Chapter 194
“How nice,” he sighed.
Larissa’s heart did a somersault and tears filled her eyes. All of a sudden, she actually regretted that
she wasn’t really his Lari. She thought that if she was his Lari, she would never have abandoned him
even though she had to follow her parents’ plans. “Sleep,” she whispered while patting his back lightly.
“I won’t leave your side.”
Kevan fell asleep very quickly. Larissa was still awake as she counted his long eyelashes and couldn’t
stop herself from touching his face. His skin was indeed as smooth and tender as she had imagined.
Next time, she really had to ask him what his skincare routine was.
The alarm clock by the bedside showed that it was past 1 am. Larissa got a shock and wanted to get

She dared not push them away by force for fear of waking him, but it was useless if she was too gentle.
Just as she was panicking, Kevan’s eyes suddenly flew open, giving her a huge fright. Kevan’s gaze
was blank until he saw her. He smiled happily and buried his face against her neck, brushing it against
her like a puppy. “You’re really still here.” His voice was so soft that it was barely audible, but Larissa
still heard him. Her heart gave a wild thump, and finally, she sighed softly and closed her eyes in
resignation.
Larissa was woken up by Kevan. He yanked her blanket away and picked her up h or izontally, then
strode outside. Larissa was still somewhere in dreamland, and her eyes were only open by a slit. Her
mind was fuzzy, and she couldn’t think straight. Only when Kevan opened the door, and the cold wind
made her shiver and sneeze uncontrollably did she slowly sober up. By the time she was fully awake,
Kevan was already standing outside her home while carrying her.
He pressed her right thumb against the fingerprint reader and the door opened automatically. Larissa
immediately struggled to get down. and said, “Thank you for the trouble, Mr. Rogers, but I can walk by
myself!”
Kevan looked at her coldly and warned, “Don’t move.”
Larissa curled up and dared not make another move.
He walked directly into her bedroom and asked, “Where’s your household register?”
“Why do you want my household register?” Larissa didn’t know what he was getting at. Kevan put her
down and took a folded paper out of his trouser pocket. “Did you write this letter of guarantee?” he
asked and waved it in front of her face. Larissa felt as if she had gotten struck by lightning. Dylan, that
prankster! Hadn’t he said that Kevan wouldn’t remember anything that happened while he was drunk?!

“Mr. Shields wrote it.” She tried her best to cast the spotlight away from herself.
Kevan narrowed his eyes and asked, “But I’m sure this signature belongs to you, right?” He pointed at
the lower right corner of the paper.
“This this doesn’t count,” Larissa said. She was starting to panic. “I can explain what happened last
night.”
…
“What I need isn’t an explanation.” Kevan cut her off and said, “Elther marry me or be at my disposal.”
Larissa felt as if she had fallen into a trap. She contemplated and weighed her options repeatedly, then
said, “I choose the latter.”
“Good.” Kevan smirked and said, “Then grab your household register and Identification card and follow
me to the City Hall.”
