replace him.”

James was surprised.
He never expected Gloom to have heard about the Ancient Four. It seemed that he was not merely a bodyguard.
“Speak. What business do you have with me?”
Gloom handed a document to James.
James asked, “What’s this?”
Gloom replied, “Since you’ve had a showdown with the Emperor, he’ll have to go. This is evidence of the Emperor’s
crimes all these years. It should be enough to remove him from his position.”
James flipped through the document and looked at Gloom puzzledly.
The fact that this document was being handed to him could only mean that the King knew what the Emperor had
been doing all this while. Why did he not remove the Emperor from his position but instead allowed him to do as he
pleased? He even directed James to make a move on the Emperor to collect evidence. What was the point of all
this?
