452 Calling Zi Han an ugly man

Zi Han wanted to completely let go and indulge in this moment. After all the pain and anguish he had been through he wanted to surrender in his embrace and kiss him to his heart’s content but that sweet fragrance was irritating him. It was entwined with his lover’s fragrance invading his territory and trying to push him out.

Zi Han couldn’t stand it. He pushed Yi Chen away and began to check where the smell was coming from.

Yi Chen misunderstood. He honestly thought that his wife wanted to get down to business here in the alley. He held the man’s wrist and pulled him closer while saying, “Baby, we can’t do it here.”

Zi Han who couldn’t begin to fathom how Yi Chen’s brain worked, “...”

He freed his wrists and continued to say, “Stop messing around. Why do you smell like that? Who have you been in contact with?... Is it a woman?” he said while checking his arm and there it was. There was the culprit. That smell had seeped deep into the fabric at his arm like someone had hooked her arm around his.

Zi Han immediately grabbed the lapel of his outer cloak and took it off the annoyance in his heart growing stronger.

With resentment in his eyes, he threw that cloak to the ground and stomped on it so hard that it resembled a rag from the dump. Zi Han wouldn’t stop. He kept going until his forehead was laced with cold sweat.

Yi Chen was afraid he would hurt himself thus he embraced him from behind trying to stop him but Zi Han didn’t appreciate it.

“Let go,” he said but Yi Chen embraced him tighter with his warm breath breathing down his neck. Zi Han felt a sense of comfort wash over him but his anger wasn’t vented out yet thus he tried to push him away but Yi Chen wouldn’t barge.

.....

“I am just afraid you will hurt yourself,” he said his soft lips brushing against Zi Han’s ear.

Zi Han felt an intense shiver travel down his spine and an inexplicable heat rose in his chest but he wasn’t biting. He managed to push him off and continue stomping on it to his heart’s content.

When he had finally let it out he pulled his hair back with a sly quirk at the corner of his lips. He was about to turn to Yi Chen and ask him if they could go somewhere more private when Yi Chen cupped his face pulling him close for a deep kiss. He wanted his lover’s full attention. He wanted his wife to be fully engrossed in the kiss and indulge in this beautiful moment.

Zi Han didn’t even have enough time to think. He subconsciously took a step back but Yi Chen followed him placing his hand on his waist drawing him closer till their bodies were plastered together. While they were engrossed in the bliss of a loving couple, a loud shrill voice broke this delicate atmosphere.

“AH!! BROTHER CHEN!!” screamed Mi Mi who had been frantically searching for him after being scared half to death.

She had been looking for him throw out the night market. It was only after she had calmed down a little did she realise there was a slightly larger crowd in a specific area. When she was walking in that direction she heard conversations about some handsome guy and handcuffs.

She ran in that direction only to find nothing. She turned to the auntie selling some trinkets and asked her if she had seen a tall handsome man.

The auntie put on a kind smile and said, “I will tell you if you buy a bracelet and a necklace.”

Mi Mi, “...”

She sighed heavily and took out a paper note. The auntie beamed as she pointed at the alley. Mi Mi took the necklace and bracelet before rushing over to the alley. Who would have thought she would receive the scare of her life?

The man she fell in love with was kissing a man in a dimly lit alley and from the looks of it, he was the instigator.

Her heart couldn’t take it. The man who was ice cold to everyone was happily kissing someone with such eagerness. Zi Han pressed his palm on his chest and pushed him away but Yi Chen wouldn’t let him go.

It was only after he punched his chest a couple of times did Yi Chen let him go.

Zi Han panted slightly having almost all the oxygen in him sucked out. While he was catching his breath, he heard his boyfriend saying, “Mi Mi, I want you to meet my wife.”

Yi Chen stretched out his hand and interlocked their fingers his expression and tone brimming with pride.

Zi Han cleared his throat before staring at him his gaze accusatory. “Were you trying to suffocate me to death?” he said and Yi Chen proceeded to ignore his fierceness.

“Isn’t he cute?” he asked like it was a matter of course.

Mi Mi’s chest felt so heavy like something was pressing down on it stifling her breathing. Where was this person cute? He was as regular as the bald headed pervert at the corner store where they buy nutritional supplements.

“But he is...,” she said only for the man beside her brother Chen to chuckle.

“A man. Is that what you want to say?” asked Zi Han as he let out another low laugh while wiping the saliva at the corner of his lips. He didn’t know the Republic’s take on same sex couples but he couldn’t judge it based on this one girl’s take.

Mi Mi’s gaze shifted back and forth between the two as she clenched her fist tightly. Wasn’t a wife a woman? Wasn’t he supposed to be a she? Even if he was a she what was he doing here? Did they really come to take him away from her?

This she couldn’t accept but who was she to cry to? She just looked at them with her obsidian eyes fending off the urge to scratch this ugly man’s face.
