened.

He Yuan watched as Han Rong and Min Yanyu assisted the Han Madam to a single sofa before getting seated themselves. Gu Longwei seated himself next to Han Yi and Han Jiao, Fu Lan sat next to Min Yanyu, Han Yuanjun stood next to a wall with a constipated expression.

At the entrance to the living room, Han Wen remained standing as she looked from He Yuan to everyone else in confusion.

Lastly, Han Tao carefully took Chen Meili to a single sofa and made sure she was seated before turning to He Yuan with his back straight and his arms folded across his chest.

He Yuan looked from one person to another before raising a brow at Han Tao. "You got Chen Meili pregnant." A simple, straightforward, statement.

The other people in the room stirred but Han Tao's expression turned cold as he replied with, "That's why you tried to harm her?"

He Yuan chuckled. It was a good thing he was leaving the Han home today. Han Tao would get what he was asking for -and more- in due time.

He slowly stood up. "It appears there's nothing left for me here anymore. I could take this to court but I honestly don't have the energy." He threw the document at Han Tao. "I prepared the divorce papers myself."

Everyone exchanged looks but they were all expecting this. In fact, they felt it was a good idea that Xu Lifen had saved them the effort.

On the other hand, Han Tao caught the file in mild surprise. He had actually been expecting Xu Lifen to take him to court and make a huge fuss. This had bothered him a little because he didn't want Chen Meili's reputation to suffer.

Meili was neither a mistress nor a homewrecker. His failed marriage had nothing to do with her. Rather, Xu Lifen had just been intolerable. Besides, after that night when Xu Lifen had suddenly come back home with shopping bags and lied to him about going all the way to City Y to shop for the twins, he could never trust her again.

Everyone watched curiously as Han Tao opened the envelope and began going through the papers. All was fine and good until he got to a particular quote. His bows pinched and he decided to go over the papers again to make sure he wasn't misunderstanding things.

SLAM!

The document landed right at He Yuan's feet and Han Tao pinned him with a fierce glare. "Xu Lifen, what is the meaning of this?! Not only do you want full custody, you also want me to give up my right to the twins?!"

The Han Madam's head snapped to He Yuan and she leaned back as if she'd been blown by a strong wind. "Wh- what do you mean by that?!"

Han Yuanjun was also surprised. He admitted that Xu Lifen had been wronged but what she was asking for... That was too much. The twins had Han blood flowing in their veins. Did she not fear that the boys would grow up and disdain her for taking them away from their family?!

He Yuan watched all of their extreme reactions and laughed humourlessly before eyeing Han Tao from head to toe and pointing at the sleeping babies in the stroller.

"Han Tao look, if you can differentiate one twin from the other then I promise you, I would leave this mansion by myself and never return."

Everyone raised a blinked in surprise whilst Han Tao's eyes went to the babies in the stroller. He froze. He'd hung out with the twins a few times but.... He looked from the identical faces to the same hair and same clothes. Even their breathing was in sync as they slept.

The only difference was the fact that one baby was a little chubbier than the other but then, how was he supposed to tell who it was? He could say the chubby baby was the first born but what if he was not?

"Ahem!"

Chen Meili cleared her throat at that moment and laughed dryly. "Ah, brother Tao had been gone for several months and the twins had grown up a lot since then."

"Yes, yes," Han Rong joined in. "There are no longer weeks old so it's understandable if Han Tao cannot differentiate them after returning."

Min Yanyu glared at He Yuan. "Using such a vile method, what are you planning?"

He Yuan lowered his head and laughed again. "Fine." He raised a brow at Han Tao and asked instead, "Which one of the twins has a mole and where is it?"
