553 Carve thy sin
Jun Ye Rim was seated on the chair. She looked at Vincent. When she saw he was about to leave, she grabbed his hand and said with a wavering voice, “Please. Don’t. Abandon. Me.”
Vincent summoned a spare bedsheet and covered Jun Ye Rim. “I will be back.” He said while taking a few steps back.
From behind the spectators, a male’s voice said, “I will look after her.”
Vincent turned his gaze and saw Elias heavily breathing. Without asking why Elias was here instead of Maria’s lesson, Vincent nodded once and looked at the broken window.
Vincent cracked his neck and curled his fingers. Vincent effortlessly jumped one story high and grabbed onto the wall with his small claw-like pointy tips.
Vincent swiftly scaled the wall, shocking everyone gazing at him. He soon reached the ledge with shattered glass on it. He pulled himself to stand, crouched on the ledge, and looked at the five aggressors staring at him.
“You! How are you here?”
“How did you get here so quickly?”
“Is your plaything dead?”
.....
“Did you cause the recent tremor?”
“Get out of here if you know what is good for you.”
Vincent maniacally smirked when the five aggressors spoke almost at the same time. He jumped down and cracked his neck again.
“How I got here, you ask?” Vincent said with a menacing hoarse voice. He cracked his knuckles and revealed, “Her snake called out to me.”
Looking at Vincent’s soul-piercing gaze and bloodlust slowly seeping from his body was starting to take a toll on their bodies.
As they were noble sons who never experienced a life or death situation nor had enough malicious intent resistance training, their breathing became heavy, and their bodies quivered uncontrollably.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtVincent’s eyes brightened, and his lips moved to utter, “Submit.”
The five aggressors fell on their knees one after the other. Two of them gasped for air. One soiled himself, while the remaining two were trying their hardest and barely resisting Vincent’s overwhelming bloodlust.
“S... stay back...”
“You... will pay...”
“Are... you... human?...”
*Gasp* “Need... air...”
“Mommy...”
“Silence, you trash wearing a costly garbage bag.” Vincent grabbed the nearest one, lifted him from the collar of his uniform, and glared at him. “You better pray yesterday’s night snow can cushion your fall.”
“W-w-what... Ahhhhh!” He shouted while being thrown out of the window helplessly.
[Vincent...] Kazumi left Vincent’s body and went to check if the aggressor had died from the fall.
“...”
“M-murderer...”
“Hahaha.” Vincent maniacally laughed. He looked at them with a vicious grin and said, “The headmaster tried to teach you how to survive alone in the wilds, but he forgot to teach rich trash what it feels to be in front of a monster that wants to kill you.”
“...”
“Silence, huh?” Vincent grabbed two of the remaining four by the collar of their uniform. He walked to the window and said, “I hope you make it out alive.” before throwing them outside.
Vincent grinned. He turned around and caught a piece of glass. “Looks like you trash are starting to resit my intent.” *Shatter* “But it is a useless effort. You two will be executed downstairs.”
“M-monster!”
“Stay away from us!”
Vincent ignored their voices and lifted them. He slowly walked to the window with a pair of bloodlust-filled eyes while saying, “Not only did you try to do a disgusting thing to a woman, but you tried to do it to my people.”
“Trustable people are hard to come by. I will not lose them. Not to trash like you.” He said before throwing them out of the window.
Vincent looked outside. He saw students catching the fall of the five aggressors with wind magic. His rage intensified at the thought of professional treatment. No one tried to save Jun Ye Rim, nor did they ask if she was going to be fine. They simply watched and commented.
Vincent became blinded by rage. He jumped down, yet no one tried to cushion his fall.
Vincent stood up and moved his head. He looked at the students around him. They commented on what was happening in a low voice while their eyes remained on Vincent.
A student went in front of Vincent. “What is a first-year doing here? Why are you causing a commotion? Don’t you know if we didn’t catch their fall, they could have died!”
Vincent lowered his gaze. He noticed the student was in the fifth year. A frown appeared on his face, and his angered fists became flat.
“Who told you to save them?” Vincent said before swinging his arm. *Smack!* and sending the fifth year tumbling on the ground like a piece of paper caught by a strong gust of wind.
The students took a couple of steps back after watching a fifth year being knocked a few meters to the side. Even if caught off guard, no fifth-year student can be overpowered this much by a first-year, or so everyone believed.
A teacher arrived next. He ordered Vincent to stop approaching the five on the ground. However, Vincent didn’t listen to him. He listened to no one. Not even Kazumi’s voice was reaching him because Vincent was once again afflicted by the rageful trance caused by the mutation.
After a few lines of chant, the teacher used a wind dome spell to make a barrier of wind between Vincent and the five lying on the ground. However, to his and anyone watching’s a surprise, Vincent swung his arm, and the wind dome destabilized and vanished a couple of seconds later.
“Impossible! How can a powerful protection spell be so weak?”
“Did Vincent Lionheart just destroy the third year’s magic teacher’s spell?”
“I saw it too! We all saw it!”
The teacher went between Vincent and the five lying on the ground. “Stop, I said! You will have to come with me to the...”
Vincent pointed at Jun Ye Rim, holding the cover with her trembling hands, and Elias was standing guard beside her. “My team member was about to be molested. Are you going to defend molesters?”
The students had seemed Jun Ye Rim’s uniform damaged by force. Additionally, the uniform was damaged enough to show violent harassment. After adding the face, Jun Ye Rim was constantly trembling. They put one and one together that she jumped to die undefiled.
The teacher quickly looked around and noticed the students looking at him. It was obvious they wanted to see what the teacher’s decision was going to be.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm“Do you have any evidence for trying to murder five students? Incriminating five students after attempting to murder them sounds like a cover-up. Was this perhaps planned?” Asked the teacher with suspicion.
The students began to doubt both Vincent and the teacher’s words now. Both situations could have happened. The choice of who is telling the truth has become more difficult now.
Vincent tried to hold the last bit of reason in his body from being lost, but hearing the teacher doubt him caused his rage to become the only thing in his mind.
Vincent’s eyes shone brightly, and his surroundings became heavy with the bloodlust escaping his body.
Even Elias could do nothing but fall to his knees like almost all the students near them. On the other hand, Jun Ye Rim remained unaffected, but it was because of Kazumi.
Jun Ye Rim was so mentally and physically weak that Kazumi could easily enter and rest in her Soul Domain while being within the range limit of Vincent’s body. This unexpectedly allowed Jun Ye Rim to resist Vincent’s overwhelming bloodlust.
Regrettably, no matter how much Kazumi begged Jun Ye Rim to stop Vincent, her legs had no strength, and her mouth couldn’t say a word. The only person who could hear Vincent couldn’t try to stop him from making the situation worse.
The teacher started chanting, but Vincent was too close and too fast to allow the teacher to use a restraining spell.
A great force swiftly kicked the teacher’s ankle, lifting his body from the ground. While both legs weren’t touching the ground, Vincent placed his hand on the falling teacher’s chest.
The teacher saw Vincent’s gaze. He couldn’t believe the student in front of him was a human. “Monster...” was his last words before a powerful pressure pushed him many meters away.
The students who could resist Vincent’s overwelming pressure were bewildered. A student in the first year easily defeated a teacher. An overwhelming victory with one move.
Vincent approched the nearest agressor. He looked at him while begging for mercy, but Vincent had none.
Vincent grabbed the shirt of the aggressor in front of him. He ripped it viciously with a cold gaze. He extended his index finger, and a vicious grin appeared on his face.
“Ahhh!” The aggressor screamed in pain, yet no one nearby could help him. He couldn’t move his body while someone was publicly assaulting him.
Lilith, Clair, Tiffi, and Maria arrived. While Lilith and Maria kept approaching, Clair and Tiffi had to stay back as the pressure was too much for them.
Lilith covered her mouth at the appalling view of Vincent carving a large letter on the chest of a human. “Vincent... what are you doing?...”
On the other hand, Maria frowned. As a person who experienced torture, she moved her gaze to grasp the situation calmly as if the view didn’t affect her.
Maria soon saw a fainted teacher and student. She also saw Jun Ye Rim trembling. After catching a glimpse of Jun Ye Rim’s torn skirt, Maria had an idea why Vincent was so angry.
“Vincent. Stop!.” Shouted Lilith, catching Vincent’s attention.
Vincent became even more vicious to finish what he started. After quickly carving a letter on the first aggressor’s upper body, Vincent stood up and pointed at Jun Ye Rim.
“They tried to molest Jun Ye Rim. The forced her to end her life. If I was a moment later, she would be dead.” Vincent grinned while looking at the remaining four aggressors, causing them to shudder in utter fear. “I shall carve their sin.”
Lilith turned her head. She saw Jun Ye Rim, and a rush of anger made her think a little justice wouldn’t do that much harm. However, doubt about the future haunted her thoughts.
