"Mama!?" Angelica saw her mother's serious expression and knew whatever was happening was no joke. She quickly pulled some clothes out of her space and put them on before using magic to dry herself off before tearing a hole in space and disappearing.
Kana bit her finger as she thought about the portal. She looked at Xue, who was standing there and said: "Xue, call a meeting. Have all the officials appear in the throne room in an hour."
"Yes, Your Highness!" Xue quickly ran off.
An hour later, not only were the officials all lined up in the throne room, but many kings were as well. They all looked at Kana with a bit of worry in their gazes because they did not know if this powerful woman was about to make them all submit to her or not. Kana, on the other hand, could not care about her worries as she said: "I want to ask if any kingdoms have heard about any portals in their lands with skeletons coming out of them."
"Now that you mention it, we had a report yesterday and have had a few forces dealing with them, but they seem endless." Said one king.

Only these two kings replied, causing Kana to nod her head. "If I am not wrong, then more and more of these portals will soon open up, and there is a chance that more powerful skeletons will come out of them. I just sealed off the portal that formed in my land. As of now, I want to form an alliance with all of you that will be set up so that if one is attacked, we will all send people over to help fight against the invaders. Anyone object to this?"
"Empress Kana, my Dong Kingdom will follow your will!" The Dong Kingdom king replied almost instantly.
"So will mine."
"Mine as well!"
All the kings of the five surrounding lands all agreed to Kana's proposal. If such a thing was about to bear down on their lands, as long as the Empress was not asking for their lands to be handed over, they had no issues forming relations between them. This worked out well for all of them. "Mm… I am glad you all agreed but let me warn you unless your land has been invaded and you can not free up troops. I do not want any excuse as to why you did not help your neighbors. We are now one unit and will act like it. Or else I will make your kingdom mine, then you will have no excuses anymore."
Everyone present trembled under Kana's cold gaze. She was doing things like this to make sure no one would leave anyone on the lurch. Everyone had to work together no matter what. "Empress Kana, may I know when this will go into effect?"
"As of now," Kana replied. "Those under attack should give me the location, so I can go close the current portals. Everyone else should send people out and check their lands. Check every nook and cranny for any signs of skeletons. And trust me when I say there will be more than just a few. We are talking in the thousands."
Kana then looked out over her officials. "This means you need to get our military and police forces to move out. There should be no hesitation! Protect the people of our Devan Empire. This is your job as officials."
"Yes, Your Highness!" All the officials quickly ran out of the room without a single question. One order and movement. This amazed the other kings who were always fighting over politics. They could never get things handled so easily. In truth, even the ones who thought women should stay in the back court and carry babies for men were impressed by this. Even a little jealous, really.
"Okay, I will send back those who do not need help at this time. Take this." Kana waved her hand, and five orbs flew through the air. "Use your spiritual qi and send me a signal when you need me. I will do what I can to help."
"Thank you, Empress Kana." The kings all lowered their heads. They all now had a newfound respect for the Empress. Kana nodded and opened up three portals sending back three of the kings. "You two…" Kana thought for a moment before seeing what Rain was doing. She then reached through space, grabbed her daughter's arm, and pulled her into the room.

"I need you to go with Angelica to this king's kingdom and help suppress and destroy the portal there. Afterward, return here, and we will have a family meeting." Kana said. Before grabbing the other king's arm and pulling him through a space tear. Rain did not waste time before making another tear in space, letting Angelica jump through first before pulling the last king through.
"Rain, why do you think she wanted me to go with you?" Angelica was confused. If it was just closing a tear in space, Rain was enough.
"Mama didn't say it, but I am sure she wants you to see if these things have some kind of soul attached to them. She probably didn't even think of it when she destroyed the one in our empire." Rain answered.
"Ah! Right. I didn't think of that either, as they are skeletons, they might be controlled by someone or be an actual race. I see.." Angelica suddenly made a realization before nodding her head and turning to the king. "Old man, which way?"
"Huh? North!" The king replied and pointed in a direction. Angelica nodded and flew north with Rain dragging the king with her as she followed after her sister.
"What do you mean one of the portals was sealed off?" The skeleton on the throne made of bones asked.
"Your Highness, we do not know what happened. The portal we formed just disappeared. Currently, out of the one hundred, we did open, one was forcefully closed from that side."
