Chapter 483
“Even in this sorry state, why are you still unable to overcome that annoying habit of yours?” Dylan
rolled his eyes in annoyance.
Lowering his head. Kevan grunted in agreement and took the tissues to dry up the water stains on his
clothes slowly.
He struggled to finish the rest of the water, wetting his dry and cracked lips.
Glancing at the bag above his hand, he asked Dylan, “How much longer until the IV is over?”
There was still hall of the liquid left in the bag.
“About half an hour,” Dylan replied. “Alex went out for a smoke, but he’ll be back soon to remove the
IV.”
Dylan was referring to a doctor friend of his, Alexander Wade
Alex was working as the head of a department at a hospital and hadn’t put in an IV drip for many years.
“Why did you call Alex here?” Kevan fumowed his brows slightly. “Wasn’t he busy with the restructuring

“What else could I do? Dylan fixed his glasses. “You can’t go to the hospital and I don’t trust other
doctors to come here. Calling my only choice.”
Kevan shut up and didn’t say anything more.
Alex returned quickly after finishing his cigarette
“You woke up so soon?” he said in greeting.
Kevan mustered up a slight smile as his response.
“Can’t you speed up the infusion?” Kevan asked.
was
“Of course not.” Alexsat down beside Dylan, “I could, I would’ve done it already! I need to get back to
the hospital as soon as possible!” “What?” Dylan raised his eyebrows and looked at Alex with
suspicion. “When were you so enthusiastic about work? I heard that ever since you became the head
of your department, you’re never at the hospital outside of working hours! What’s more, you don’t
accept walk–in patients you could help it.”
Alex lamented, “Didn’t tell you that the hospital management is undergoing a restructuring? Thats my
chance to get promoted to a higher position! Besides, I just received news that a bigshot is going to be
admitted into our department as a patient this moming. He is definitely someone influential as the
general manager of the Winston Hotel escorted him to the hospital in person. It can establish a good
relationship with this patient and convince him to sponsor our department with some expensive
machines, my promotion will be
secured
Despite Alex’s long–winded answer, Kevan’s interest was piqued when Larissa’s job as the general
manager of the Winston Hotel was
mentioned.
“Call now and find out who that patient really is.” Kevan narrowed his eyes.
Although he knew that Larissa was likely escorting a high–profile guest from the hotel, what it it was not
the case?
He would never allow any mishap to happen to Larissa.

Dylan nudged him with his elton impatiently. “Stop with the pointless challer and just make the call”
“I’m not your employee. Why should I do whatever you tell me? Alex protested in annoyance. rushed
over here early in the morning with medical supplies and you’ve not even thanked me for my efforts!”
“Thank you so much, Dr. Wade!” Dylan humored him immediately. “Make the call right now and find
out. Once you’ve received Information regarding his identity, Microworks Corporation will sponsor two
new machines for your hospital tomorrow. Deal?”
Alex quickly took out his phone. “Deal! You’d better not go back on your word 1/2
occupation is currently unknown. He was brought to the hospital due to a seizure and is currently
resting in the VIP ward. Besides the general manager of the Winston Hotel there is also another young
man in his thirties with him. He seems to be Gary’s assistant.”
“Gary?” Kevan lelt like he had heard that name before but couldn’t recall where he heard it.
was Dylan who reminded him. “Isn’t he the CEO of Blue Star Shipping? The company is currently
negotiating a partnership with Soaring Corporation, Gary went to the Regal Dynasty Hotel in the first
place and requested the presidential suite, however, he ended up going to The Winston Hotel because
Cody occupied the suite to fool around with C–list celebrities and actresses.”
