Chapter 220 They Will Not Last Long

It was 5:30 in the afternoon.

The laboratory building of Olympiad Math Class.

After Jacob finished explaining the last problem, he closed the textbook and asked, “I’ve covered

everything for today. Does anyone have any questions?”

Then, he continued, “Since there are none, you guys should head home early today. Review and

remember what needs to be consolidated. Get to bed early so it won’t affect your performance

tomorrow. I’ll stress this one last time-don’t be late, and don’t forget to bring your exam admit card.”

After sorting out everything else, Jacob grabbed his book and dashed off.

The others were busy packing their bags when Jason came over and patted Eileen on the shoulder.

“Segunda, we got out early today. Want to hang out?”

“I’m not going. I have something to do later.”

Jason responded, “Enough already. I’ve heard this excuse from you hundreds of times. Is your family

too strict?”

Eileen flashed a faint smile without uttering a word.

Benjamin gave Jason a look as if the latter had just thought of something. He covered his mouth,

chiding himself for his forgetfulness. How could he have forgotten?

After they left, Vera approached her, her face filled with concern and a touch of worry. “Eileen, are you

okay?”

“I’m fine,” Eileen said, packing up her bag, her face devoid of much emotion.

Now, Jasper had taken a girl from Primas Plaza, and no one knew who she was. However… everyone

knew that Jasper might have another woman out there.

Many people believed that Eileen was likely to be abandoned.

When she was left alone in the classroom, there was an indescribable discomfort, a feeling that

Eileen propped her forehead with her hand, her fingers threading through her dark, slightly curled hair.

Her head ached a bit. Today, she had endured too many unusual stares.

The cacophony around her was making it hard for her to breathe.

A group of girls walked past the corridor, noticing the person in the classroom. Eileen’s thoughts were

would come over to practice. She got up, grabbed her backpack, and prepared to leave.

Calliope, wearing her hair high up in a ponytail and a long black cotton coat, blocked Eileen’s path.

“Eileen, tell me, where has Elm gone to?”

“I don’t know about his affairs,” said Eileen as she walked away from her side.

Calliope gave her a nudge on the shoulder. “How could you possibly not know? Ever since the day he

“You’re his girlfriend. Why are you asking me where he is? If you really want to know, you can call him.

Eileen spoke with a heavy tone. Those who originally blocked her path, in reality, didn’t dare to do

Calliope stomped her foot in frustration. “Why didn’t you stop her?”

“Calliope, she is Jasper’s girlfriend. We wouldn’t dare.”

“Exactly! If she complains to Mr. Smith, my parents will be in trouble.”

Eileen left school, and the private car picking her up had no idea she would be dismissed early today.

Then, she went through the call history on her old phone, saving each number one by one.

Eileen was looking down when she suddenly bumped into someone. Seeing the woman she had

knocked to the ground, she quickly apologized, “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to…” As she looked

Eileen quickly helped her up. “I’m fine… Eileen?”

Ruth’s voice was still as gentle as ever.

Eileen was also quite surprised. “Mrs. Smith, what brings you here?”
