we’ve paid!” As she spoke. she pulled on Larissa’s arm.

Larissa was not afraid of Lewis, but she was afraid of Lewis seeing Marilyn in a bad light, so she agreed with her

friend and said. “Thank you for your treat today, Mr. Logan Junior. I guess today ends here.”

Lewis pretended not to notice the weirdness of both ladies as he agreed with Larissa. He followed them out of the

restaurant.

They walked back to the company to get their cars.

Larissa did not drive to work, so Lewis suggested sending her back. “It’s easy for me to drop by Larissa’s place, I

can give her a lift back.”

“Sure. Drive safely.” Marilyn was probably still worried about Lewis holding her accountable, and she did not say

more to him. She got into her car and escaped.

Marilyn earlier?”
