Chapter 675
Larissa was used to seeing young girls like Milly.
If this were before, she would have put an end to what Milly was thinking. But Larissa really liked Milly, so she did
not expose Milly’s feelings. She even did her best to give Milly the answers she wanted,
“He’s like a brother to me. If he had a girlfriend, she may not get jealous over this sort of thing.”
Milly relaxed.
“Your cousin doesn’t have a girlfriend?!”
She widened her eyes.
“He’s so handsome! How can he not have a girlfriend?! You can’t be lying to me, right?”
Larissa found it odd as well. With how Lewis looked, it was weird for him not to have a girlfriend. She could only
think of one explanation.
“Maybe it’s because he’s so busy with work. That’s why he doesn’t have time to get a girlfriend.”
“What does your cousin do? Why would he be so busy that he can’t even get a girlfriend?”
Milly straightened up at once. Her face was super serious like she was discussing a very philosophical problem with

“He helps my dad with the company.”
Larissa did not go into detalls for lear of scaring Milly.
“Ah—“Milly nodded. She did not look quite as eager as she did before. “Then, yeah, he’s quite busy.”
Well Milly had been scared off.
Larissa was annoyed with herself when she suddenly heard Milly say, “Speaking of, though, your cousin can’t be as
busy as Mr. Rogers, right? Because even Mr. Rogers could take time out to fall in love with someone else
Milly was referring to Kevan.
As the guy who kept his top spot in Forbes‘ lists for richest men in Caldor, he was probably the busiest man in the
country to Milly.
“You don’t know how long Mr. Rogers waited in the living room yesterday. When I left, he was still there.”
Milly’s voice was filled with admiration. If Milly had not said it Larissa would not have known a thing about it.
Now that Larissa knew about it her feelings became more and more complicated.
“What happened to that former colleague of yours you spoke about yesterday?” Larissa forcibly changed the
subject.
Milly did not notice Larissa’s plan. She was distracted at once. “He’s still pleading for mercy with his superior, but
it’s useless. Once the director makes a decision, how could his superior go against the director?
“If I were him, I’d find another job at a different hospital. For someone like him who is willing to interact with dead
people, it’s easy for him to find jobs. But he had to cling to his current one–”
Milly was too innocent.
Based on what Larissa knew about Kevan, once he made someone lose their job, they would never be able to find
another job ever again.
*Aren’t you guys trying to make a donation? Is there an account number? I’d like to make an effort too.”
This matter started because of her, after all. Larissa felt guilty, and she wanted to make it up to the young man.
Milly waved her hands. “This is just a donation run that’s between us colleagues. We won’t take money from others.
But if you really want to help him, can you give him back his job?
Milly already heard her colleagues say that the young man lost his job because he offended Yvette’s daughter.
He was indeed very dedicated to his job. He hated family members who left their dead at the hospital morgue. So,
when he laced people

long time. So, he automatically assumed Larissa was being disrespectful and caused trouble for her on purpose.
After Larissa listened to Milly’s explanation, she was silent for a moment. Then, she spoke. “Til try to give him back
his job.”
It was not like she could guarantee that Kevan would listen to her.
Alter Milly left, Larissa sent a WhatsApp text to Kevan.
“Are you free today? I want to talk to you about something.”
Kevan was likely busy, as he only responded a while later.
“I head over around 6pm.”
Larissa replied. “Okay.”
It was hard to wait. She had a lot on her mind, and so she could not sleep. Larissa watched a few TV programs
