Jade gasped while Arthur parted his lips, staring at his aunt in disbelief.
Despite being a magus who couldn't possibly mishear, he still rubbed his ears, worried that something was wrong.
Of course, that was impossible especially when he saw Isabel's gaze on him.
That woman really meant what she said.
"Aunt, what nonsense are you saying?" he asked.
"Don't think I don't know how young people live," Isabel replied, patting Arthur's thigh.
"It's a common thing that cousins sometimes have desires for each other."
Of course, even if you have desires, it doesn't mean you have to do it because in this world there is something called morality.
Seeing Arthur's silence, Isabel laughed softly.
"I'm an open-minded woman, this is fine with me as long as you two are happy," she continued.
"Uhmmm..." Arthur cleared his throat, somewhat embarrassed when he heard that.
He wanted to say something but in the end only his mouth opened. No words came out of it.
"What about you, are you also interested in Carla?" Isabel suddenly asked, looking at Arthur with a playful smile.
The latter rolled his eyes then looked the other way, he chose not to answer.
When the car arrived at the crossroads, they met two black vans.
The two cars then followed their car.
Isabel looked at each car. After vaguely seeing that inside them were the mercenaries including Rose, she leaned against the window.
"I want to sleep first, wake me up when we arrive," she said before closing her eyes.
In fact, it was going to be a long journey. She would probably wake up on her own even before they arrived near the forest.
From Vera to there by car, even if they took the highway and drove at high speed, it would still take more than 5 hours.
Arthur then looked at Jade, whose eyes were still bright.
Of course, as an Evolver, she can go without sleep for long periods of time.
However, she might be exhausted later considering that today she worked all day and yesterday night fought until she lost.
Arthur picked up a bottle of water, sending pure spiritual energy into it before handing it to Jade.
"Drink that when you feel tired," he said.
Jade was surprised that he gave her water.

Their destination was Utah City, this was a city that wasn't big but wasn't small either, still considered a city led by a mayor.
The city is famous for its agricultural industry.
Various agricultural products are processed here and shipped all over Europe.
Therefore, there are many factories here, some so large that the coffee factory Amanda bought seems small.
Compared to other cities in Europe, the city here can be fairly relaxed.
Even at 12 AM, there are still many people wandering the streets. They are not working people, but just people relaxing.
Isabel hadn't woken up from her sleep when they arrived in the city, apparently she was very tired.
Arthur finally woke her up by patting her thigh.
Immediately afterwards, her eyes opened, staring at Arthur before looking around.
"So we've arrived," she said in a low voice.
"Are we going to the hotel, aunt?" asked Arthur.
Isabel responded with a shake of her head.
"Let's go to the forest now so we can ambush him tomorrow night," she replied.
Perhaps Isabel was worried that the deputy chief of staff's guard would be so tight that it would make it difficult for them to enter the forest.
If there were some watching from afar using binoculars, their movements might be discovered.
Arthur nodded and said, "but I think we need to buy some camp first."
Although they were magus and knights, staying in the forest with only clothes on was still something uncomfortable even if they could move around easily.
They still needed a comfortable place to rest.
Isabel agreed with Arthur's suggestion and signaled Jade to find a shop that sold tents.
That they luckily found not long after.
When the car stopped, Isabel handed Jade some money.
The latter quickly got off and returned about 10 minutes later.
She was carrying five camps made of waterproof fabric.
Of course, she didn't put them in Isabel's car which was small. She handed the camps to Rose who was following behind.
After that, they continued their journey to the southern end of the city where the Spring Forest was located.
Compared to the forests around Vera, it looked much bigger even from inside the city.
The trees on the outskirts of the forest alone were taller than the average building in the city.
Isabel ordered Jade to park the car in the courtyard of an old house that seemed to be empty.
"Aunt, whose house is this?" Arthur couldn't help but ask because even if the house was empty, it was still not suitable for them to park there.
Isabel smiled and replied, "don't ask too many questions, let's go!"
After saying that, she opened the door and got out of the car directly.
Her actions made Arthur curious as he felt like she was hiding something.
Getting off the car, he stared at the house with narrowed eyes.
Unfortunately, Isabel didn't seem to want him to look at the house any longer.
She patted his hand and tried to pull him away.
With no other choice, he finally followed her.
Rose and the others soon approached them.
This time, Rose brought 5 people, one of whom was Ryan who carried a long sniper.
The man seemed excited this time, even continuing to rub his sniper.
"Boss, Mrs. Isabel..." Rose greeted Arthur and Isabel, she also glanced at Jade but didn't say anything to her.
"By the way, did you detect the presence of military members in this city?" Then Isabel asked.
Rose nodded and replied, "There are some soldiers from a special force who are supposed to be staying in the capital. They aren't many and aren't doing anything, just waiting."
"I see..." Isabel became calmer.
They then crossed the next road into the forest.
After arriving in the forest, Isabel took out her cell phone and opened a folder.
This was a protected forest, there were basically no roads, so there shouldn't be anything on the map.
However, the map on Isabel's cell phone had a route that had a sign of a building at the end.
"This is the route Grayson made and that building is where he developed his powers," Isabel said, showing Arthur her phone screen.
Grayson himself was the Deputy Chief of Staff.
As Arthur stared at his phone, Isabel continued, "we're not going to that building, just here and camp not far from that point."
She pointed at the center of the Route. "Later, when Grayson passes by, we'll ambush him here."
Her eyes also looked at Rose and the others, who were staring at the map from behind.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmSince this was Isabel's plan, so she took the lead.
The others nodded after hearing her explanation.
"Let's go!" She then waved her hand, jumping onto a tree branch, followed by Rose and then the mercenaries.
Jade, on the other hand, was still standing. She stared at the branch where Isabel landed with narrowed eyes. It was about 8 meters high, which was of course very tall.
Needless to guess, she was obviously not sure whether she could jump there or not.
Although she was an Evolver with super strength, but there was indeed one other drawback of that path.
It lacked the flexibility possessed by magus and knights.
Both of them, when gathering their energy in their legs, could increase the strength of their jumps and their stability upon landing.
Evolvers, on the other hand, only had increased physical strength but no spiritual energy.
That's what makes them lacking.
In the end, how high they can jump will depend on their own physical strength.
Unfortunately, Jade was an ordinary Evolver with average strength.
She might be able to jump up to 4 meters, but 8 meters was still too high for her.
While she was thinking, she suddenly felt something flowing into her foot. It made her feel like her body became lighter while her foot became stronger.
"This?" She was surprised by the sensation and couldn't help but stare at Arthur who also hadn't jumped up yet.
"Let's go," Arthur said, waving his hand before jumping after the others.
Jade looked at her feet first, she took a breath before looking at the tree branch again.
Whoosh!
She jumped, reaching 8 meters in an instant and landing perfectly.
Although it was her first time jumping that high, but in the end she had jumped many times, so landing was no problem for her. It was different for Isabel at that time because it was her first time.
Isabel just realized that Jade was actually unable to keep up with her, seeing Arthur helping her, she let out a sigh of relief.
Whoosh!
She accelerated her movements, making it difficult for even Rose and the others to keep up.
The problem was that she was indeed much stronger than them. With that difference, her lack of experience wasn't enough to make it difficult for her to defeat them.
As they went further into the forest, they found the branches becoming denser.
However, none of that could make it difficult for them as Isabel who was leading at the front unleashed her lightning magic whenever there was an obstacle.
With a single shot of lightning bolts, she was able to create a fairly wide path.
And she seemed to enjoy unleashing her power constantly.
