The Fastest Falling Country
Japan might be simpler than South Korea for Dio as the people in this country worshipped strong people! He only ought to find that kind of individual and make them yield using his power alone! But as Dio stepped into Japan, he found that the situation was far from simple!
If South Korea were ridden with unorganized crime, Japan was the other way around! The Yakuza clearly had their claw deep in the country that they could do whatever they wanted. Not to say that South Korea didn’t have its own gang-affiliated crime, but Japan’s gang organisation operated more legally in some way.
The Yakuza’s destructive power clearly went beyond other kinds of destruction! In addition, the Yakuza itself was linked with many political figures inside the country, making them the influential figure behind the government itself!
This chaos undoubtedly became the perfect opportunity for them to thrive! While the people were still immersed in their sorrow and despair, these cold-blooded people had already begun taking advantage to reach a greater height!
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtIt wasn’t that difficult for a bright person to see that the foundation of Human Society was still there, even if half of the population were gone at once!
It seems this chaotic time was a good opportunity for the likes of the Yakuza to scoop the most profit for themselves! The Yakuza has begun controlling the demons and monsters that appeared as they saw the opportunity for it. They have also begun manipulating the people’s opinion as they wanted to fix their public image.
Certainly, if all went according to plan, the Yakuza would be the one controlling the country from top to bottom! They could definitely do everything they want without any public repercussions in the future! They didn’t even need to think about the intervention from other countries as the other countries had their hands full with their own problem at the moment!
The Yakuza began attracting a large number of young adults who had nothing to do, and began amassing their power further. The government that had its hands full with the ongoing chaos could only watch and observe from a distance as there was nothing they could do.
It definitely wouldn’t be long for the Yakuza to achieve their goal!
But the problem came sooner than they expected! The Yakuza itself wasn’t exactly one organisation. They were divided into families, and these families had their own agenda! That being said, they began fighting other families to make sure that their Yakuza family would be the one on top of everything!
A series of problems arose in an instant. Before the government could even be controlled completely, the Yakuza Families already had a dispute among themselves! It was like everything had already been determined if they won this dispute!
But, this was also a good news from the government’s point of view, as they now had room to breathe and focus on curbing the chaos in their own way. The government itself wasn’t powerless by any chance, but they didn’t want to show their cards just to make sure the Yakuza didn’t get what they wanted!
The Yakuza wouldn’t be an issue once the army was dispatched to eliminate their influences, so the government just monitored them for now as they began to inhibit their own moves. The government would only make a move once the conflict among the Yakuza stopped and the winner was announced!
Meanwhile, on the street, regardless of day or night, the Yakuza could be seen fighting each other at almost any given time. They were trying hard to make sure that the other families didn’t get the upper hand over their own family.
When the fight ensued, the innocent wasn’t exactly out of harm’s way! Many people were caught in the crossfire and died. As a repercussion of these battles, none of the factory operated, and no store or supermarket dared to open! Food and water became a hard currency that people were starting to fight over and steal.
Money was now reduced to a mere paper that didn’t hold any value. However, the red light district that was unique in Japan had a new golden opportunity for itself. A large number of women working in this industry willingly surrender to the police for free food. As they knew, the world had already plunged into chaos, and living in prison was more comfortable than living in the street!
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmDio walked through the street and alleyway, observing everything that happened here, and he finally understood what was happening in the city. This was figuratively hell on earth! What he saw and heard was simply shocking! Many people became homeless and died of cold at night at some run-down alleyways.
If he could compare this country to China or the USA, those countries would be a paradise compared to Japan! Even South Korea, which was chaotic too, was better than this country! It was probably because Japan was a high maintenance kind of country, but the depravity inside this country happened too fast by Human standard!
On a single day alone, Dio encountered no less than 20 gang members that stopped him and mugged him for all he was worth.
It was really something laughable that humans could fall so low! But at this moment, Dio couldn’t laugh. Instead, he felt extreme sadness as this wasn’t supposed to happen in such a beautiful country.
But something surprised Dio to no avail, as one day, he saw a woman in her thirties willfully walking through the chaotic streets and stuck a missing person notice in a street lamp and billboard for her missing 8 years old daughter.
Even so, the woman was being tailed by several mobs! The mob didn’t even care about the respectable woman that just wanted to find her missing daughter and got on with her day. When the mob stopped her, the woman didn’t even resist as she simply said, “Please hurry, whatever you want to do to me, my daughter is still waiting for me to find her!” she said indifferently.
The torn clothes and muck all over her body were good proofs that stated this wasn’t the first time she was stopped and suffered atrocities in the hands of these mobs.
She didn’t care what happened to her as her love for her daughter was the thing that made her look forward. It was the only thing that allowed her to survive in this hellish world!
