Chapter 611 Afraid That I Will Kill You

When Lionel walked into the study, he saw Victor leaning against the couch nonchalantly while sipping his coffee.

“Look who's here? It's my brother-in-law. I'm contemplating whether I should head over to the infirmary to meet

you since I thought you didn't dare to meet me. I heard my sister suffered symptoms of miscarriage. How is she?

Did she lose the baby?”

Lionel crossed the room and took a seat across from Victor with a deadpan look. Gazing at Victor with cold eyes, he

demanded, “Tell me your terms. Since we're both sensible people, there's no need to talk in a roundabout way. Just

cut to the chase.”

The corner of Victor's lip curled into a cold grin. The minute he set his cup down on the table, the smile on his faded

and was replaced by a contorted look.

“You refused to listen when I talked to you nicely. You left me no choice but to dig for any dirt you have. Look where

we are now. I found out your secret. Let's see how long you can keep up your attitude.”

The light shining in Lionel's eyes slowly dimmed until intense hostility filled them.

I'm not scared of revealing the truth. It's a fact that my father harmed Victoria's mother. As his son, I should atone

for his sins. However, Victoria is pregnant and suffers from symptoms of miscarriage. She's ordered to stay in bed

and rest. She can't take any more shock as she is. I can't tell her the truth now when two lives are at risk. I'm willing

to trade everything I have to protect the baby in her belly. I have to cover up every seam of the truth, at least

before she delivers the baby. She must not find out.

“You win. I'm no match for you. Since I can't resist nor reject you, just come out and say it. What else do you want

other than Saunders Group's shares?”

I know Victor won't let this chance slip from his fingers. The shares from the Saunders Group can no longer satisfy

his greed. I'm sure he'll throw out some harsh terms today, and I'm ready to face them. Wealth is not vital to me.

It's dispensable. The only reason I clung to it before was for revenge. I need to avenge my broken family. However,

I finally realized the Saunders family owed my family nothing when I got the truth from my father after continuously

suppressing Saunders Group. Instead, my father and I owe the Saunders family more than we could ever atone. As

the dust settles on the past, all I want now is to protect Victoria from any harm. I want to protect the daughter her

baby and let her decide whether she's willing to forgive me. I'm fine even if she's unwilling to. I'll still care for her

discreetly, protect her, and stay by her side until the day I die.

Victor's laughter echoed in the room, snapping Lionel out of his train of thought.

“It's true that one must hit where it hurts. It doesn't matter how capable you are. You still have to obey me once I

hold your weakness in my hand. You're scared, Lionel. You're afraid that Victoria will discover that my mother died

from the car accident your father had plotted. Moreover, the revenge you always talk about is nothing but a joke.

It's your family who owes mine,” Victor mocked with a malicious grin.

Lionel fixed his icy gaze on Victor and said, “I know. You don't have to constantly remind me. I'm already sitting

here, ready to promise your demands. So tell me, what do you want?”

Victor answered straightforwardly, “Well, first, transfer the Saunders Group's share to my name. Second, I want all

the shares of LG Corporation. I'll take the secret of your father murdering my mother to the grave if you can fulfill

my two demands.”

With an arch of his brow, Lionel chuckled. “How greedy of you. Aren't you afraid that I'll kill you? After all, only the

dead can keep a secret.”

Victor shrugged and taunted, “Kill me, then. I'm stretching out my neck now, waiting for you to behead me, but...

I'm the only family left Victoria has in this world. Even though she says she doesn't acknowledge me as her brother,

I know she still thinks of me as one. She will never forgive you if you kill me.”

Lionel shook his head as he laughed. “Victor, you're truly an assh*le. Victoria sure is unfortunate to have a

shameless brother like you. Okay, I agree with both of your demands. Give me a week, and I'll deal with the

procedures. I also hope that you'll keep your promise. Don't make a scene in front of Victoria, at least before she

delivers.”

Victor gave him a perplexed look.

I thought he would at least hesitate for a few days. I didn't expect him to agree to my demands immediately. From

my understanding, he holds sixty percent of LG Corporation's shares, meaning he's the biggest shareholder. Those

shares are worth hundreds of billions. I didn't think he would give up on such a fortune for a down-and-out toy. This

guy is so stupid. He can have any women he wants if he's swimming in cash. With women clamoring around him, he

doesn't have to worry about not having an heir. Besides, the baby in Victoria's belly is not even a boy. He's out of his

mind for making such a decision.

“You agreed? Just like that?”

Lionel shrugged and smiled. “What else should I say? Reject you and let you reveal the secret to Victoria, then

watch her miscarry from getting worked up?”

Victor didn't know how to respond to his sarcasm.

“Rest assured. I won't go back on my words since I already promised you. Give me seven days, and I'll transfer all

the shares to your name.”

Meanwhile, in the hallway, Kimberly had been sticking her ear against the door, eavesdropping on the conversation

inside the room.

Oh, heavens! So Victoria's mother didn't die from an accident but was murdered by Benjamin's schemes! No

wonder Lionel concedes to Victor's demands. It's because Victor has such a big secret in his grasp. I can't believe

Lionel will really put everything on the line to protect that piece of meat in Victoria's belly. He just agreed to transfer

hundreds of billions worth of shares like it was nothing. Is he planning to take Victoria overseas and start over a new

life after dealing with Victor? Hmph! I won't let that happen! The Gezmonds have trapped me here my entire life.

All my youth was exhausted here in vain. I won't let Lionel and Victoria be together and live happily forever. Since
