Olivia exploded with anger when she heard that.
“Justin! How dare you talk to me like that when you're sleeping around with some other woman?
Besides, how could I possibly walk away and let you two...”
She couldn't bring herself to continue as she would just be humiliating her son even further.
Not wanting to make things any more awkward, Justin's father, Christopher, kept his head low to avoid
seeing anything he shouldn't as he made his way toward Justin.
A quick glance at Justin's face was all he needed to realize something was amiss. “Have you been
drugged with a powerful aphrodisiac?”
Olivia lost her cool when she heard that.
“You b*tch! How dare you drug my son? I'll teach you a lesson for ruining his reputation!” she shouted
while charging toward the table.
Veronique's body was trembling all over. The mere thought of Justin's parents seeing her naked made
her extremely uncomfortable.
Oh, no! My family's reputation will be completely destroyed if Justin tells his parents I drugged him!
“What are you doing, Justin? Let go of me! This b*tch had the audacity to do it with you in a f*cking
café! I want to know who she is!”
Justin held on to Olivia's arm with one hand while gripping the table with the other. “She's just a small-
time celebrity, Mom. You shouldn't defile your eyes by looking at her.”
“But she drugged you, Justin! Everyone knows you're going to marry into the Fletcher family and

Olivia shouted angrily.
Justin pursed his lips and said nonchalantly, “She wasn't the one who drugged me. Someone tried to
set me up by drugging me, so I had her come over to help relieve my urges.”
“Justin!” Olivia raised her voice as she continued, “Do you take me for a fool or something? You're a
talented doctor, and you can't even deal with a freaking aphrodisiac? There's no way you'd need to
resort to this! If you're going to lie, at least come up with a more convincing excuse!”
While he was distracted, Olivia shoved him aside and dragged the woman off the table by the arm.
“Veronique?” Olivia's eyes went wide with shock when she saw her face.
A few seconds later, she yelled at the top of her lungs, “Why are you so d*mn persistent? I told you
seven years ago that Justin doesn't love you! He's going to marry the daughter of the Fletcher family!
Why won't you just leave him alone?”
At that moment, Veronique really wished Justin hadn't wiped the blood off her face.
Olivia probably wouldn't have recognized me if I still had my face covered in blood! Can the ground just
open up and swallow me whole? This humiliation is killing me!
Justin shoved Olivia off her and pulled Veronique into his arms. “Dad, could you please get Mom out of
here for now? I'll give you two a proper explanation once I take care of things here.”
Christopher nodded and grabbed Olivia's arm as he whispered, “We're in public right now, so let's not
blow things out of proportion here. Come on. We'll wait outside while Justin takes care of Ms.
Veronique.”
“No! I will call Mr. Revelle and have him come over! I want him to see what a b*tch his daughter is! The
Revelle family has always acted like they're better than everyone else, so I want to show him how
shameless his daughter turned out to be!”
“There's no need to go that far, Olivia. Don't make this any harder for our son. Remember, it takes two
to tango. Ms. Veronique wouldn't have done something like this if Justin had kept his hands to himself.”
However, Olivia refused to listen and retrieved her phone from her purse.
Veronique quickly shoved Justin aside and knelt in front of her when she saw that.
“I'm sorry! I shouldn't have drugged Justin! I shouldn't have desired a man who doesn't belong to me!
Please don't call my father! His poor old heart can't take something like this! I promise this won't
happen again!” she pleaded while holding on to the hem of Olivia's dress.
Veronique even started sobbing as she fell into despair.
Why is this happening to me? This is the only way for me to save Zephyr! I can't imagine what I'd do
without him! He's too young to die like this!
Justin let out a sigh as he knelt beside her and wrapped an arm around her shoulder. He then looked
up at Olivia and said, “Unless you want the Fletcher family to find out about this, you should just let this
matter rest. Luckily for us, we haven't done anything because you got here in time.”
“Are you saying you don't plan on marrying Scarlett anymore?” Olivia asked while glaring coldly at
Justin.
Justin tensed up upon hearing that and fell silent for a brief moment before replying, “No, I will only
marry Scarlett.”
“All right, you'd better remember what you just said.” Olivia bent over and hauled Veronique to her feet
as she continued, “I won't humiliate your father by having him come over, but you must take me to the
Revelle residence. I want to hear your father promise he'll keep a close eye on you in the future. I can't
afford to have you cause my son any more trouble.”

Justin was about to protest, but Veronique stopped him and said, “All right, as you wish.”
She then retrieved the antidote from her handbag and handed it over to Justin.
I know I'm practically handing Zephyr's life along with this antidote, but I don't have a choice. Given
how things have turned out, I can only leave Hallsbay with Zephyr and keep him happy for as long as
he has to live.
Meanwhile, in Shelbert Condominium, Bailey leaped to her feet and exclaimed in shock, “What?
Justin's parents caught Vero trying to seduce him?”
“Yeah.” Zayron nodded solemnly. “You told me to keep an eye on Vero a few days ago, didn't you?
Well, according to my contacts, Vero drugged Justin after meeting up with him at Sugar and Spice
Café. They were about to do it when Justin's parents found out and rushed over to stop them.”
Bailey narrowed her eyes slightly after hearing that.
I asked Zayron to keep an eye on Veronique a few days ago because I wanted to find out who Zephyr's
father is. I figured Veronique would go see Zephyr's biological father now that the boy's life was in
danger, but she went to see Justin instead. What does this mean?

Bailey was snapped out of her train of thought when the phone on the coffee table started ringing all of
a sudden. She picked it up and saw that it was Artemis calling.
“Keep everything that happened at the café tonight a secret. I don't want anyone leaking that
information. You know what to do, don't you?”
“Don't worry, Bailey. I've already paid off all the people who know about it.”
“All right. I'm going to take this call.”
