Chapter 280
Everyone from the Sanchez Group, who had been full of hope, felt a bit downhearted now. Morgan looked at
them and said. "Don't lose heart, it's just a designer. There are plenty of renowned designers internationally, and
| doubt the White family can recruit them all. In the prison, Grady was led out as someone requested to meet
him. "Grady, someone wants to see you." He had been in the prison for a long time, even longer than Finnian
had cto visit. There was always someone lingering in his thoughts, but could it be her? He stared absently
at the glass, gazing at the blurry reflection. He hadn't shaved for a long tand looked somewhat disheveled.
But life in prison meant going to bed early and exercising every day, which made him look a bit healthier.
Especially since the Lutz family had sent gifts for the warden, he received special treatment. Grady walked
nervously to the visiting room, took a deep breath as the officer opened the door, and his eyes turned cold as
soon as he saw the person inside. It wasn't her.
"Grady, you seem a bit disappointed. Who were you expecting?" Yasmine laughed as she perched on the table in
the visiting
room.
Grady shook his head, his eyes turning suspicious and cold. "So it's you? You actually thought of coming to see
me? Did yo forget what happened in the villa district? Yasmine, | don't know why you're here, but what would be
worth your while in place like this?" Yasmine didn't speak for a while and instead studied Grady closely, making
him squirm under her gaze. "Ms. Sanchez, is there something you need?"
Yasmine shook her head. "Grady, I've been thinking how tcan really change a person. Back in high school,
you were still that chubby kid, but now you've completely transformed."
Grady squinted his eyes slightly. "Have you been checking up on me?"

"That isn't really investigating, Grady. Sthings are just too easy to find out, like how your class photo is still
up on the school's website." Yasmine smiled lightly. "Of course, what Im curious about is whether you liked Irene
back in high school Grady?" Grady's eyes suddenly lit up but quickly dimmed again. "What's it to you, Yasmine?
What is it you're really trying to say?"
Yasmine placed a photo on the table in front of Grady and said coldly, "You said you liked Yvette, and you hurt
much? On the other hand, the way you look at Irene is quite telling."
A glint of darkness flashed in Grady's eyes. "What are you trying to say?"
"You like Irene, don't you, Grady? The year after she went abroad, you followed her. So tell me, why did you
suddenly transfer overseas in your sophomore year at Steinreich?" Yasmine questioned.
Grady's face turned pale as he said coldly, "I think this has nothing to do with you, right? I've already gone to jail
and paid my dues. Since | said | helped Yvette because I like her, what does this have to do with Irene?" His tone
took on a peculiar note when he said the last sentence.
Yasmine glanced at him, noticing his hand tapping impatiently on the table. He was anxious, restless-even more
so when Irene was mentioned. This could only mean he had special feelings for Irene.
"What's your relationship? Classmates?" She stood up slowly, making closer to Grady while speaking, "Friends?"
She gently placed a hand on Grady's shoulder and said softly, "Or do you like her? A secret crush perhaps?"
Grady's breath hitched suddenly, his breathing more rapid, and even his chest heaved a bit more.
Yasmine laughed, "Mr. Grady, even if you don't answer, your reaction has already toldeverything | need to

say to you that made you so willing to help her? Do you think that after all this, she'll be with you?" Yasmine
Grady was finally losing his patience. He slapped the table. "What are you here for exactly? I'm telling you, |
won't answer any of your questions. The case is closed, and those who hurt you have been brought to justice. |
don't understand why you suddenly want to seeagain."
Yasmine didn't answer his question. Instead, she softly said, "Irene is about to get engaged to the Russell
residence. Did you know about this?"
Grady felt a sudden jolt of disbelief as his eyes fixed on Yasmine What did you say? Isn't it you that Yonas likes?"
"Mr. Grady, though I'm not sure what Irene exactly told you, from your reaction, it seems like she hasn't been
truthful with you," Yasmine remarked.
Grady's expression changed. "And why should | believe what you say?"
Yasmine placed her phone in front of him. "If you don't believe me, you can search for it yourself. The news and
med already reported it. Do you still doubt it? Besides, Nathan never liked me; he wouldn't agree."

Grady's face turned pale as he picked up Yasmine's phone and started searching. Just a quick search on Yonas's
nbrought up dozens of rumors and news about him and Irene. "No way."
"Mr. Grady, have you ever wondered why she would want you to harmand what she might be aiming for?"
Yasmine asked.
Even though Grady couldn't fully wrap his head around everything, he still didn't trust Yasmine. "There's no way
I'll believe, you until things are settled. Besides, I've told you before, | only did all of this for Yvette. It has nothing
to do with Irene." Yasmine sneered, "Mr. Grady, even if you won't think for yourself, shouldn't you at least
consider your father and everyone involved with the Grady family?"
"What do you mean?" Grady frowned slightly.
Yasmine looked at him expressionlessly. "Since the incident at the villa, the Russell family and my cousin Morgan
have started to sanction the Grady family. What's puzaling is that Summit Prosperity Group, which had already
agreed to sign a contract with you, suddenly turned to cooperate with the White Group. Didn't you know about
this?" Grady stared directly at Yasmine, "Our family has already pointed to Yvette. What more do you want? You
had promised that once we did, you'd stop targeting the Grady family."
"Grady, when things first happened, there were a few days before you went to testify, and a lot can happen in
those days. Even if you had promptly let go, the wrecked Lutz Corporation wouldn't have simply returned to its
former state. Besides, there's still a malignant growth attached to the back of Lutz Corporation. Instead of
questioning me, you should think about why Summit Prosperity Group suddenly changed its mind. Your father
hasn't visited you in nearly a month, hasn't he? You probably don't know that Mr. Lutz was hospitalized and is still
in the hospital now." Yasmine said,
