A deep gash was formed in the right shoulder of the giant tree monster, but the attack was not enough to completely sever the arm.

The collateral damage from the attack was expansive, though!

The shockwaves from the attacks, combined with the massive force that was transferred to the wall when the giant tree monster came crashing down on it, was so damaging that an entire section of the wall that was hundreds of years old had come crashing down!

The sight of such a historical monument being destroyed stirred the sadness, despair, and rage within the hearts of the defenders. Some of them fell to their knees in dismay, while others allowed the rage within their heart to burst out, simultaneously bursting with explosive powers that blew away the rebels around them!

Whenever the hunter cornered his prey, one of two things would happen. First, he would complete his hunt, securing his prize. Alternatively, the prey might burst out with sudden, unimaginable power, blowing away the hunter and gaining room to retaliate!

Right now, a greater portion of the defending soldiers lashed out, their bodies straining as the dormant Will within their hearts was stirred awake!

In ancient Elven texts, back during the Era of Gods, where the Elves had yet to make a name for themselves, they were a very popular slave race. The prices for their kind had always been sky high. Back then, there was no need for a black market when it was publicly recognized that Elves were prime commodities and everyone wanted a piece of the pie.

During those dark ages for the Elves, a single Elf had risen up, taken up the sword, and fought for his kind. With his example, countless Elves did the same, picking up weapons to fight back. That single Elf had been the first King of Elves. With his ascension and blessing, the Elves had gained a collective Will.

However, with the dominance of the Elves, this Will had become a mere fairy tale. The condition for this to be activated was for a large number of single minded Elves to fight for the same cause, with only the thought of protecting their Empire dominating their minds.

Coincidentally, the intention to protect the Empire that they knew was something that resonated within the hearts of the defenders right now.

Forest Heart!

The Forest Heart was the name of this unified Will that could be awakened by Elves alone.

A bright red flame lit up within and around the bodies of the defenders that still remained standing. Their combat power underwent a sharp increase as they began to push back against the attacking rebels.

"Die, rebel scum! Let your blood pave the way for our Empire's dominance!" With a righteous bellow, a soldier severed the head of three rebels in quick succession as he utilized a special movement technique to dash through a hallway.

Similar events happened like this all through the battlefield. The thousands of soldiers that were still standing began to display an unexpected show of power that completely threw off the momentum of the rebels.

Leon noticed this as his elite summons battled the giant tree monster. The Peak A rank monster naturally could not compete, but with its size, bulk and density, it was able to last against them.

"Seems I'll have to send out the rest of my army now." Leon hummed and spread open his arms. The mana within his core boiled in anticipation as he activated the skill.

Whoosh!

Dozens of black portals opened on the ground and in the sky. Dark legs stepped through the portals first, carrying the crisp sounds of feet touching down on the ground.

At first, it was like a trickle of water, but soon, the sound of the feet of the Undead Army slamming on the ground turned into a roar that could not be hidden.

A curtain of spells blotted out the sky as Leon's top mage summons carried out precise attacks on the defenders. Ice arrows, stone bullets, and many other attacks that were not area-of-effect in nature rained down and accurately struck the defending Elves.

Tens of thousands of powerful B rank summons rushed forward to engage the defenders in close combat. At once, the disparity in strength could be seen. The defending side was immediately crushed under the domineering power of the Undead Army.

"Where did these things come from?!"

"I heard of them before! They are the army that fights for Leon Cromwell, one of the Chosen Ones from Divinity's Bout!

"Fight back! Our reinforcements are on the way!"

The soldiers quickly rallied themselves to fight against Leon's Undead Army. The B ranks and A ranks among them put up a united front, but before the unstoppable army that had as many A ranks and B ranks as several kingdoms put together, they were quickly put on the back foot.

The rebels that had fallen into a disadvantage were taken aback when they saw the tide of undead soldiers that were fighting their enemies. They had not been told of Leon's actual identity, so they knew nothing of his participation in their war. However, they did not let this stump them for long and quickly regained their fervor, attacking the defending Elves with much more vigor and ferocity than before.

The pressure that the defenders were faced with suddenly increased several times over, making them fall into a passive situation.

Leon passed a simple order to his summons. If the enemy surrendered, then they were to be spared. But whoever still fought and resisted would be mercilessly put down. This was a rule that Leon had always stuck by. If the enemy surrendered, then so be it. He would not kill them like dogs. However, if they refused to accept his offer of mercy, then he had no qualms killing them. After all, they would turn into his own combat assets.

A bloody battle began to unfold. The Elves were very steadfast in their beliefs and remarkably few of them surrendered. None of their powerhouses chose to bow their heads to Leon, so they were all killed and would turn into his soldiers after some attention from the Abyss of the Undead.

In the next couple of hours, the Wall of Magair was conquered.
