her voice was hoarse, but the men standing guard outside weren’t moved at all.

In the living room, Grant asked, “How should we establish contact with Vadesia, Richard?”

“Don’t worry, Grandpa. Leave it to me. I’ve already agreed with Kenzie, a secret agent from Vadesia,”

Richard said.

“I didn’t expect you to have already defected before this!” Grant said, surprised.

“I’m doing this for the sake of the family, Grandpa! Misfortune will befall us if we don’t plan for our

future!” Richard answered.

“You’re right. Has Kenzie said anything yet?” Grant asked.

“I wonder how the preparations are going on Alicia’s side,” Henry’s mother, Melinda, asked.

“You can call her and ask about it,” Donald said.

“That’s a good idea.” Melinda nodded.

However, Alicia was under house arrest, and her phone was taken away and was currently in Richard’s

hands.

Richard quickly took the call when he saw that Melinda was calling.

“Did you need anything, Mom?” Richard asked.

“Where’s Alicia? I want to talk to her,” Melinda said.

Stewarts planning to evacuate, too? What’s going to happen to your properties?”

“We have no choice but to leave. We’ll lose our properties, but we can think of other ways to earn the

money back. It’s better than losing our lives, isn’t it?” Melinda said.

Hearing that, Richard now knew that the Stewarts had no plans to defect to Vadesia.

“Okay. You should make preparations quickly. Let’s get in contact when we have time in the future.

Don’t worry. I’ll take good care of Alicia,” Richard said.

The call ended. After that, Donald’s and Melinda’s gazes met. They were no longer filled with worry.

Henry explained.

“Sure, then. You can go. Tell Alicia not to bring things she doesn’t need. Her life comes before

Donald and Melinda were somewhat worried, seeing as Alicia didn’t take the call. It would be nice if

Henry went over and paid her a visit.

“I’ll head out now. We’ll meet in Garthram,” Henry said.

Henry got in his car and drove to the Hudsons’ home.
