Chapter 1366: Darkness Before Dawn
Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
Wang Zheng and Aina enjoyed the calm and rich life of Tita. Aina wasn’t too involved in the activities of Tita. All focus was on the war between the Milky Way Alliance and Arbiter. Tita was forgotten.
Wang Zheng went to the military camp almost everyday to help out with the training of the giants and also to inspire them. He himself would be encouraged in the process. He would sometimes stay and eat with them. Aina got closer to Ye Zisu and Lan Ling, enriching Aina’s life. Only a woman could understand another woman. They knew that while Aina didn’t say anything, for a Princess suddenly coming to a primitive place, the first day was heaven, the second day would probably become dull, a week would become long and even hell-like. It was nothing compared to Aslan. It was totally different from Aslan.
Ye Zisu could see that Aina had put all her attention on Wang Zheng. She liked what he liked and loved what he loved. However, Ye Zisu was more worried that she was doing things this way. A person could never completely forget their own family and kin. Aina was probably escaping from it right now.
She could say nothing about it. She could only try to lessen Aina’s stress. Luckily, the international situation was more favorable towards Aslan. The Arbiters did use their wits, they wanted to surround the warriors with the planet and the fleet, but they had once again underestimated Aslan’s intelligence. The coalition forces sent only a small fleet and some defenders while most of the fleet started focusing their attacks on the nine bigger planets of the Arbiter Republic.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe strategy of the coalition forces was clear. They didn’t have to take the risk to spread their forces and chase after the Arbiters. That would waste their time and energy. They needed only to consistently attack Arbiter’s planets until they could not take it any longer. The Arbiters would then obediently confront them directly.
That idiotic strategist of Arbiter liked to strategize too much. He thought that the coalition forces would really spread their forces. He forgot that the coalition forces had the absolute advantage now. Hitting your family in front of your door, who could actually take it lying down?
The coalition forces had no intention of landing and fighting on the ground. They destroyed their spaceport and attacked all military buildings. Of course, some buildings that were of civilian use were destroyed in the process. This was war. They wouldn’t be going against the rules as long as they didn’t target the dense population. Moreover, it wasn’t like a direct hit wasn’t out of the question if things advanced to that stage. War was like a game, constantly pressing each other and forcing the other side to bow first. There was no doubt that the Aslan Empire now had the upper hand.
Aslan’s tactics were once again successful. Even if Arbiter were about to obtain some secret supply, it was impossible for them to compete with the coalition forces. One country fighting a lone fight against the coalition forces with great intelligence. No one could see any hope for Arbiter internationally.
Most importantly, what was Aslan planning to do?
What did Kashawen actually want? Was it to destroy Arbiter? Or something else?
Things had gotten so out of control that no one could decipher this mystery. They had to wait till the end of the war to know.
The detached Arbiter forces waited quietly. Ren Yixuan did not do much other than to send a small fleet to harass them.
That made Mars and the rest of the people very anxious. The people in Ren Yixuan’s ship were the creme of the crop, the real hope of Arbiter. They were the hope for the present and the future. This was a strategy he had employed, but the enemy wasn’t going to take the bait. Now what?
“General, the enemy is starting to destroy our military facilities and has caused a huge amount of casualties. Our country will perish if we continue waiting like this!” Mars pushed.
Mars was rather influential amongst the young after Aragorn died. He was the most influential mech operator, so his words held a certain weight. The emotions of the warriors ran high, but Ren Yixuan wasn’t willing to barge.
Ren Yixuan was looking at the constellation diagram, his hands toying with each other as he smiled. “Mars, you have to be patient.”
“General, our people are now burning in the pits of hell, how are we going to be patient? We know your ability, why aren’t we sending our forces out to attack the enemy!?” Mars said in a deep voice.
Ren Yixuan wasn’t angry. He smiled and continued his patient stance. “There’s only one chance. Now is not the time. From the way the enemy reacted, they are still very wary. We have to wait, wait until they let their guard down. They will let it down if they are human. The darkness before the dawn is always filled with fear, but as long as we can wait quietly, we will be able to see the light. Our training has to carry on without any sloppiness. We will be able to settle it once and for all. A small win will not help us, but bring us to our downfall instead.”
Ren Yixuan was all smiles from the beginning. No one, including Mars, knew if this was real or a booster for himself. They had reached this point and had no other way. Ren Yixuan’s strategies were always very persuasive, but not once had they succeeded. However, he was good at giving people hope. They could only support him till the end since Arbiter was already at this point. Denying Ren Yixuan meant denying themselves. Most importantly, Arbiter had no opportunity to choose again. They could only continue down this dark road.
Chaos descended faster than expected on the Oracle Star when the “stars” disappeared. action
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe fleet left in the wee hours of the morning. The King of Water Sarah and the King of Earth Bilro jointly attacked the King of Wood Mo Ling. The core members of Mo Ling’s team were confirmed to be dead, while Mo Ling’s status was unknown. Obviously, Mo Ling didn’t intend to cooperate with these two people.
Lear listened to Jay York’s report with a smile. This person did have his stuff.
Jay York knelt in front of Lear the night the fleet left. Someone had actually sought him out when they were all still fearful of him.
With the departure of the fleet, the Elders, and the most devout group of followers, the Oracle Star was now completely abandoned by the Saint! Those left behind had to survive somehow. The restrictions and rules previously established were gone, so the fights had become more intense, cruel, and bloody. Lear was like a demon left behind. The outside world might not know, but the people in the Holy City knew about him. This devil had passed the experiment and was no longer human. They didn’t know why the Elders had left them behind, but the devil would kill them if they didn’t kill it first.
However, Jay York was smart. The first meaning of anything was always most important. Jay York was always able to be the first to make his choice at the most critical time. He was the first to join Meng Tian, the first to leave Meng Tian. Now, before the Oracle Star descended into chaos, it was him that bowed down to Lear first. In this eyes, being the devil didn’t matter. Strength and power did.
Moreover, he could only go to Lear and rely on the genetic fusion experiments to grow out his lost arm.
Jay York was afraid of death. He was so afraid of death that he could do anything, so he went directly to the laboratory. The reason why no one dared to attack the laboratory was because it was heavily guarded by weapons. It was not something that could be resisted with their bodies alone, but Jay York knew there was a possibility of survival there.
He had heard about Lear from Meng Tian. Lear was someone cruel to others and to himself. However, he wasn’t all that ruthless. An ambitious person needed a shameless dog to do things that he couldn’t or wouldn’t. Jay York was someone like that. He would do anything to survive.
No doubt, Lear was also someone smart. An ambitious, smart person. He needed such a dog now.
